Slump is one of my favorite songs of all time to be honest. Han wrote it when he was in a really bad place, he wasn't making public appearances with the rest of the boys because his anxiety was so bad. I'm not sure if you know but both Top and Slump have English versions (as well as Korean). Also, they've said the reason we're STAY is because if you take the R out of Stray, it becomes Stay, and the R is the reason they exist which is us lol. Hope that made sense. But anyway, I've been following your journey with the boys here and on Patreon and just wanted to say it's been so nice seein gyou fall in love with them the same way I, and so many others, have. Thanks for such great content!
Fun fact: Slump that you heard, that was the whole song.. everyday I woke up and wonder why didn't they make a banger and considered making it to be a longer one...
I think the reason why the song is short because in real life slumps are temporary and short. We can get by, and move on, and strain forward to become a better person. I don't know if all people experiences slumps. I have slumps and bumps that caused bruises, wounds and scars. But those will lead us to self acceptance, forgiveness, and healing.
I'm so glad you reacted to the First Take version of Slump... it hits so hard seeing them do it live one take in a language that's not their native tongue. Ugh, they're so talented. My recommendation for next MV to watch is "All In" - their latest Japanese release. :)

Top was the first song I ever heard from them when I watched Tower of God anime before I became a stay.. ✨ ..Few months later I became a stay because of God's menu and back door! I was really curious about them..! I used to listen to kpop songs but because of them it was the first time to me to be apart of a fandom.. They are really talented, and I can't stop listening to their songs and watching all of their contents! 😅
Some explained already what Stay name means but I think what you said is also right because they have a song called phobia, they wrote the lyrics like they were afraid of us leaving them something like that and they were asking for us to stay...
