You can see at the the first compression out of the gate the car could have touched 250kph except for the slower car they had to be wary about and slow down.
Great driving by the R8 owner, considering he's not a local. Amazing car. But Misha you never really seem impressed / bit tight lipped when it comes to giving compliments 😅 I'd tell the guy amazing job, car sounds insane and thanks for taking me along!
That Cayman was something else...you should be able to send those people straight back home. Anyway, stupid question alarm: How do you sync the Speedometer GoPro with the Handheld Cam? Is there a trick, or is it trial & error?
Was about to comment the same, but you @Misha Charoudin were faster! But a bit of additional info anyway, since I came here already! Video clips in general are synced with the help of audio waveforms. The sync clap/snap provides a clear transient that can be easily seen as a spike in the waveform. Works every time!
@@cw205mi16 it's exactly the same cayman that was blocking him for a while in the 991 GT3 video the other day. Clearly the guy think's he's faster than he actually is. Bit of a nob really.
In case somebody doesn't notice the different map, just watch out for the TC light, lol. It kept turning on in the second lap, as the torque goes up quite a lot I guess.
The R8 is still such a brilliant supercar. It can be a great daily as well as a great track car. This one looks and sounds so aggressive. Nice driving too.
I am not sure I could see a clear difference between the 2 maps but I figure it is different when you are physically in the vehicle. There a couple of clinch moments but was still very fun to be a part of. Thanks Misha
It has more torque and will run faster through the gears. Schwedenkreuz and Fuchsröhre he still got ~250 even with slow entry and breaking for traffic.
Is it just me or was this chap goin at it the way the other Senna driver did a few months ago? Goddamn, that felt brutal! Also, what tyres was he running? The car seemed to have been grippin really hard n sorta looked like there was a lil more room left as well
That cut out of the speed limit area is amazing editing, the cut after lands exactly on the same rpm. If you were not watching the video but just listening to it as background noise, you wouldn't have noticed. Good job!
He's done that in at least one other video too. I almost missed it because I didn't look at the video during the cut. I just wondered how the fuck the car got through Breitscheid so fucking fast :D
@@syedlifts23 mate it doesn’t matter what the tach says, the redline was probably increased from the tune or maybe it’s just on the tach and not the actually engine idk, If you look At a stock pov of a r8 v10 plus the redline starts at 8700 maybe 8800 max
The ring has a 130 db limit, that's pretty loud, most straight piped cars will easily pass that. The Ring has one of the loudest noise limits for any track.
Yes I know it has a high limit but I've seen a few videos where they've been banned for the day for high noise so it makes sense that if you think it's loud then don't trigger the sensor. This is probably what this driver was doing when he had the valves open...
Hey. Nice video Can you share how you achieved 700hp? and what is the torque nm? Do you have dyno- pics you can share? I assume this is E85 I am 643hp and 603nm. Custom tune and exhaust on 93 (98 EU) R8 V10 + 2017- model year Thank you
I always thought these were useless heavy turds in N/A form but this was very very impressive, the way this thing was eating the ‘ring and lapping around my beloved M cars changed my perspective (still can’t afford one lol)
Why are you not driving the car in Competition mode, dry? I see the TCS light blinking the whole time. Competition turns that off. Assume you have “Individual” set to steering “Comfort” and everything else “Sport” ? For a straight piped car there are zero pops and burrbles on down shifts and off accelerator moments. People have no idea how fast gen 2 R8’s are and how confident feeling they are on track. They make you faster because of the confidence and the high revving low torque is easier to drive than say a 720S under boost.
so is this louder as lambos that are getting banned or not? I noticed he lift off in the part where they (if I remember correctly) clock the decibels :D
In fact you dont know your own car - you can go In M4S then are the gear changes even more faster :) Option 1: select your individual programm and customize it with sport gear Option 2: push the gear Changer then it selects from comfort to sport
Dynamic Transmission in Individual Profile + Sport Mode still isn’t the fastest shifts. According to the manual, being in Dynamic or Performance Mode does further increase the speed of your shifts beyond the max of Auto, Comfort or Individual Mode maximums. The modes were done very poorly IMO. Every profile has a “sport” configuration. Auto (S), Comfort (S), Individual (S) and Dynamic (S). Then there’s Performance (S) - with 3 different diff configurations. That’s 7 Sport modes, not factoring the manual versions (8 total if post-2016 and 9 total if 2016 or earlier - Auto Performance was removed post-2016, it’s only manual now). The manual they give suggests that MS Dynamic and MS Performance are the fastest modes (M indicating Manual), but people are reporting that (Auto) Dynamic S is the actual fastest mode. This is because Performance mode stops supplying power after 8K RPM, whereas Dynamic goes up to 8.4K RPM. Performance mode feels faster because high RPM upshifts jolt you forward, unlike the other modes. But (Auto) Dynamic (S) is actually getting you around quicker.
Puh, just from watching..... a bit unique line and style of driving. Ok, driver explained at the end which if fair. Just 60 laps. Car has enough power and grip. Great to see, the car has brutal potential.
That cayman driver was so unpredictable indicating right while staying in the middle then indicating left for some reason and trying to block you passing him multiple times he should not be allowed on that road.
The cayman should have got out your road. The difference in the maps is daylight to eachother. We need this everyday beautiful r8 . What's your most favourite car you have drove .
I have the same problem with my Mr2 in parking lots. Engine in the rear, no one hears you coming to get out of the way. Although the dark car color and approach speed here may be a factor😉
