I haven’t heard this music since I was a kid in Brooklyn in the 80s. Love it.

This lady raised me in hip-hop...stayed up to tape her from at least 1986. Her and Jeff Mills, Funk Wizard Snow, they were everything (shout out to Mimi Brown's Rap Digest also). Pretty as all get out, great voice, the true queen of Philly radio. Thanks reelblack for the memory!

I first heard Lady B is when I was spending the summer with my brother in law.. and he lived out in upper Darby (chester, Pa.) And you know that I recorded every weekend.. I had a lot of the latest scratches and music.. and I'm from Brunswick Georgia.. the greatest!!!

These were the days when I had my TDK tape or Maxwell , Sony tape ready to record Jerzee.

I remember I used to tape this and the "Top 9 at 9" on Mondays through Fridays.

Theses airwaves went way out of Philly...all the way to Reading, and they hit me on the way up. Listening now, Fri. night, when it would have been on back then.

i was from chicago and went away to college in Reading in 1988 and was very, very house. NO ONE listened to hip hop in chi, it was all about house. but then i heard these shows and recorded them and brought them back to chi during christmas break 1988 and my friends laughed and didn't want any parts. 😂😂😂now, i TRULY f with hip hop the long way, all because of lady b and jazzy jeff. i can't even begin to tell you how open i was after being properly introduced to hip hop from this show.

Ahhh...the Street Beat show in Philly! Brings back some mad street memories in Germantown.

It's nice to hear Antoinette rapping, on the opening track. She was definitely one of the most overlooked female rappers. And, just a solid rapper, overall. Her flow always put me in the mind Big Daddy Kane. Pound for pound, she was better than all of the sisters rapping at that time, and some of the dudes too. Yeah, I said it.
