Cube did destroy the office at Priority, but the president of the company stepped in and made the charges go away. A part thats overlooked is the cube as he's walking out the office, which is the logo for Cube Vision, Ice Cube's company. That encounter encouraged him to launch his own and being mentored while in NY from Chuck D of Public Enemy motivated him to create his own brand.

Loved and saddened for the film 'Boys in the Hood' how stupid the gang culture and the way of the gun just for so called respect etc, I knew Easy E died of AIDS which was real sad only because of the ignorance of it 'being only a gay disease' when its not. I felt like they only showed behind the scenes of pivotal points in their career that the publicly is, for the most part, familiar with. The film has a production budget of about $28-$50mil. I think if it had a larger budget maybe they could’ve spent more time on the things that we don’t know like person struggles and more in depth problems with the group. We definitely should’ve gotten a look into MC Ren and DJ Yella’s backstories. Ps. Took a screenshot of Aaron’s face at 1:19:09 you’re my new fav meme 🫡😂😂

One day some Bloods were on a porch shooting dice and they stopped me walking and one of em picked me up while the other one took my shoes off and they made me walk the rest of the way home in my socks. I was about 8 years old then. A little trivia for you: That's a recorded scratch sample from DJ Jazzy Jeff (DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince) on the scene where Cube walks in on Dre scratching on the turntable. Man, I remember watching this opening night. The theatre was HYPED. I'm sure it takes many creative liberties and glosses over certain details like any biopic, but there was something so cool about watching a biopic about more (for lack of a better term) "recent" artists that I actually grew up on. I always loved the first half of the movie; it really does play like a superhero team-up movie, where we're one-by-one introduced to the key members, seeing their skill sets (DJing, rapping, writing, producing, etc), and seeing the why and how they get together. Considering this came out the same year as "Age of Ultron", I remember telling my buddies at the time: "This is the best superhero movie of the year." LOL. The actual recording scenes were so well done and full of energy; everyone in the theatre was either bopping their heads or rapping along. The second half does feel more like the conventional biopic, where it feels like they're kinda checking off the different notable moments of the group's history, but it's still hella engaging. Pleasantly surprised to see you guys reacting to this one. Love this flick.

Being there to see the rise of NWA was an experience. I got to see one of the first concerts they did for the Chronic tour. They told the crowd to “throw your blunts up, we trying to get high.” They went through sweeping joints and blunts with a push broom . One of the greatest concerts I’ve been to to this day. (Nas and Mary J is up there. Onyx live was 🔥).

Regarding Dre and his brother, Dre made a song called "The Message" on his 2001 album. It's a very emotional and touching song dedicated to Tyree, one of my personal favourite Dre songs
