I love that there were folks thinking Drew was actually gonna get a successful cash in. No matter how he planned to do it Punk was gonna be there to ensure it blew up in his face.
Exactly. I can agree people said that he could if screwed drew during the ladder match, but screwing drew during a cash in was in my opinion a smart idea because that really intensifies the feud. Remember what cm punk said, he's going to make Drew's life a nightmare and the biggest way to have that nightmare is making sure drew doesn't win the world heavyweight championship at all.

Not counting whether Damien, the referee, Drew or production screwed up, i called it. Drew wins MITB, then cashes in only to be screwed by CM Punk Again. Hahaha
It's not the referees fault they are supposed to keep the pin going and its up to the wrestlers to kick out on time, it was all Damian he must've gotten his bell rung or got the wind knocked out of him

I disagree entirely on people saying it's a waste. Firstly nobody was going to successfully cash in on Cody or likely Gunther anyway and if anyone else failed it hurts them. They don't like having 2 people carrying the case around. This gives fuel to Drew vs Punk and Seth vs Punk. That's genius stuff. Some people just don't get it.
That point is terrible. If Gable won and cashed in on Gunther at SummerSlam, that would have led to an interesting story for Bash at Berlin with a Gunther vs Gable rematch main event.
People thinking it was stupid to use the briefcase like this are the same ones who think Marko Stunt returning on Collision is “long term storytelling.”
I don't know who got this pin wrong, like, Damien didn't jump up, Seth didn't forced a "pin break" and the ref… lol… but the plan was to be a triple threat since it needed to be non-DQ for the possibility of punk attacking Drew and not ending up with DQ in the match
they aint even wrestling fans tbh, few weeks back they like DrEw To AeW then gets excited when drew was on smackdown and acted like AEW is better and stuff, they an AEW Mark

I want everyone to look at the mitb match and the participants. Do you see either of them cashing in successfully on Gunther or Cody? No if there was ever a time for the briefcase to not be needed it is now.
Not only that but briefcase can't be used the same way Every year last year Damien priest have it for so long that people didn't care anymore so it's ok to do the complete opposite This year
If I read correctly, after the count of two, Drew McIntyre music was supposed to play. But something happened with production and his music was delayed which is why the three count was botched.
@@koop7732 Yeah, Listening to some podcasts, it’s told that Priest WAS supposed to kick out, but he missed his cue. At the end of the match , they say that Priest was visibly upset about it. HHH at the press conference said that it was a mistake that everyone makes.
People need to get over it. Drew had his moment he wanted ,a full house at wrestlemania & winning the title Now long term bookings of him & Punk will be FIRE ,

I honestly think Drew McIntyre should’ve waited until after the match or at summerslam to cash in. I understand Cm Punk is still getting his revenge on McIntyre but now Punk has to deal with Seth Rollins for costing him the championship match. It was an ok match but it would’ve been better if both McIntyre and Punk waited
100% this...but also McIntyre makes sense he just rush it and wanted it now. Like obviously he should wait, but man only wanted the title, and now he wants Punk dead. So tbh, 100% agree with Drew being a moron.
He already said in his promo before MITB that he'll cash-in mid-match and make it a triple threat. Drew has always been a 'prove' myself guy. he hates taking advantage after the match because he lost 2 world titles like that.

First off, Damian seemed loopy even before he took the falcon arrow. This is probably why he didn't think to raise the shoulder, even after the fact. Also, the A/V person probably was supposed to hit the music right before the botch. They tried to do so much, so quickly in so little time, and sometimes it doesn't work. Yes, they are pro wrestlers, but are also human, and can make mistakes. And yes, the cash in WAS the right choice, because Drew said he would do exactly this. The past few MITBs have had the women cashing in during the PLE, so this is good to switch up and it fits the story. Also, we get Rollins, and if they are all good, we have an amazing triple threat for SummerSlam with 3 people who hate each other and have history. The botch was unfortunate, sure, but still, we have an amazing story for SummerSlam.
Drew,punk, and rollins feud is back on. Also I think priest was expecting drew music to hit but it was late, that may be why he didn't kick out the music was the interpretation I had. Or he was knocked loopy
I agree with the streamers who thought the briefcase was wasted on Drew. I knew what was going to happen as soon as Drew won the briefcase. Triple H/writers dropped the ball on this. Terrible storyline. So over Punk/McIntyre.
Exactly and most people don't understand that. They think it should be a guarantee, but it's not. Plus this intensifies the feud between cm punk and drew because punk prevented drew from winning the world heavyweight championship in about every scenario possible: #1 contender match, asking, MITB( match and cash-in).
None of these Streamers seem to think that in the end, GUNTHER is going to win the World Heavyweight Championship at Summer Slam so I don’t really know why Seth Rollins is so upset

They still have a chance to work this botch into a storyline mix during RAW tonightand have the last segment be CM Punk caught on camera paying the ref not to count to three. In story, Punk did it to ensure Drew would see an opportunity to cash in during the match, BUT also to screw over Rollins on purpose because, you know, Punk is petty!
This was brilliant writing by Triple H... sorry not sorry but it sets up Punk for both Drew and Rollins now... obivously Judgement Day is gonna split soon... I think Priest must of had a concussion and missed his cue for the 3 count...
He's upset because it made the performers and the performance of the whole look terrible. I was bummed too. These guys put their all into this and for it to turn out like that really sucked.
I have been a defender of Triple H's booking. But this was a mistake. Punk should have interfered in the ladder match. It would still add to their match at SS. Now the MitB contract is dead for a year for no reason. And we don't even need to talk about the pin botch.

I get that cm punk was supposed to cost drew the title really, I do but, the mitb didn't have to be wasted in the process for a stupid long term booking it's stupid and a waste of everyone's time.
True the briefcase was wasted. But there's no other way considering this means that Priest will face Gunther which Gunther may win which if that's the case then they aren't gonna end Cody's or Gunther's reign on a cash in considering both may still be champ by this time next year especially Gunther considering the earliest he's dropping it is Mania 41 that and with both reigns going on an not ending in a cash in it would feel identical to when Priest had it with him basically just hogging it around and likely having some fans go oh that's right he's MR. MITB

@@BestInTheWorld13x There isn't any room for the Men's Money in the Bank over the next year. Whoever had it was destined to fail their cash in. Gunther is almost certainly gonna win at SummerSlam and he's probably not gonna drop the title until at least WrestleMania, but more likely he'll hold it a year. This Cody/Bloodline thing is the foreseeable future for the Universal title. The only relevence the Men's MitB could hold is in one of the midcard title pictures and everyone hated that last time it happened.
