@@sabcam2000 how? I think it makes sense, but they are the most unconventional paid. That’s what makes it cool. Dustin brought out the humble in Steve.
Nope, that’s a REAL mall in Georgia. It was failing so Netflix got ahold of it. They redid the entire section, even parts that never made it into the shot. They had to remake the structuring because the support pillars were weak, and get as much vintage stuff as possible
Thats impressive. They really mimicked the 80s looks of a mall, including shops like JC Penney and even the ealy Gap which around that time was called The Gap.
I think from here the season just gets way better. I liked the first two episodes but 3-8 is such an intense ride. They really grab you and don't let go.
BRIA I think episode 4 is where things get starts to get intense and interesting. Episode 1-3 was more like developing the characters especially with the mind flayer building an army.
The mall isnt cgi, it was stated that they used an older mall and rebuilt half of it for use. The other half was still in use though. The cast was interviewed and talked about it.
Hopper’s overprotective behavior actually makes sense not only because he lost his daughter, but also because his daughter never grew up enough to date or anything like that. So, he is experiencing all of this for first time. With all of the baggage of everything else.
I think it's funny that nobody has pointed out that apparently Joyce is the only person in the whole town that's noticed the magnets. It never becomes a "town talk"🤔. Haha.
@@Dell-ol6hb True and because it's a show but in real life evvvvvverybody would be talkin about it. It makes it seem like only magnets around her are doing that. Haha
Yeah if people have refrigerators then they will notice them not closing anymore since refs' doors are made of magnets. Also other machines with magnet mechanisms will suddenly become broken.
@@mannylugz5872 EXACTLY! I mean I know it's a show and of course they're going to focus their attention on the main characters. So of course Joyce is going to be the one that's freaking out about it but they also do include a lot of stuff that's going on around the town throughout the show and it just seems very odd that nobody else is talking about it whatsoever🤔🤔🤔. So of those rides wouldn't be workin. Haha
Actually guys I heard a podcast with the people who did the sets and they actually found a real mall build in 1984 and they physically remodeled all of it practically with real signs and so much detail, more detail than we even get to see on the show. It was a huge job but they really did it. There might be a little CGI, but it’s mostly all real. Truly amazing.
The mall they used is called Gwinnett Place Mall i live near it and used to shop their when I was younger. Seeing it in the show brings back so many memories, I love this show!!!!!
Al's original hit, recorded in a bathroom stall at Cal Poly 40 years ago (6 years for the show). I'm guessing that clip will be shown during his breaks between songs in concert, can't wait to find out in two weeks.
So many shows have people having private secret conversations that everyone around should technically be able to hear easily. So I love how this show subverts that! I think Jonathan had developed the photos and was just making prints, so Nancy did waste some of his time and effort ruining a print but didn't irrevocably destroy any original pictures. Yes that's a Weird Al song.
In every comment section, of every show, people constantly ask for multiple uploads, but 1) Weekly uploads provides 8 Monday's worth of content. That can be backlogged, so the work is all done by week 4 (that's a random number), so then they can relax the other 4 weeks (but realistically, they're not relaxing much, they're editing other reactions) 2) Weekly uploads increases subscriptions. If I stumbled upon a Stranger Things video, and I liked it (which is likely, if I'm looking for reactions to Stranger Things, because this is a good reacting group), then I will want to see the next. I'll binge watch as many episodes as they have, and then I'll want to see what happens next, so I'll subscribe so I'll know the next time one is uploaded. 3) Weekly uploads increases user engagement. After I've found these videos, and subscribed, whilst I'm waiting for the next one to come out, there's a good chance I'll click on another video series of theirs, giving The Normies more video play time. This is even more so for a show like LOST. There are 122 episodes of LOST. I think all the season finales are 2-parters, so then LOST provides about 116 weeks of content. Every Tuesday, I watch the video they release. Breaking Bad has 62 weeks of content. BoJack currently has 61 weeks of content. I found another channel that was going through 1 show at a time, uploading them often. I had a great time watching through the show she was watching, but once she finished that show, she started a new show, and I didn't care for it. So I unsubscribed. The Normies have somewhere around 15-20 shows going all the time, so there's always going to be more that I enjoy. I'm going to stay subscribed, and The Normies are going to continue to grow as a channel because of their upload structure.
not to start drama but whats with the guy in the middle saying dumping someone for lying is extreme, and then calling eleven 'the worst type of girlfriend' when she goes through with it... if someone lies to your face a bunch of times in a row... you DO dump them.
