I have Straight Talk home phone service which was always using the Verizon Network before they purchased TracFone so in my Straight Talk Home Phone Box there is a Trac Fone sim card which is running on VZW I love it

I've been using Straight Talk for about 8 years. I've switched from their Verizon to AT&T network. After AT&T started not letting you use any gsm phone like they used to do I wasn't able to use my global unlocked phone, so I had to go back to the Verizon network. I have 5G and good sevice so I'm happy.

It is an absolute nightmare switching customers from one network to another with tracfone. Horrible hold times and delayed ports. If you want to go to another carrier absolutely painful trying to get port out pin and them to release the number. They are trying super hard to force people to stay on Verizon and stay with them.

T-Mobile advertises on billboards that they cover 99% of our county. Guess that means our semi-rural area is that one percent of non-coverage. Cricket does well enough for us.

Cricket needs more international coverage

During the migration from GSM to CDMA, TracFone/Verizon are offering to mail customers a Verizon Network Sim. However, if customers elect to purchase (a $.99 or $1.00) TracFone Verizon Network Sim from Best Buy, Walmart, Target, etc., those sims will not work. Only the TracFone Verizon Sims mailed to you will work... signaling the end of the anonymity millions of TracFone customers enjoyed for years.✌🏾

I bought a simple mobile phone at my local walmart a few months ago and when I tried to activate it they told me I had no service in my area. At first they said my sim card was no good so I bought another one at walmart plus a $50 monthly card. Long story short I ended up losing $60 they took the phone back but nothing else.

We had an unlocked Samsung S9 and it stopped working and they sent us a free $60.00 Moto Pure which sucks. They no support older unlocked Sprint phones which is what this was.

If it's anything like what the major carriers have done when dropping support for 3g or non-VoLTE compatible phones, they'd likely send out the cheapest phone they can that'd technically work on the Verizon network to those customers locked to whatever mvno brand they had along w/ a verizon compatible sim (or it already installed in the phone)

the $40 unlimited plan is a port in... deprioritized at 35gb... I was hoping for a single line they would offer a holiday promo with a gift card which they did for previous holiday seasons but seems not the case this year. Probably will stick with cricket for now... If cricket gets rid of hbo on my line if probable leave though.

I personally hope that we see straight talk customers spread out to other MVNOs. Specifically ones that are being innovative and actually providing a great experience like US Mobile, Mint Mobile, and Cricket. Straight talk really doesn’t deserve to have the share that does in 2022 with so many better options on the market.

curious: so i have the Sammy 22 ultra (unlocked) on a t-mobile sim thru straight talk. (no problems thus far) however they're pressuring me to switch to the verizon sim, claiming it'll be much better & blah blah blah. my question is: has anyone made the switch yet & what are your experiences? *i wanna know

Question: Have Straight Talk on AT&T network for many years. I have a Straight Talk iPhone XR. They have been hounding me to upgrade to Verizon Network. They sent a new SIM card to me but I'm apprehensive as to if the Straight Talk AT&T Network iPhone will work with this new Verizon SIM. Any help would be appreciated.

I need help badly!!! Im 65yrs old, live alone. Suddenly without any notice, Net10 stopped my voice calling in and out, but I still have txting. No cust ser, but robot says my phone is fine. I hae auto refill mid month. Its a locked Moto from Amazon. Noone will unlock it or help me. Net 10 wont answer calls. I have no way to call for help in case. Can I unlock this thing and how do I get a refund????

Like Sprint, it seems Verizon will not be getting my business going forward. The loss of CDMA matters to me on both of these carriers. My magic 8 ball keeps predicting Boost is in my future, but too many variables remain.

I have a Oneplus 7 that uses only 4g Volte, trying to get a 5g unlocked phone but it looks like they only work with t mobile (no 5g unlocked at&t and Verizon phones) network and I'm trying to get Verizon. So if straight talk is still a thing after November 23 2024 that means I can't use unlocked phones that use 5g and have to use what they sell at Walmart? I either have to get another 4g volte unlocked phones or use t mobile 5g unlocked phones til Nov 2024. Moral of the story I'm trying to find a new unlocked Verizon compatible 5g phone new for less than $500.

Do you think by MVNO’s running off the big networks, can that cause Verizon not to work as good as they use to be, I have dropped calls with Verizon now, I use to have no dropped calls! I still love Verizon tho! Great info

With straight talk the network was based on the device you chose it was Boyd that had the choice of network

From my experience, with Verizon pre-paid & any tracfone mvno customer service, people are going to churn like crazy. Unless your on Verizon postpaid, customer support experience will be crappy either way. Also the network performance will be worse; especially if you’re in an area where AT&T &/or T-Mobile performs better. Up until a few years ago, I usually had service with simple mobile or straight talk; I’ve also seriously considered page plus, Walmart F.M. & net 10. The 1 thing that always stood out was calling Cust. Support. It wasn’t horrible but you can tell they’re reading from a script.

