Chan wrote the lyrics about his trainee experience and how lonely he was as all of his friends kept debuting without him 😭 Glad he stuck it out like it says in the lyrics cause Stray Kids in nothing without every single one of them and Chan is the one who hand picked them all for debut 💙
The fact that after Chan has been caught the other members tear the walls to save him and in the next scene they are hugging each other and smiling. I think I'm gonna cry.
I was just about to comment that😢 (I figured i should check if someone else mentioned it first tho) cause I only just realized it after rewatching it recently. Those dark thoughts or inner demons (as I like to call those creepy paper bag people) were constantly surrounding everyone and when they finally trapped Chan and he couldn't fight back anymore, everyone else broke through to find and save him from them. Its very true to Chan's real life experiences (obviously cause he wrote it himself ofc lol) but seeing it portrayed visually had me so emotional. Especially when you consider the times he's said stray kids literally saved him and gave him a reason to live and he doesn't know where he'd be otherwise😟
This song is the perfect collision of kpop and jpop. I have loved LiSA for almost 10 years. She is known as the queen of anime OST's. If you like the electric guitar and fast rhythm of Social Path, she has some really killer songs. Gurenge, which has a First Take YT video, Adamas, and Crossing Fields are some you should check out. The MV for Social Path, incredible! They all look and sound amazing. The lyrics are so deep and meaningful. Chan wrote them about his past experiences but then thought other people could relate with their own experiences, and it became a message of "I understand what you are going through." This colab was a dream come true for me, and I love that because of SKZ more people are going to know who LiSA is and vice versa.
Let's see. Things I noticed. -The bag people seem to be representative of both faceless people who are both worshiping & hating at the same time, or inner doubts & thoughts that come when they are alone. -I.N is the first to stand against the tide of people & grasp the light. -Everyone stays isolated till Chan gets taken by the hands. They all had separate things happening. Being isolated, being stared at, being forced to constantly run, being chained in one place, etc. Then Chan is taken & they are suddenly moving. -liSA seems to be a unified voice leading them in a direction. She has the lines " the ashes to prove my passion burning endlessly" (Or close to it....I am horrible at remembering exact lyrics) -When they are unified & moving against the crowds, the ones who are most able to withstand pressure without flinching are in the lead. (Lee Know, and Changbin are the most obvious at the front making a path for the others) -When they reach the wall Chan had been trapped against, they tear it open. There is only 7 of them when this happens....They are going through to reach Chan. (Chan has said in multiple instances that the other members have saved him. If it wasn't for them, he doesn't even think he would be on this planet) -When they are 8 is the only time you see them smile. -There are shadowy hands that are trying to touch Changbin in the beginning, and just as he wakes up you see clawed hands reflected in his eyes/the moon. -Felix's wing actually kinda seems slightly separate from him. Almost as if he has a guardian angel protecting him. It lifts & reveals him a little before starting to cover him again. -In the final dance scene, the only ones with no red in their outfit are Chan, Changbin, and Felix. I listened to someone explain that the colours kinda mean something. liSA has a strong red & black theme. She seems to represent courage & determination. The others have red in their outfits because they gained those from outside sources. (Like the other members, or helpful people) The three who have no red are ones who already had those and didn't get them from an outside source. Changbin & Felix are the least effected during the MV. Felix already had an inner fire, and Changbin refused the shadowy hands. Chan was taken, but he didn't stop trying to escape. There are many flashes of Chan staring ahead, or jerking awake & not just allowing himself to be swallowed. You see him float above the people who took him, until the others break through to him.

Since its been reported that its inspired from chan's trainee days, it makes sense that it calls back to their I AM series esp mirror and voices, but has the grit of district 9. Plus their color is bold red, the most OG Stray Kids Color. Plus the charm of LiSA's voice 😍 finally we have a collab group shot just being highlighted at the end. Oh and it reminded me of their MAMA Victory song haha
Someone commented on another reactor page that the MV also tells the story very graphically. The part where the boys (minus Chan) are fighting their way in a line through the faceless people till they reach a wall they rip through where Chan is alone on the other side.... I must admit I don't get the title but it's an amazing song.

I've been a LiSA fan since 2011, kinda surprised they made her sing fully in English given it's supposed to be a Japanese comeback 😂It's a pretty cool combination though. LiSA is labelled as the queen of anime music. She has around 40 anime songs under her belt and all of her songs are extremely popular. I can only imagine how did Han, Minho and Chan react when this collab was decided, given they are total anime maniacs. I can see them being total fanboys Extra info: I know you reacted and loved the SKZ videos on The First Take channel. It was actually LiSA who made the channel popular. Her video there was only the 5th one to be published (having 133m views atm), she made the channel popular dropping 2 songs there so early on. Right now she has 6 songs there plus one duet. Fully recommended.

I think the part where Chan is being grabbed and is backed against a wall, you later see the other members pushing through the crowd and then rip a wall open to get to him, which Chan has said that he doesn't know how far he'd make it without them....who wants to come cry in a corner with me;;;
I want a making of/behind the scenes to this so bad!! Love the whole aesthetic and the lyrics and LiSA - it's all just so, so good! I also love that we had a taste again of rocker Han - the grit in his tone on those higher notes is so good on this, and not something we really get to hear too often.

The song really was so bouncy, great way to describe it. And yeah it gives off Anime OP vibes (which I love) which is so fitting for a LiSA collab. I didn't watch any of the teasers but I did see stills from said teasers so I was expecting something that was sonically darker and heavier. But after getting over my surprise I really loved it!

I was thinking with it being called social path it could about social media will all the Unknown faces trying to you bring you down always hounding you trying get them to pay attention to them the 'fans' fighting just to get a glimpse of you always being in the limelight being judge for every action they say or do and social media and media taking what their saying and twisting it but they've kept fighting though it to get to where they are and to keep going that sort of thing.
