GroovyMAME has definitely saved some old arcade cabinets, and I concur that it, along with CRT Emudriver work flawlessly. To avoid using Windows though, I use the all in one GroovyArcade ISO. Nice cabinet!
Excellent video, enjoyed the trip down memory lane. Brought back memories of me and my best friend ruling the arcade near us. Such great times and that cab you have there is beautiful and the CRT looks to be in great shape. I love the KI intro as well, I was never a huge fan of the game. It is fun but I never got in to it as much as I should.
Thanks for watching Nick! Yeah I never gave KI any attention back then, but it's grown on me lately , I think after watching Chris over at Killer Arcade Games playing it. Plus the intro song kicks ass. Killer Instinct!!!!
Great setup remember it’s not just resolutions grooveymame does but even more importantly it runs these arcade games at their native refresh rates which is something we never had the luxury of prior. Great video . Also you can run it at 224 you just have to install the mode line..
@@cleetusvandame lol I enjoyed it. I’ve always meant to make time to go see your virtual pinball videos. I got distracted by this one on the way though.
@@KillerArcadeGames thank you Chris, means a lot coming from you. Glad you found the content entertaining. I'll be filming the MK2 to KI conversion shortly as well. Picking up a propane heater this weekend to get the garage nice and toasty to start the build!
My friend, thank you for your acknowledgement. Your cabinet is beautiful, i came across this channel totally by accident, when i seen the cabinet it made me watch start to finish. Now you have this cabinet, i think building more or refurbishing some others is the way forward, or make a bartop!?.
Phil, thank you so much for the nice compliment. It wouldn't have been possible without you and Andy. At the moment I'm restoring a Taito Continental Circuit which is one of my favourite racing games and still regret selling my old cabinet to this day. If the board doesn't function, I'll be converting it into an 80s Stand-up racing cab and will once again use your software with the gorgeous 19"CRT I just had refurbished. Glad you enjoyed the content and thank you for watching.
@@cleetusvandame we are all retro brothers, near or far, regardless to age, we keep our dreams and childhood memories close, keep retro alive. Your welcome my friend.
thats a lovely street fighter cab their buddy, enjoyed video,i have groovymame on my cab nothing comes close to beating that, except real hardware of coinop.hyper fighting is my favourite version also.
Thank you for watching Andy and for the kind words. CRT will always have a place on purists hearts as ours. I'll be doing a side by side comparison when I finish my SF2 Arcade 1up, which will have LCD and scanline shaders.
Eae Campeão tudo de boa com o amigo ai campeão na sua máquina qual Sistema de front-end para à emulação dos emuladores o amigo está utilizando na sua máquina arcade aí ??? Só por curiosidade 😀
I am using Bigbox. Can't recall the theme, will have to look when I have the cab on, but was something simple. Didn't want something flashy, just something that works. Thank you for watching.
i took a shot every time you said "uuhh" and i was drunk in 3 minutes. haha but seriously, i have a wells gardner monitor that has been running thru an avga since 08. anyone know how to get it to run via crt emudriver? the screen flips when i try
That's why I don't post videos anymore lol. Not born to be a you tube star 🙂. What chassis is on the Wells? Is the cabinet wired for Jamma and are you using Ultimarc's JPac?
@@cleetusvandame im using a jpac. im not sure what you mean about the chassis. i bot all this stuff back when slikstik was still around. i noticed the vga cable doesnt have a 9 pin. but if i out a regular vga cable on it, and try crtemudriver, itll flip
@@phizzler5051 you have to use the correct VGA cable for the JPac. Get it from Andy at Ultimarc. It's not that expensive. As for the monitor chassis, I meant is as is it a K7000 as an example?
@@phizzler5051 you can however I don't see how you can use an arcade monitor without a JPac as that's what provides the video signal to your monitor. sergio.barros36@gmail.com is the email address.
KI needs the correct CHD file. It's not difficult to find. Google is your friend as listing websites here is prohibited. Note that KI hasn't yet been had the sound issue resolved by the Mame team and as such, the audio on the attract screen is out of sync. A very well documented issue on thr web.