I've used Simple Mobile as my main Sim for about a year now, which uses T-Mobile. I haven't received any emails or texts from them yet. Simple Mobile has always been one of my main backups when other great deals would end. Most stores have their Sim and they are relatively easy to activate, unlike some others that aren't. I do not have a current phone that will work on Verizon, so I'd most definitely have to find a provider, which I luckily do have right now in Red Pocket's Unreal Mobile. That was always meant to be the backup just in case Tracfone made the change to Verizon only, like you said they eventually would. So I guess I'll need a backup for this one too eventually. Looks like I have about another month before I'm essentially thrown off the network like I was with Cricket Wireless. Yeah this stinks, but it is what it is. Carrier dictatorship is about to out in full force it seems fairly soon.

I was using a sim unlocked 13 pro max with an Att compatible straight talk SIM card. This would have affected me but I switched to Att and I’m sure many people will do the same. I did get messages saying to click this link to receive my free Verizon compatible SIM card.

I had straighttalk for about 12 years, using AT&T network, and always worked great! Started to receive messages saying I need to change my sim card to enjoy Verizon network. I did change after about one month of consistent text messages and emails! After the switch, both mine and my wife's phone got really crappy data speeds and lots of dropped calls. Spent over one hour with really bad customer service from straighttalk trying to make the right setup for my phone, that was already with the right set up! Just switched to AT&T yesterday! Will pay a little more but at least will have something that works! Sorry Verizon, but your services suck!

I actually don't think Cricket has that many great deals and do think they have the highest Prepaid prices. I believe Boost generally has better deals, of course with network issues. Metrobytmobile has way better deals and slightly better deals on service. I'm actually very surprised Cricket is growing.

Most of the tech illiterate people I know use straight talk. I think they think there's no other similar plans. other mvno's/carriers should work on advertising their prepaid plans.

I’d rather have straight talk Verizon. My tmo service now buffers where it never used to 4g or 5g. Just sick of it.

I plan on upgrading my phones unlocked Motorola stylus G 5G 2021 or Motorola one Ace 5G 2021 which works on Verizon network bands I want to stay with Simple Mobile but if to leave Simple Mobile several MNVOS I like Visible Wireless , T-Mobile Prepaid , At&t Prepaid , Cricket Wireless , Metro by T-Mobile and Ultra Mobile , Mint Mobile , Red Pocket Mobile I have options and money to buy a new budget / mid-range and switch to any carrier I that want, I will wait see when Verizon Wireless switching to Verizon network and bands , that why I'm choosing Motorola phones since they always work Verizon Wireless network I had my Motorola E4 Plus using Verizon prepaid back in 2018-2019 I love Verizon network but the price is always even on prepaid side of things I'm prepared anyway happy memorial Day to everyone

The tracfone thing sucks AT&T and T-Mobile have better coverage in my house. Verizon has 3 bars tops and that depends on whether you're upstairs or downstairs

Straight Talk is a bunch of Thieves. A couple months ago the tray that holds the SD card and SIMs card was broken. They told me to send them the phone and they will send me a new one. I had a TCL 30 XL. I paid $174 for it. I put a $45 card on it and used it for two or three days and then the tray was broke. So I sent them the phone and to this day they will still not send me one. They're telling me that they don't have one to send me. This is been going on for a couple months. They told my case manager at the mental facility that they would send me $100 phone until they obtained another TCL. Wait 3 to 5 business days. That was told me four different times. I have still yet to receive a phone. When I sent the phone I told them if they don't send me another phone to please send the old phone back because I had a trey for it. They said they can't send that phone back to me. So now I have no phone with Straight Talk. I keep getting messages saying I'm going to lose my number because I'm not re-upping my phone. I can't afford a lawyer. I don't know what I'm supposed to do now. My case manager cannot help me because it is a legal matter. I have the dates and times of all the phone calls. They not only lied to me they lied to my case manager on the phone as well. They're basically ripping me off. So all I can basically do is start flooding a bunch of different videos and message boards about what they have done to me. They must not be God fearing people. Because what they're doing is wrong. They should not be taking advantage of people with low income that can't afford to fight back. So please file some charges against me for posting all this stuff so I can get in front of a judge and tell my story about how s***** you guys are. Straight Talk should be ashamed of themselves and when the day of judgment comes they shall not pass for what they are doing. I have the receipt when I sent the phone I have all the dates and times I called them I have my case manager that was lied to you as well. It's one lie after another just prolonging it thinking I will just give up. I'm not going to give up. All I have is time on my hands
