Street Fighter 2 Character Select Nearly All Versions 

One of the best songs in video game history IMO. The SNES version in particular really brings me back to my childhood.

I was bought by the Nintendo snes which is seriously beautiful but if you listen carefully all the version are stunning in their own right.

I grew up on the SNES version so i like that one the best, it has that nostalgic value...but all in all this is one of the most ICONIC Street Fighter themes of all time

cps1, the best ever

Seeing the comments it amazes me how so many people have different versions that’s nostalgic to them. I grew up on the SNES Version of Hyper Fighting & is my personally favorite but I haven’t found a single comment yet saying x is better than y, just genuine appreciation of this theme as a whole. Street Fighter II will go down as probably one the greatest games ever made

Sega Genesis version is the one I grew up with and nothing else compares. Always get goosebumps when I hear it.

Snes musics just really upset me back then because it didn't sound exactly like the arcade version. At least sega did even if I had to change the pitch sound on certain themes.

Wow as a gamer I'm shocked to say this is the first time I've EVER heard the Genesis version!! Not bad, though I think it's a little slow with the tempo. My favorite by far is still the original Arcade Version.

you forgot super street fighter 2 (SNES) i like this theme best. great video nevertheless. the genesis cover is beautiful, by the way most genesis covers are beautiful. they seem to target an older audience than SNES games, not only with SF but with other games too.

I guess i could switch gb as last since i'd be kidding people if i said gameboy's audio had better quality but w/e the soundfont's on gameboy still have the best music unless it's one of sega's flagship titles like sonic then you cannot argue for the genesis..

I think it's the best because it has better sound to me and bounce. That's my opinion on it. The 3DO version (my 2nd fav) is good too though.

I guess I can see why you say it's "earsplitting" and everything but the audio for the Sega sounded great to me. Although the Sega version does sound a bit more rugged than all of them. I still think the Super Nintendo audio is crap, granted it did sound smoother, but to each his own. In all honesty I think that Sega audio was better than the CPS1 audio (I can see people getting ready to attack me right now lol) except when it came to certain (character) themes. They pretty much sound the same.

The real problem with the genesis version is that is has to much treble maybe i unno sound's so high pitched like "um people can guess".

If it had the same Tempo as the CPS1 version i'd probably just change my opinion... i guess blast processing wasn't as advanced as the Arcades Back then or Capcom just decided to go with the slower more high pitched version i wonder if they have a video with the gen's version having the same tempo as the cps1 just so i can confirm if it Would sound good.

I Dunno about the bounce its that weird dos-ish feel it should've used a different instrument on the genesis that sound's nothing like i could have been even the snes version which sound's sub-par as well has some merit. See the 3DO version goe's orchestra on it and brings that epicness even though it sound's serene and stuff still sounded weirdly the best.
