Strange behaviors a narcissist might show at the beginning of the relationship 

They like staying on hard times as long as your supporting them!

Be careful if someone says I love you in a very short time. Because I personally learned that never can´t be true. The reason: You can´t know anybody in one hour. Narcissists speed everything up and you are like a fish on the gaff. (They bomb you with texts ...). And it is too good to be truth. I can tell you they are totally different people who they show you to catch you like a fish... (The real person will come out in the develue and discard phase). They are not kind and friendly (not at all). They are only kind and friendly when they want something from you. Be careful out there. Stay safe!

On the first date he said “ I love you but I’m not in love with you” … we just met 4 hours ago 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

My narc told me he cheated before and wouldn’t do it to me😂😂😂. He had me over sharing and I didn’t know 10 things about him. I was constantly annoyed due to the gaslighting and CHEATING. Such a waste of my time.

Lee, I am a woman and I had a weird experience with an ENVIOUS female narc neighbor, and I IMMEDIATELY noticed that she was trying to FORCE me and RUSH me into having a relationship with her! I had just lost a family member and I was grieving at the time, and she was trying to take advantage of the situation! Mind you, BEFORE I lost the family member this same female didn't even speak to me, and she was always looking at me with an envious look, that lip up to your nose look! 😂😂😂 And on top of that she was trying to dress like me and wear her hair like mine to the point that it was creepy and DISTURBING! BUT as soon as she heard that I had lost a family member, HERE SHE COMES knocking on my door, stalking me, leaving flowers and gifts and cards at my door! 😮 She was even trying to hug me and she was telling me THAT SHE LOVED ME🙄, trying to rush and force a relationship with me! One of the things that she said to me that was a red flag was that she would do ANYTHING for me, and she said that she wanted me to know that she wouldn't say this to just anybody! 🥴🥴🥴 This was a big red flag for me because I would only THINK ABOUT trusting someone who is good to EVERYONE because that's just who they are, but she THOUGHT that she was being clever by telling me that she was ONLY willing to render her services "to me" and nobody else! This woman didn't even know me and acted like she hated my guts before, but all of a sudden, she wants to do ANYTHING for me and be my bestie? Yeah right!🙄🥴🥴🥴 To make a long story short, this woman tried EVERYTHING POSSIBLE to force a relationship between her and I, until one day I just let her know straight out that I wasn't interested! And man did she get angry! She started banging on my bedroom wall, yelling loudly at her children, cussing them out, and then she started stalking me even harder, showing up at grocery stores and places that I shopped at! IT WAS INSANE! I couldn't believe it! She was angry because not only did I tell her that I wasn't interested but I also wouldn't speak to her AT ALL! When she tried to say hello, I just ignored her like she didn't exist! She got so mad that she packed up her things and moved out, and I haven't seen her since! That was one weird experience! So yes, I believe that there are always red flags that can be clearly seen by people with NPD, and that's why they try to rush you into a relationship!

Ok, my experience was the opposite. He was a golden child. He has never asked for money, in fact he always spent money on me. Never a poor pitiful me came from his lips. He thinks he’s God’s gift to every single person. When looking back, a random memory will pop up and what I feel like he was doing was telling me who he was. Having a great conversation and all of a sudden he tells me that he has body dysmorphia. Or when he said that his mind works like a file, everyone and everything has their own file. He told me about cognitive dissonance once, he loved it when he was with me but never thought of me if I wasn’t. He said out of sight out of mind, along with saying the words cognitive dissonance. I love your channel and it has brought many of his behaviors to light. But please, please have a show about the grandiose narcissist, the golden child that can never do wrong and he would rather die than ever say poor pitiful me or ask for money, because he’s “the best” and will never need anyone’s help. Lee please make a show about this type of narcissist. I can’t find any all over the internet about grandiose narcissists, it’s always about the poor pitiful, woe is me, I was abused, yada yada. He is an only child and he could shit on a paper plate and his mom would be so proud and show everyone. Not really but you get the gist

I didnt know anything about narcissism before meeting my narcissistic husband on line. He said some of things you mentioned, Lee, including admitting to being an asshole. And i did ignore some red flags, but By this time i was in love (with a person that didn't exist because i was love bombed) and trapped in a traumabond and married. I trusted that he had my best interest at heart. Who would intentionally be deceitful, conniving, and cruel to their new spouse, whom you are supposed to love and cherish? Now, we are getting a divorce after barely a year together. And my heart is broken into a thousand pieces. Looking back, i think he was just a predator looking for a naive person he could use and manipulate. I will never fall for this again and wish this destruction on no one.

