Because open world games give the player freedom and choice...This game didn't really add any kind of new gameplay that hasn't been done before either.....Its pretty and it has a cat...other then that it has little depth...Ill play this when its down to 4.99$ steam sale or ill just pirate it. Not gonna pay 30$ for this! Have a nice day
Lol that got me too! It's a realistic cat concept! Of course it's not going to have a combat setting. The game is about making it to the end without dying. That's the challenge and if you want an even more extreme challenge, try making it to the end game without getting touched or caught! Good luck!
Been following this since the it's first trailer at e3 I think or maybe games expo, I saw it somewhere I don't know where but I always wanted a such short and sweet story driven, smooth, relaxing game, especailly unqiue out of the box experience I think this game might deliver it. So far I've loved everything I saw about Stray. Gonna buy it on steam as soon as it's released.
I would like to see a sequel as well. I quite enjoyed this game for what it was made to be. But I also understand why the developers made the ending the way they did. I can think of so many different endings... the power of the imagination set free.
I'm not a gamer bur I wanted to test a 3090 I use for 3D rendering so I bought Stray to see if I would enjoy a game for once. I honestly hate video games for the most part. Have to say I'm kind of addicted to this one. It's the first game I've played in probably 20 years so I don't have anything to compare it to but I find it to be immersive and I generally care about the cat and it's safety. It's sort of weird that way.
I was fully expecting a cat simulator in a cyberpunk world, and would have been perfectly happy with that. And yet we got a game with a lot of depth, an emotional story, and a ton of heart. I agree that the areas were just the right size, allowing exploration and not overstaying their welcome. Also, while the puzzles weren't exactly complicated, they weren't simplistic to the point of insulting the player either. I like that some of the "cat things" you do, like meowing, knocking things off high places, and clawing at everything, does occasionally serve a purpose to move the game forward, rather than being pure novelty. It's also refreshing that not everything is explained in minute detail, which is really tedious in modern films and games. Stray leaves enough unanswered questions to engage the gamer's imagination.
Game is such a joy to experience. Just buy it. Excellent art, immersion, decent gameplay, stellar sound work. It's just so zen to walk around and observe the world and do cat things.
your review was spot on…I really like the game I'm playing it over again it's just so cool. I guess 8 out of 10 but I too wish the game was longer so yeah I'm already hoping they make a sequel… Stray 2 I sure hope they do. I really really enjoyed your review your good at it and you really say everything. You're quite the pro-at this.
Ngl there is no doubt in my mind that game theory is making a video on this game at some point. The story is good but kind of vague. It is just the kind of game they'll make a vid on. I also look forward to other BlueTwelve studio games. I'd say this is a good start.
This game looks SO INTERESTING! And the quality and flow just looks amazing! i cannot wait to play it! And the premise is just awesome! Just a simple well made game! def worth it! My onl question is, is there a littler box? and can i lick myself?
This game was well worth the money and my time , it was constantly enjoyable! Exploring my surroundings while meeting quirky diverse characters, was most definitely my favorite part! The main story is deeper than what you would expect and does a fantastic job at making you feel apart of the world, gameplay is 5 hours but if you take your time to explore everything, talk to everyone, and complete side quests, you can easily get 8 hours of gameplay. I personally felt the puzzle aspect of the game was very well done! The puzzles aren’t too complicated where you find yourself running to Google, but they aren’t mind numbing easy either. Moments in the game accomplished what they set out to do as well , when you’re supposed to feel stressed , sad , happy , excited , or mad , you really do feel those emotions. I would also like to give major props to the design and artwork behind this game , I’m not sure what I expected the game to look like but I can confidently say I was not disappointed! The graphics are incredibly pleasing , so much so I found myself wandering around just to appreciate it . I don’t understand why some individuals are trying to spark controversy or spit hate on this game , it was a beautiful experience and games like this one is what makes me love gaming so much! I promise you whatever you think this game might be , it’s better .
i want to play this game so bad... but i do not own a PS4/5 and my laptop is a toaster... i'm going through a really bad period of depression and stupidly i'm sure playing this game could actually help me more than therapy wich as today is not working :( sorry for my bad english, it's not my first language.
Just finished this game. Although I love the game because it's so richly detailed and different I do think this game has over big problem; is way too scripted. Not the jumps but more like most objects can't be inspected unless the story wants you to. When the story wasn't progressed enough those objects were just sitting there. Also for me the game became way more interesting during the second half. Can I recommended? Yes, you play as a cat and sometimes need to think as one. That's an insta buy for me.
stray was a fun game i already beat the game the second day it was out, and the ending was sad but i believe they are adding DLC content so is not over
same here in the eu. getting it free with psn plus is a relieve. i think they get it out on 10 am cet and it roughly be around 10 GB, so this will not be that long to download.
I think the puzzles are way too confusing, little information on where to search. Maybe a map would have been useful and some sort of hints cause it's not fun anymore once you have to search for the solution on RU-vid because you spent too much time looking for clues in one place. Apart from that, seems fun, it's something else.
Kinda weird, he doesn’t say one bad thing about the game, then gives it an 8? It’s almost like people are afraid to give certain smaller games high scores. The review sounding like at least a 9…maybe it’s time to get rid of the number.
@@shannonbayley3684 In my opinion a game doesn't have to be complex or intensive to be enjoyable. There have been some excellent "walking simulators" like Vanishing of Ethan Carter, What Remains of Edith Finch or Outer Wilds and it really sucks to see them always land in this 8 ballpark. It has to be reviewer insecurity or inexperience with this genre but it would be nice if we could have meaningful scores for even these less intensive titles.
Can anyone tell me if you can invert the x and y axis, I’m one of those odd people who can’t play with normal controls. I don’t want to buy it if I can’t play it.
? All right I got a pointed out cuz you're doing voice over work I'm pretty sure it's disparate not disparate I thought like that disk this parrot this parrot like disparate this parrot
The graphics are a bit of a let down on PS5 compared to PC but at least it's 60 fps i spose. Another game with low Anisotropic filtering on console though. The PC version just resolves far more detail as a result. Oddly the shadow setting is low quality on everything including PC Ultra which is strange. Textures are barely an improvement on PS4 base too.
Not for me. Frankly it's a walking simulator game without very basic mechanics. The studio capitalized on the "cute little cat" effect. Sure it will work on sensible players and / or cat lovers, but if you are a real player, check Kena : Bridge of Spirits. Now, since it's July and we are all waiting for something new (AAA games will be launch this winter....), I guess people will rush to this game. Too bad this is a "one shot" experience, without any replayability when you finished the game... But yeah : it's a cheap game !!
@@fajaradi1223 halo infinite is not a very good looking game. Just grass some trees that look like pastic that don't even sway to the wind, buildings that look like they are made out of blocks and a sky that doesn't do anything dynamic everything just looks static.
@@gtibro6799 I never said anything about being exclusive. But if you do want to talk about sony exclusives I am sure god of war ragnarok will destroy halo infinite in graphics
