Unless you're punching, being 'flat footed' is actually considered a negative in boxing. Unless your power negates your lack of skill or you're going Mexican style, you don't want to be still. I'm more impressed with the emphasis on his sways, that's more of a clear boxing skillset.
100% agree. Never liked how be basically had Balrogs body suddenly even though he was shown to be alot smaller, This just feels so much better for him and allows him to stand out as a move nimble boxer.

I like how Ed only uses his psycho powers for the one big dude. Shows he grew as a fighter and relies on his skill from balrogs training now. V he used it in almost every move. Here im betting he'll hold back his psycho power more and distance himself from it so he can be his own person and fighter
or maybe since it is taxing on his body, he refrains himself from using it so it doesn't shave a few years off his life every single time he gets in a fight.

One thing I do NOT like about SF6 is the lack of giant characters even bigger than Sagat or Zangeif. Examples are Hugo, Abigail, T Hawk and maybe now this guy whose name I don't know.
That's so true. I'm actually more interested in seeing returning characters in this new engine versus new ones. usually it's the other way around for me.
i love how the trailer shows his strong sense of balance on the subway since he's a boxer and thats one of the things that boxers religiously practice is their footwork

I don’t see how they go from Sean training with Ken and Ryu to his sister appearing out of nowhere. Sean not even knowing how to fight. Then we have a new protagonist for the new streetfighter generation. 😐🤷🏽♂️
@@TigerGlock At current story is easy for Sean to appear and to be more stronger and better fighter than before! SF6 is after the events of SF3 (like 10 years later), Sean was trained by Ken Masters himself at the time of SF3 story, now with SF6 10 years have passed and Sean has been training all this time with his sister Laura at her Dojo and probably at the streets too.
@@TigerGlock SF5 happened before SF3, so Sean was basically a kid in that game; it stands to reason that he wouldn't exactly be a great fighter in that game.

After completing Aki's mission is alluded that Ed is going play some big role in World Tour and can't wait to see what they have in store for him. Also, I like that during his fight with the Mad gear thugs everyone was stumbling due to the moving train except for Ed, it shows how sturdy of a foundation he has.
Oh my gosh Finally we get Ed and this was worth the wait can't wait for February I'm hoping one of Ed's lines in the game has him saying your on borrowed time
You all can say whatever you want about dudley and shit, but Ed was the most played character among new comers in SFV. And lore wise, It makes sense that he comes back too. i'm glad capcom chose him over fei long, makoto or anyone else. Great redesign aswell. Thank you Capcom !

Honestly I think Ed and akuma have there own stage.. I could be wrong but I since purchased the ult edition. They grant you 2 additional stages and those 2 stages from my assumption are theres.
Ed is using blue energy in the trailer. Blue is related to Soul Power in a lot of Street Fighter material. Ed is not only back, he is stronger than ever before both physically and mentally
@@Potent1al Snatcher is still purple. However the first energy we see is blue with some purple. The last is mostly pure blue. Which means he either is in process of purification or at least discovered ways to reduce psycho power use. Probably so Bison couldn't take his body. After all Soul Power is Psycho Power's antithesis.

Ed was one of the only reasons I was going to get the dlc pack, the literal shadow boxer, and somehow they made him much better looking and voiced great, they turned my boy into Nero, he even has the devil bringer

How the fuck was it unexpected? The last DLC character was in September, its now January, and hes releasing FIVE MONTHS apart from the last character. FIVE months without new content is bullshit. It's long overdue, its not "unexpected" Are gamers really this ignorant now?
Ed looks pretty cool. I liked him in 5 and he has one of my favorite new characters. I know he became a pretty popular character especially for a newcomer.
I think i'll always like his intro theme in V better no matter what since, like a Rush song, it tells the story of how he REFUSES to just become someone else's body or tool! :D
I definitely like this character design. Something about the way he talks lowkey reminds me of DMC characters. Wasn't really that hyped for him at first, but now I'm looking forward to seeing gameplay.
Definitely interested in what that development with the new blue psycho power's all about!...actually, if it's even related to psycho power to begin with!
@@IsmaeelMayat ooo, I like that! It does resemble the blue flame-like effects that show from Rose's soul power attacks. I thought at first it might have something to do with hadou, but soul power seems more likely since it's the antithesis to psycho power!
Ok Ed is actually looking pretty cool I gotta admit. I wasn’t really a fan back in SF5 but he looks much better here. I’m actually excited to try him out.

Ed looks and fights almost like I imagined him to be; Having that blue jacket with the Shadowloo logo brings that heritage honor. With a focus on repositioning and re-standing his opponents to take advantage of missteps they take.

@@gokublack3107it's a possibility because they can make a DLC Pack 2 because Street Fighter 6 is still kinda New its really not that old of a game and not only that look at the roster Street Fighter 4 and 5 had it was like over 30 something characters so it can happen never say never too early.

Why blow your load early on season 1 dlc slots when you can guarantee sales in future seasons when the wanted roster becomes thin and you're dealing with dregs like Karin and Ibuki. Also, gives the devs time to apply lessons learned with future Character seasons. Which is a win for us, si ce that means he won't be outdated in the game(like, look at the quality we have now compared to when we just Ryu and chunli)

Finally! And he has propper boxer stances and punches, I don't see any kicks either, which is nice. He sways around and evades, which gives me Steve vibes, this is also something I love about him, and he looks much better than in SFV. Please don't let him be a charge character and please let it be early February.
@@doomstarrobo7807 I know that he had kicks in SFV, I was hoping he wouldn't have those in SF6 and till now we haven't seen him kicking. I know that he had a simplified style in SFV but since this was the prototype for Modern Controls, his Classic Controls are still a mystery and since he has a connection to Balrog it's possible they think about giving him charge attacks, which I would not like.
my boy has returned! i cant wait to hear his new theme, hopefully they keep the hiphop in his theme, his theme being the only one with lyrics made him very unique and it wasnt so distracting.
I never played SFV so I have no idea who this guy is, but he looks cool, just like every character in the game. Definitely looking forward to seeing how he plays, but I am waiting for Akuma.
He has them since alpha but he wasn’t fully developed until V he was a body for M bison and balrog took him under his wing to train him Ed invented a new technique called psycho boxing in V he meets a woman named Falke he and her from Neo shadolo an organization that gives test subjects that was part of bison’s experiments a new home
So glad they went with his Snatcher V trigger. That one had some real crazy combos even in a game like SFV that seemed to hate combos going over like 4 hits for the longest time. Hes gonna be nuts in a fast paced game like SF6.

Ed is literally the reason I bought a PS4. Man had a dope rap song as his theme and his gameplay is full of swag. Can't wait to see what they do with him in SF6
