Thank you for checking out stray kids. Kpop is a generic word, that encompasses a wide range of genre music. Combine with the entertainment they bring is unlike any other music. You get the full meal deal with kpop so to speak. With stray kids music you can get multiple genres, beat drops, unique sounds, and melodies all in one song. They are not like other kpop groups. Nothing wrong with the other groups either. I am almost 60 been around and love all types of music especially my hard rock and blues. Stray Kids were my first love into kpop. Been with them since 2019 and never looked back. First time I have fan girled over any music group or singer. With kpop it is easy for you get to know idols with all the videos they do and how down to earth they are. They become so relatable. Kpopbidols do live videos fan, fan meetings, fan calls, and have apps that you can even text them. They do interviews, on game shows,and with stray kids they have videos befor and after concerts, videos behind the scenes of making their music videos. And with stray kids they usually have more m/v videos for per albums. Even for b-side songs. They also do mini movie concept trailers for each album comeback. All 8 members can rap, dance and have amazing vocals. I love all kpop music. Some songs more than others but stray kids are my #1. I'm glad you are getting into kpop. Han's "I got it" is a must-listen. It's a diss track and there are so many Korean word-play elements. The English phrase "I got it" sounds a lot like a phrase that basically means "shut your trap" in Korean (that's one example)
You can see SKZ with Ateez and BTOB in the Team Mayfly performances in Kingdom: Legendary War. It's here on RU-vid, put out by Mnet. Other than that, these guys are working 24/7 and are sometimes out of the country twice a month. I think the only reason Kingdom worked is because it was filmed during COVID, so they couldn't leave the country or visit family during those years.

Hi again! I'm glad you still gave them a chance, Thunderous is for me one of their best! Funny you said the avatar thing, it's not a reference in this particular case; Thunderous is the english title, but in Korena is Sorikkun, it means "a skilled singer of traditional Korean chang" so it's hinted in the intro that the villagers are in some sort of need and they are like korean mythical goblins (not like the goblins in western culture) ,like deities. As you said before, some lyrics and cultural meanings are lost in translation. But SKZ are indeed geeks, from live action movies, to anime and superheroes, they usually have references of Pop Culture in their videos, they made a MV based on Kingsman movies, they made a live performance with a Deadpool theme, and mention of One Piece lore in some lyrics, and it goes on.
3 songs is just the tip of the iceberg! There are so many varieties of songs by Stray Kids. I’m a baby Stay (newer fan) and really love watching others reactions so thank you! They also have some Japanese songs that are really good! All in is one of my favs.

Han and Changbin are solid rappers, you can hear them in their solo songs, in 3racha and subunit tracks. Han is also a powerful vocalist, he's called the Ace of kpop. He's also one of the producers of the group (3racha). You might like Zone and Heyday from them. Changbin's Streelight has very powerful lyrics, you need to do the lyric video. Hope u don't cry 😅
Thanks for the reaction! My suggestion is as you go down this rabbit hole, it will be important to remember that most KPop groups M/Vs have a Lore that is portrayed. Sometimes subtly. Stray Kids lore is based on multiple dimensions/parallel universes. And the chase through them. So even if the lore isn’t reflected in the lyrics it is usually referenced in the M/V. That’s why you will see each member of the group play 2 characters in a single M/V. You see that here, and in Circus, Case 143, etc. And usually it’s good vs evil. There are just SO many layers to these M/Vs that make them more entertaining than most. And their live performances satisfy those with a penchant for visual sensory performances (like festival, carnival, or even Broadway) In short, regardless of translation issues, or colloquial uses, KPop (which encompasses MANY genres) in general is more interesting and entertaining than current western music. And Stray Kids are exceptionally good at delivering many genres - sometimes in the same song. So there is something for everyone! We will be happy to help narrow that down for you. They’ve been doing this for 6 years and have skillfully delivered I think 18 albums and MANY MANY solo passion projects (not official releases). Welcome to Stayville!
K-pop fans in general are typically pretty protective of the groups they are fans of. However, everyone has different tastes and preferences. There is a wide variety range in K-pop even within groups. I would recommend Venom. Definitely has an interesting sound to it ❤ Megaverse is also great for rap 👌🏻

The only thing I would suggest you never do is say one group is better than another or make comparisons. Fan wars tend to get heated. You can say you like another group just don’t compare them. 😅

Han is who you were asking about. He’s is what people all the ace of the group. Boy is mad talented in everything. Rapping, singing, dancing, writes a lot of the lyrics to their songs. All these guys are super talented. Adore them. If partial to rap, might try Got It, Heyday, 3Racha, Topline (to name a few that I love from them). I like watching the lyric videos too. Takes away the distraction of music videos and their mad visuals. ❤
The deep voice guy is Felix he is from Australia the same as bangchan the guy with orange hair then there is Han he is an amazing rapper then there is Changbin he was the one that started then you have seungmin an amazing vocalist and then you have got I.N he is the youngest then you have leeknow and last But not least you have got hyunjin he is a rapper as well but they can all sing rap and dance

