Pure Magic. Wow! Thank you Gentlemen. And thank you Oxford Lieder for sharing this with the public. A perfect Testament to what Lieder is all about... I was spellbound when I heard this last night and still the same today. The most arresting interpretation of Morgen! I have ever heard.

Hervorragend gesungen (und begleitet!), die Stimme von Herrn Appl ist wunderbar. Trotzdem, ich persönlich bevorzuge für Strauss Lieder eine Sopranistin.

Beautiful scenery........deflects from song content and thankfully, the misical interpretation which barely exists. A rereading of Gretchen text by both pianist and singer is in order. And please, cut out the visual drama.
