Quin, I must inform you that cats _do_ do the weird glowy eye thing sometimes. A friend of mine had a cat whose eyes practically _always_ caught the light when you tried to take a picture of her, so in every photo she just looked like a demonic entity filled with a deep resentment of all life (fitting, considering the fact that she was a little hellion). Cat eyes are like onions. (You ever seen a cat's sideways eyelids?)

God damn I cried for my little robot boy, this was a really good, chill and wholesome game, but I must say, the sound effects are incredibly well done, many times I felt like I was playing a horror game and got nervous just because of the atmosphere it created. It was cool having more than an hour of you playing a game!

I love this game, me and my friend were dedicated to 100% the game in the first playthrough just because we liked playing the cat, and we even finished all sidequests in the game. The musician that you met, one of the songs that they play is a song called "Counting Stars" by Sabe Jun/nujabes (composer for Samurai Champloo), we also found other easter eggs across the game. Also to answer you "lore" question: When you started the game, you were at the top near the exit, then you fell down into the Slums/Dead City. The Zurks that you meet were the bacteria developed by Neco Corp. with the purpose of eating trash, but when the humans died out of the plague, the Zurks evolved and started eating more than trash. Here are my assumptions: The Zurks were made to get rid of electronic waste and trash in general, but when they mutated they ate not only robots but the corpses of humans too and that's what caused the disgusting walls of eyes, or them eating human corpses resulted in the mutation. I think the cause of the extinction of the humans were because of the plague from the outside, and the dome was a "safe space" and all of the people that were infected were in the slums, as the dome is divided into 3 layers (Slums, Midtown, and Control Room), I'm pretty sure those are divided into the people's classes, the poor and infected are at the bottom and so on... I do want to believe that B-12 uploaded itself to the system. As for why there's 32 hours in a day, that I don't know unless the Earth slowed down and we're millions of years into the future, or we're in a different planet.

When I got to the sewers my thoughts were basically 'I thought I was playing cute cat game, why is it Little Nightmares 2 ending all of a sudden'

Just realized Clementine's fist says "Kiss Me" and I love it. Anyway, timeline as well as I can remember it. Outside goes bad cause humans stinky and pollution/war I dunno but it's no good. They build big underground city to move to and once everyone is inside they close the doors to keep all the bad surface out. The city has three layers, the Control Center where all the big people in power are, Midtown where the people with more money could go and have better living conditions, and the slums for everyone else. Living underground is hard and sometimes they needed more workers to do small jobs, so they made the Companions as basic labor robots. Time goes on, life in the slums isn't great, they aren't allowed to have any lights so the electric bill stays low and since there's no where else to put the trash from Midtown they just throw it down into the Slums. One day someone who hates the dark puts up a bunch of lights in the Slums and they go to jail, but after that everyone else gets lights too and they can't arrest everyone. Neco Corp is the big company up in the Midtown and they take responsibility for the trash downstairs. They make a bacteria to break down plastic waste and help clean up the Slums. People in Midtown aren't happy cause after a long time underground it's less fun even if you're rich and there's more protests/crime committed. People at Control make the Sentinels to keep control cause no one can outrun the small fast flying drones with tasers. There's also police Companions now. One day a big plague breaks out and the entire city is thrown into a panic. People in the Slums can't get the help they need and start to die quickly, and an outbreak in Midtown also wipes out the humans there. Control realized they wouldn't be able to do enough to save everyone so they put the city in full lockdown with the Sentinels on high alert to catch anyone who would try to break out so the disease couldn't spread. Even then, either the disease somehow reached Control or they died through some other means, but with that almost all the people in the city died with the disease and those that survived couldn't live forever. At this time an engineer and scientist that lived in the Slums realized his death was close at hand. Using a machine he attempted to give his consciousness to the body of a Companion to continue living, but the transfer failed and he became trapped in his own computer system. It's unclear when the Companions began to learn to think for themselves, if some of them were programmed that way or learned it from people maybe even the sentient Companions were people who had been successfully uploaded into the robots as the professor had tried, or if they learned to act human after all the humans died, but with them gone the Companions began to live in the city in the same way the people did. Those in the Slums weren't allowed to go up, and those in Midtown lived easier lives without ever knowing about how life was below. During this time the bacteria no longer kept under control by people began to mutate. It spread increasingly fast and could breakdown tougher materials, but they didn't pose any immediate threat to the Companions. Then the bacteria became larger creatures that could eat even metal and the Zurks started attacking the many Companions in the Slums giving them more food and making them spread faster. Some Companions were able to create a walled off part of the Slums closest to the broken elevator leading to Midtown. All the city outside this safezone became the Dead City with nothing left to reside there but the Zurk infestation which killed any Companion or other life left there. Then hundreds of years later silly cat does a fall.
