Stray dog wanders into gorilla habitat at San Diego Zoo Safari Park 

Silverback was glancing back and forth like “um, someone wanna come get this dog?!”

Can you imagine not knowing your dog got out of the backyard until you see him on the NEWS!!!

I’m sure he got adopted pretty quick, he knew if he could just go viral he’d find a good home 😂❤

The dog was trying to make friends. The silverback was just protecting his family.There are no villains here.

Awe, poor pup! He quickly found out that he didn't want to make friends after all. I'm glad the dog was rescued. The zookeepers were smart to lure the gorillas inside for their special treat before rescuing the dog.

The gorrillas including the silverback was very chill about this. all he did was kind of 'escort' the dog away from his family. he wasn't aggressive at all, but he did want to keep his family safe from this unknown creature. Everyone was cool.

Those gorillas are beautiful and very gentle.

This dog is a genius. Couldn't find a home, so he jumped into the gorilla enclosure and everyone noticed him. NOW he'll get adopted because he's a celebrity. I doubt the silverback gorilla would've hurt the dog as long as the dog kept his distance. Silverbacks can throw down if they have to, but mostly they're all bluff.

The main troop (Winston family) was in the back bedrooms behind the tan wall. The gorillas that were out in the enclosure were Franklin ("Frank" 14) and Monroe (11) part of the Winston family, a bachelor troop. Both are still considered "black backs". Even though Frank is still a boy he is 400lbs (his dad Paul Donn 450+lbs) and if he wanted to catch the dog he would have. I've followed Frank since he was born, and knowing his personality he just wanted to chase the dog out of the enclosure mostly. Looking at the video there are periods where both Frank and the dog stop and stare at each other. If Frank wanted to catch the dog he would have. The gorilla wasn't even trying. That was just some friendly reminder. To be honest if the dog hung out time enough in the enclosure and stayed calm enough to let the silverback approach or others under the supervision of the male, he would be fine. Gorillas usually stay calm if you don't put yourselfbetween the male and his family, especially with babies.

Don't exaggerate the story so much! If the Gorilla really wanted to kill the dog, it could have easily caught it or threw a stone/stick at it to incapacitate it. The gorilla looked more curious than anything in this video. It didn't appear to be threatened by the dog as it did not beat its chest or even snarl at the dog. The dog respected its space and didn't make it feel the need to protect it. It didn't even bark at the gorillas like most dogs would.

Dog: "If not friend, why friend shaped?"

Smart dog knew that the gorillas had a more stable housing situation than the humans.
