A person that can be scared off by a simple question is not interested in you. They are just enjoying you like a grocery store sample and will walk away without a look. It’s better a guy walks away early. People will ask you to rub body parts together and exchange potentially life altering diseases but asking them to commit to the idea of a relationship is too much. Asking the person whether you two are ready to be exclusive is very different from being controlling and giving an ultimatum. 2-3 months is enough to find out about common interests and by then decide if you wanna stay together or keep playing the field.

When my husband and I had 1 month dating; one of my uncles advice me that, I should tell him to give us 6 months of dating and if by then we don’t decide to get engage, we should move on with our life’s. He told me that because I was already 27 and my husband 29, so my uncle said: he already knows what he wants, if he doesn’t want you, don’t waste your time. I see where Daisy is coming from! My boyfriend and I were not exclusive for the first couple months of our relationship. I was in a poly relationship with 2 other guys at the time and I was getting hints from him that he wanted to be with me only. So we both decided to become exclusive :D But my relationship was very much different! I wasn't about to rush into anything- I was done with games. And so was he.

making something exclusive is not the same as getting married- if it doesn't work out in the long run you can still break up and there is no consequences. 4 months is way too long to have this conversation you should ask even earlier. if he's not interested in only you after 4 months there's no spark or anything then move on, this guy is not for you.

Men in four months I was wayyyyy past exclusive with my partner...I let him know my expectations from early on...there is nothing wrong with communicating expectations. If he runs let him but four months is more than enough time.

I'm not asking for a relationship but believe me within that first day I'm asking what are your intentions and hope that his words match his actions and his actions match his words. It's not rocket science at all. Aside from that, I'm not giving any guy no sugar till he verbally ask me to be his girlfriend. Go out on all the dates you want but if you're sharing intimate moments with every guy you're dating do you think that you've won or did they win by getting something out of you with no boundaries nor exclusivity ? Some women try to play the games guys play and end up getting burnt or choose the wrong guy out of their pack and the next thing you know they're the same one's on "Hey Steve" asking why he never take me on real dates we only text. If you're going to play around than play it smart by going on dates that a guy is actually paying for you not 50/50 and him treating you with nice stuff. I'm not talking about tricking him nor fooling with his heart but a guy who is open and willing to do so (I've met a few). We courted/dated for 3 months solid before he asked me to be his girlfriend. Which was about right. I was soooo ready. I’m pretty old school.