There are some fans out there that feel the need for everyone to love what they love. For me, I just appreciate honesty. If a song isn't your jam, tell me why, and I bet I can find one that is. :) But the fact that you're willing to try something new and listen to something new is great. I absolutely adore Stray Kids, but I don't love all their songs. I think you'd really like Megaverse.
Hey, its good to see you trying SKZ again.. and I am glad this is more your taste. They usually have a concept for their album so certain sounds/beats may be seem familiar and that is mainly because they have their own genre now Mala taste which you can hear to pick out the Stray Kids flair. If you do get curious about a certain track, you could go and check out the album's intro/teaser MV which will/could explain the song and even share how they created it, if you are interested in the production side [I totally am]. They also create the behind the screen or making of videos of most title tracks, if you interest in the editing portion. I see that some Stay have provided info on what 'Thunderous or Sorrikun' means [lots of Korean folk lore] but you will note that SKZ can be very anime focus at times, [which I love Avatar] so lots of little carrots sprinkle in. TopLine, Muddy Waters, Venom, Freeze, and Megaverse. Try these to start with. I love all their songs they are incredibly talented. I am one of the older Stays(I will be 60 in a couple months.
Great reaction. In my God’s Menu comment I suggested Megaverse and Topline, you will enjoy Han in Megaverse. They call him an ace because he can sing as well as he can rap and he is part of the 3 Producers that make most of their music. The other 2 are Bang Chan (Chris) the leader with orange hair and bandages in Thunderous and Changbin that started the song. I still think you should watch Changbin’s feature in the Thai song Mirror Mirror by F Hero and Milli. Even though they can all dance, rap and sing, the rap line is Changbin, Han, Felix (deep voice) and Hyunjin (the “dude” with long dark hair before the one you liked Han). I can’t wait to see who stood out for you in Topline. It features an older rapper that they admire Tiger JK who grew up and started rapping in the states.
Avatar was just based on East Asian culture so a lot of the things that remind you of the show is just apart Korean culture/history (ex: the scrolls, buildings, etc.) But the animation def gives avatar state vibes
Vidoe Meaning: So in this video Stray Kids or SKZ are dressed in all red to represent dokkaebi (goblins) from Korean folklore. While dokkaebi have both a mischievous trouble making side & helpful side the dokkaebi are essentially sent down to earth in this video to "mess with" or cause trouble for all the SKZ haters. (Their music is very differently from other kpop & they've taken a lot of hate from critics & netizens over the years even writing articles calling it NOISE music because it didnt fit the cookie cutter sticky sweet sound of traditional kpop.) So essentially this song & video is a clap back at the haters & every negative thing anyone has ever said about them. The scene of them at the bulletin board was them deciding who they were going to "mess with" next. If you read the lyrics, all of them are essentially clapping back at haters especially the wood cutter line saying there's nothing to cut here. Throughout their discography SKZ has been adamant about sticking to their own sound in the face of hate especially since they are 99% self-produced and write their own lyrics so they are proud of their unique sound. Their leader Bang Chan is responsible for most of their beats and his producing team Memebers 3RACHA aka Bang Chan , Changbin & Han are responsible for all their sounds, lyrics & music. So many if their songs you will see have themes of clapping back at haters or flexing how good they are cause despite the hate they are currently the best selling 4th Gen kpop group, & they continue to break records. Their 5-Star album did over 5.1 million copies in pre-sales which has never been done before so they have the juice to back up the $h!t talking in their lyrics.😊❤ Their music really is fire, Check Out : Heyday, Easy, Top Line, & 3RACHA if you like rap & hip-hop.
So your first initial liked person is Han (aka Jisung). He is actually one of the writing members (production/lyrics). He is what is known as an all-rounder meaning he raps, sings, dances, and produces. I think you would actually enjoy District 9 (one of their first works), Megaverse (newer), and Volcano (solo).
Just keep being honest. I love that your favorite is Hans. His rapping skills are superb. Weird, but thank you for not fan servicing anyone by overreacting to Felix (deep voice guy). He's my bias but a guy with your deep voice so his voice should be natural too you. Seen people overreact because fans say they didn't and it's never good.
You can also try songs like Easy Megaverse Double knot Victory song Freeze Venom Maze of memories Back door Han Jisung solo song - I got it - his rap song Since you asked about groups being separate and coming together, I highly recommend NCT. They are a big group of 26 members which are broken down in about 5 different sub units who also come together and have done mvs with like 23 members. I think you should start with subunit NCT 127 kick it or fact check. For a full group song I think NCT 2018 black on black or NCT 2020 resonance mv.
If you really want some solid rap you gotta get into their unit stuff. Particularly look into songs by 3ratcha (this is a subunit of producers in skz because of course they produce all their own stuff.) Songs I recommend are, 3ratcha, Heyday, Maze of memories, Tortis and The hare, Topline, and Item if you like rap (unfortunately not a lot of those songs will be recommended by others as they're not as popular.) As far as collabs with other groups look into their stages they did during the show "Kingdom Legendary War" it was a competition show and a lot of good stuff came out of it.
Unfortunately, there are toxic fans in every fandom. Ignore them. In my opinion, giving your honest opinion (as long as it's in a correct form) is your right. I like SKZ a lot, but they have songs I don't like. And that's fine. They're just not my songs. Or it's not yet time for me to accept them. That can happen, too.
If you prefer rap/hip hop you have to listen to Topline, tortoise n the hare, zone, runners high, Han’s solo I got it, and Chanbin’s feature on mirror mirror by F.Hero and Millie.