@@Gorfinhofin Exactly! I'm not saying Will did the right thing by lying but if that's the amount of effort you want to put into your relationship, then maybe it's not worth it. Have you ever lied about being busy when your friends asked you to go out? Maybe because you didn't feel like going out? They should totally stop being your friends according to your logic
Yes it was a Weird Al song, It came out before he became popular, It is called My Bologna parodied from My Sharona. It came out on the Dr. Demento Radio show along with "Another one Rides the Bus". In 1985 you could only hear it on the Dr. Demento Show.
I swear the Normies hear the first theory (There are body doubles) and then just decide to run with it and ignore all other things that point to the contrary being true. The scene with Billy in the Upside Down wasn't literal. There aren't multiple bodies of all the infected. They do it with every show and then complain when their crazy-on-its-face theory ends up not being true lol.
i binged your entire stranger things playlist and my god do you guys keep predicting stuff entirely. micky just said “can you guys please move after this season” yeah guess what 😭
Yes that was a Weird Al Yankovic song, his first single self recorded in a bathroom while he attended California Polytechnic State University. A parody of the Knack's hit song "My Sharona” Yankovic sent it to Dr. Demento, who aired the song on his nationwide radio program. The song was a hit on the program, eventually gaining the top spot on Dr. Demento's comedy countdown. A record label bought the rights and it was Weird Al’s first released single, it sold 10,000 copies. His debut album came 4 years later.
I love how no one seemed to notice the big Russian dude walking out of the Mayor's office while Hopper was waiting. Not a single reactor I've watched yet seemed to have notice it.
i actually saw an interview and all the signs and shots in the mall is a real mall redone and decorated as 80s themed. the cast and crew says it looks amazing in real life!! just a fun fact ahha
Hopper must have forgotten the second verse of that song. "You don't mess around with Slim!" Mike can still come back from the talk like all young men have. 😂😂
This show totally captures my childhood memories of the eighties hanging out at the mall. Totally spot on perfect. I could have watched 8 episodes of just the retro stuff and the kids drama, but the rest was fun too.
Everyone laughs about how Mike thinks Hopper’s crazy, but they completely forget that when they start saying “he should’ve just told the truth.” He was scared, there is ample evidence for this, and why wouldn’t a kid be scared of an angry chief of police? Honestly, I’ve never seen any female reactor for this episode acknowledge how screwed up Max is with Eleven. Neither she nor Eleven treat Mike’s connection to them with any gravity. Max basically gets Eleven drunk on her newfound rebelliousness and laughs with her when Eleven breaks up with him. Neither character has any notion of what actually losing their significant other is and it doesn’t affect them, but Mike is left to deal with it.
Exactly. Mike was scared of hopper and was trying to keep his relationship with el and even get her a gift and then he gets treated like shit. And then El and Max have the audacity to say there being treated bad.
@@Omarxclusive But neither of them know that. They just know that Mike is lying to her and avoiding her. Which is shitty. Sure Max could've told her to talk to him, but El did ask him why he's lying and he wouldn't say anything. They're all dumb kids. Mike should'nt of lied and El (with Max's help) was a bit harsh. Neither side was in the right cause they are literal children...
These guys get so much wrong on such a consistent basis that it is just hilarious to watch. The trailer with THRILLER in it was for season 2..not season 3.
Having watched season 3 like 4 times already, it's really funny to see what you guys guess wrong and right; that's the fun of these shows though, it keeps you theorizing. And btw "Thriller" was used for season 2 not 3.... sorry no dancing zombies.
Steve's Ships Ahoy co-worker Robin, is Maya Hawke, the daughter of Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman. You can see how she resembles her father and her mother.
Hiiiiii,I'm Brazilian and i love your heart reacts.... A kiss from Brazil❤ (Sorry if I wrote somenting wrong I do not speak English, Google translator)🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
I really think you should double drop these episodes per week. Waiting till the end of August for y’all to finish this, when we know y’all probably binged it lol the rest of us seems a bit too much
Its been years and seemingly nobody realised what happened with El's and Mikes relationship. Episode 1, they were making out and in hoppers words "Its constant" yet after one day with max after the freakout with mike, el is happy to break up with mike..... ONE DAY! Life Lesson: Dont trust your girlfriends friends, one moment and your gone!
