think it's interesting that in stranger's parts, specifically the beginning and after the first chorus, seem to be making fun of omori. stranger's goal is to save and free sunny. while doing so, in this song, he's beckoning, he's taunting, he's _mocking_ omori. "your job is done. you can try all you want-- he's going to get out, whether you like it or not." and try he does. in the end, it's up to you whether omori's efforts amount to anything.
I like the play of the "I pray to God/I pray to you/I pray to the Dreamer who made me" lines, both because of Basil's devotion and consuming fixation with Sunny and how, with the dreamworld being Sunny's creation, he is the "God" of Headspace in a way.
Always been a fan of Stranger. So i'm really happy you gave him a voice... He really is just such an interesting character. Completely different from both the dream and real versions of Basil. Like... Dream Basil is happy-go-lucky and scared. Real world Basil is a scared and deepy messed up person. But stranger... Stranger is just a friend desperately trying to reach out to Sunny and give him a way out. Out of everybody, and despite how long it's take, he never gives up on Sunny. He never gives up on fighting back to free Sunny. Even if he's losing, he still fights.
It's really interesting how Stranger is both aware of the world, and close to Sunny/Omori, but also subject to him. Really love how your portrayed his torment.

This sounds amazing like SO good, but heres a few OMORI thoughts. Every character is implied to have some issues, most obviously Aubrey's parental and anger issues. Basil was always anxious, not having his parents around, and what he knew how to do... Kel and Hero have problems with Hero getting a large amount of pressure to be "perfect" and Kel getting too little attention, also Hero is implied to have depression and Kel being implied to mask his feelings with happiness. Mari is also implied to have perfection issues, we don't know for sure but she was likely under a lot of pressure from her father, and while we again don't know, Mari broke her knee, and with how hard she pushed Sunny, she may have pushed herself just as hard, which makes Hero's guilt make more sense. Sunny ironically has the least problems other than the most obvious one, he is implied to always have been mute, though its less of an issue than a character quirk, and the dependency on dreams. I know this got a little off topic from Basil but uh... OMORI is fun
Stranger is one of the best omori characters in my opinion, and seeing a song mainly centered around him really made my day also not to mention this is an absolute BANGER.

I don't believe so.. I think it's another version of Something! Instead of the trauma and burdens that Something brings, Spirit Mari is real way that Mari would act, guiding Sunny through his pain. But idk I could be wrong too!

Wait, this only has 5 days out!? Considering how late i am to the party, i believed this amazement of a son had at least a year! I just now fell into the Omori rabitt hole and fell in love with Basil's character. I just have a thing for adorable shy character who get/are broken and have dependancy issues Also, the part "I pray to god, I pray to you, I pray to the dreamer who made me" showing the different versions of Basil, and "to the one, to the heavenly sun", each reflect the same thing: To Basil, Sunny is a divine being whom he needs in his life. Not only for the idolised image he has of Sunny, but also because Sunny holds the key to his salvation: Sunny is the one that needs to come clean first because if Basil does alone, not only he would be selling Sunny out, he'll be truly alone in the fallout because then he would be the accomplice and the snitch. I'll be crying to the poor flower child while this is on repeat for at least a week
This song portrays headspace basil and stranger very well, I love it. Every day you post a song is a good day for me, and thanks for giving me something new to listen to through Covid >:)
3 versions of a charecter is intresting yes, but in OMORI all the charecters have 2 versions, so its not as intresting, but what makes BASIL an intresting story is that his versions are so diffrent from eachother, and unlike AUBREY's HS charecter, basil was never like his version, as Ugot Mail said, dream BASIL is happy-go-lucky & scared, wereas in the past, it was likely BASIL was just a scared kid with a few friends, and then present BASIL is scared & deeply messed up, and then theres stranger. STRANGER. STRANGER, i belive is the personification of SUNNY / OMORI's hope to get better, hope to someday look past this incident, get out of bed, get out of the house, and go have some fun for once in a long time, the game OMORI is SUNNY's recovery story, it can eaither end in SUNNY killing himself, or SUNNY finnaly moving on. how SUNNY's recovery story ends depends on the PLAYER.

Basil was my favourite character ever since the first few minutes of Omori. And this song does him justice, I think it perfectly portrays the war between Basil trying to lead Sunny to the truth, and Omori trying to keep him from it. In other news, this song is a banger, keep up the good work! (Yes I know this song is months old but I just finished my first playthrough of Omori yesterday. It hit me harder than falling down the stairs ever could.) Anyway, great song!
Its been a long time since this was uploaded and I still love this song. Its super cool how there was a deception made between realworld basil, stranger and headspace (Blackspace) Basil, and particularly their own perspective on the dreamer (Omori or Sunny). Its also super cool how you expressed the emotions of how Headspace Basil felt in blackspace, and strangers take on trying to guide Sunny to face the truth. Overall, great song. Can't stop relistening to it

To be honest, I'm not a big fan of Basil as a character, but this song really makes him justice: the separation in Stranger, Dark Space Basil and Real world Basil is very jarring, and this ending....your Omori fansongs have been incredible, so of course I'm not surprised, but man ! Is it good! As always, congratulations !
The great part about channels like these is I forget about them for a while, but then RU-vid puts them back into my feed and I can go back and enjoy the songs again.

"Where is the gateway to heaven when I need it?" "To the heavenly sun" okay.... So if the Sun(Sunny) is heavenly, that means gateway to heaven is a way to reach him, for DreamBasil it represents the want to be saved by Omori, for Stranger - the desire to tell Sunny the truth, for Basil - it's all about his simple NEED for Sunny, he doesn't want to handle all this trauma alone, he wants his Sun to be there for him and not leave him behind for so long like Sunny did. (Why Basil needs to suffer that much?...)
Some of the lines are referencing the worst (in my opinion) part of the game (the entirety of black space) like the heavenly sun who sits on a red velvet throne, how omori sits on a throne of red hands, aka sunny's headspace character
