In case anyone's wondering, this theme was inspired by the 'Bay Area' theme of Final Fight...which players hear AFTER beating Rolento in the previous stage! I only remember Rolento having his own theme in the Sega CD version and GBA version of FF1.
Back around 2002 when I first got into Mugen I used to always pick Rolento's stage when playing my Capcom Mugen game with my friends, just to hear this song! So many epic matches with Evil Ken, Jedah, and MB-02!
I loved Rolento's stick attacks in this game and that cable line that he used was cool too! Rolento: All set? (pulls line forward, opponent gets hung) Rolento: Mission Complete!
+Retro Gaming Guitarist Well, actually this song is not his theme exactly. It's the theme of the Bay Area from Final Fight, but for any reason they included it in Alpha 2 as Rolento's theme.
This theme makes me want to drive over some enormous bridge in a huge city while the camera slowly gets further and further away while filming the scene.
Love this theme music. Loved it since it came out in the 90's. One of my favorite SFA theme. Originally from Final Fight arcade I played back in 1990! Love it!!!
Biggest Badass of all time!! He'll click his fingers and hang you from the ceiling while his buddies celebrate on the roof with their knives in the air!
my childhood memory right here..i remember my uncle rented this from a blockbuster store back in 1996 when i was 6yrs old..im 19yrs old now and i can say tha 90's shine tha most for my life growing up..i thank my uncle for bringing me up in gaming no lie back then..he got me playin final fight when i was only 3yrs old..when i turned 4..i got crazy gud..lol (i almost 4got..if anybody still has megaman x5 on ps1..if u take tht cd out and put this game in..this song will play for X's intro stage)
Fighting game tracks of the 90's, up until 00 had more style to them. They truly strengthened the character's personality, along with their stage. This was definitely the appropriate Final Fight theme for Rolento. It sounds like something is coming after you, cruel and cold.. I don't really feel or see anything from fighting music today, a lot of it sounds forgettable, even annoying.. Like I don't really remember any of the tracks from Street Fighter V... Tekken I think next to Guilty Gear, are the only fighters I'd have to say, that still have awesome tracks today.
Shows how little you two know. This isn't even Rolento's theme. Rolento's had his own theme since the original Final Fight. USFIV fixed his theme by updating the original Rolento boss battle theme. SFV has themes that blow Tekken and Guilty Gear's out of the water. Theme of G Frosty Boulevard 1 and 2 Theme of Cody Theme of Zeku Theme of M. Bison Theme of Balrog Theme of Vega Theme of Zangief
its amazing but i dunno bout that 1....then again when :36 comes u may have a point its like upbeat hip hopie then it starts soundin like sum krazy shyt
Ever since SFA I've maimed Guy. My best mate mains Ken. SFA2 IMO is the best SF ever made. This was the only level we'd fight on ;) good times, great BGM.
@neon6 But remember: We don't know that. He was presumed dead because he was never seen or heard from again, but, they also never found his body. He could make a surprise appearance.
@TheTaiyakiGuy actually i think it fits his dark story now. It feels sad but also epic at the same time. Rolento has speed and well honor so i think the Fight Against Rolento theme or Industrial Zone fits him. Although i have a feeling Capcom wanted to remix this badly and handed it to Rolento, but that's my guess lol
Rolento was one of the bosses from the original Final Fight game, he wasnt in the console version cos his stage got taken out :(. This music was actually from the stage where you fought against him, on the platform list that goes up the scaffolding.
Can't forget the original CPS1 coin-op as well. Anyways, the Bay Area BGM suits him much better than his first theme, which wasn't even heard by those who only owned an SNES (it's FF1 port was the best-selling home port of the game).
@LivetysWiretys agreed. Sodom needs to be in SFXT, Ono promised we'd see people we haven't see in a while and he's just as good as any. I could see him and Yoshi as potential rivals
Rolento is long overdue for a triumphant return. They could have had him, Punisher and Ghost Rider in MvC3, and the disc would have caught fire because due to Bad Ass overload....
Ahhhhh, I had no idea. I had rented FFGuy as a kid, and used to own the 'Cody' version haha, as well as the Sega CD and even the gba versions! :P I guess I really used to be an FF nut cos I had 2 and 3 on snes also. I never got Streetwise though, of course (I REALLY wanted that game to be good!), and I never had a Saturn to get FF Revenge.