A "former friend" will talk to strangers about her abusive parents. She is in her 70s. No one I have seen talks like this in a grocery store line. Learned later....she played the "victim card" to seek supply. There is MUCH MORE to this story.

Blamed women for why he never had a gf in high school (I was his first gf at 21) 3. For context, I’m white and he’s hispanic and black. He said if he ever found a lost wallet, the first thing he’s doing is looking for money he might be able to have cuz that’s just what black people do (I still am shook on this one cuz uhhh…no not true imo) 4. Always was convinced that there’s always a way to cheat the system and not have to follow the rules, steps, laws, etc ever. He’d constantly cheat in school and then blame me for him not doing well on tests 5. He grew up obese (got a gastric sleeve in mid 2021 to lose weight) and blamed the government for his obesity - not that he persistently over ate on calories, was sedentary his whole life and that’s why he gained all that weight 6. Said a real healthy relationship means a man and a woman become “one” and make each other their entire world and give up everything (literally everything) for that person and won’t ever leave cuz if you really love each other then you’d never ever EVERRR leave them 7. If I wanted to be left alone cuz he just finished yelling at me, he physically wouldn’t let me. He’d always stand by the door. If I took a step one way to get space, he’d take that space away by stepping the same direction. He’d do this while having such a cold, dead, detached stare on his face (gives me chills thinking about all the times this happened that led to worse abuse) These are just some of the many I could write, but definitely are the strongest in my mind

The first red flag that I saw was that my narc seemed not to be focused on me or what I was saying during our first date at the park. He also told me that he was a nice person, which I thought was strange.

My ex was trashing his and called her crazy and said she didn't do shit when they were together and he spoke bad about all of his exes and he ended up with me a month after a break up and I also found out he was messaging me when he was in 2yr old relationship with his ex and got pissed when I said how could he speak to other women and also didn't say he was in relationship. It's the biggest mistake I gave him 2 chances because he tortured and abused me even worse during our relationship and engagement and then got back with the same ex and spoke to her when he was with me in relationship and he literally did the same thing to me as with everyone else just worse, even tho he said he never loved anyone like me before truly. Sooo gross, I feel disgusted.

I don't know why he was putting my life on a display, but... gee, if I wanted my stuff being publicly discussed, I'd keep up with the Kardashians! No idea what was the point to do it (if you have any idea, please let me know!) . Basically he was just like JLo showing to her buddies the love letters written to her by Ben Affleck. My ex was discussing EVERYTHING, including our intimate life and a weight of a steak I ate one day for a dinner (I am not kidding! Btw I am a slim person, so...)

Yes, yes, yes, and yes. I mean I watched, squinted hard, listened, thought hard on what I heard, I was skeptical kept him at arms distance a long time but yes, I fell for so many of these. Damn, I never met a guy who is such a great listener, asking questions, jiving w what I have to say, common experiences...and I never met a man who noticed so much. Yada Yada. I attributed him breaking out the "I love yous" pretty early to to him just telling me what he thought I wanted to hear. Couple months or more in, leans down in the middle of sex and whispers 'I'm gonna marry you' in my ear. Again, thought it was just talking me up, fluffing me, also there were other circumstances to which I could attribute stuff like this. I know he had fixated on me as the one (the one what I'd find out later) when he sat me down by a lake and told me in an awkward sounding way all that about fucking over every girl he'd been w. Great detail about cheating on his ex-wife, I thought and thought and talked it over w my girlfriends and asked their thoughts. Same as me they felt a guy doesn't usually just tell a girl he likes all the bad stuff. Not just the cheating and all either. All of it, why he was down and out etc. Hell if it didn't work. Or at least broke down resistance. I was still checking him out. Believe them the first time, then run. I know now but I paid for that knowledge. Most of us did. Yes, they will tell you what they are and believe every word. Except I love you and I've changed.

I have a question , something that I have been wondering about for a long time . My narc ex is an alcoholic . He would do outrageous , stupid things when drunk and pretend not to recall what he had done when sober . . . One day he took my brand new electric pressure cooker and put it on the gas cooker !! Then ran to call me to remove it when it started melting ! He stood there stupidly staring at me as I removed it and put the fire off !!

One of the strange behaviors is the person who is protective. This person who seems as protective at first, where you see it as romantic. Yet the narcissist is insecure and tries to control you. An example would be. My ex is the beginning of dating would walk me to work, and I thought it was romantic. Then, things changed when I git promoted and had to leave earlier. He accused me of cheating because I had to leave a few minutes earlier. What I mean by few was ten minutes. So he gets very angry then to apologize to make it sound like he is just being protective of his lady. Come to find out he was cheating. The woman who he cheated on me couldn't see him at the time he wanted to see her.
