I absolutely love (and sincerely appreciate) how you guys post the price of each item. I know it may scare some people off, but I appreciate not spending countless hours googling how much something is or going there and being surprised out of my shoes of how much the things are. Thank you so, so, so much!!
You guys are the sweetest couple I love all your videos! It has me so excited to come to Japan next month. Thank you for all your vlogs. Love from Scotland xx
Seriously guys, how can you resist yourselves from eating all the food there in Japan and not get fat? All the foods there are TO DIE FOR!!!!!!!! LITERALLY, ANY FOOD!!!!! 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
i have found myself looking up recipes for some of the things you showed, we just have nothing in my area of USA so trying to see if I could make it myself
THANK YOU for showing me that shiberia DOES exist!!!! I've wanted to try this vintage confectionery since I've seen the dedicated documentary via Sweet Tales, but it seems it's not so in fashion anymore therefore a little hard to find.
You guys seem to be more comfortable being a couple on camera and in public and I LIVE FOR IT! I think people should love whoever they want and have public affection with anyone I'm bisexual and so is my bf so (my pfp is us)
I must be a grandma, because I want to go to Sugamo! Everything looks absolutely delicious! It also looks like it might be the anko capitol of Japan, which makes me love it even more! You had one amazing anko treat after another. Wow! The senbei also looked so good. Thanks for the amazing video! I hope you're both doing well.
@Mindy's Mom It made me think of you, too, sister. You love those treats, too! We need to magically teleport ourselves there! Sending hugs and love to you and your family, too!
@Holly Hasegawa Nielson Absolutely! I love these videos. I know you love anko! It's so amazing, isn't it? I hope you are enjoying the weekend. Thinking of you!
I'm always happy when the guys (Satoshi, particularly) feel relaxed enough to be a bit more intimate in public. As a member of the LGBTIQ family, I was glad to hear (in the Asian Boss interview) that attitudes are changing in Japan.
Have you ever compared tofu makers from different areas of your ward? I remember one somewhere in Setagaya Ward that produced great tasting tofu products from fresh to fried daily. It might be interesting. Love your work. Cheers.
I am going in my kitchen. I am hungry. Unfortunately, we don't have a Japanese population in Houston< Tx. We have 78 Different ethic groups. Japanese would be a wonderful addition.
pancakes are like pizza.. everything goes and with pineapple and ham its the best. anyways ! One day I will come to japan .. and I will eat EVERYTHING!! GAAAH NONOMNOMNOMNOM
You prolly dont give a shit but if you're stoned like me during the covid times you can watch pretty much all of the latest movies and series on instaflixxer. Been streaming with my girlfriend for the last few months =)
Omg those Japanese pancakes with the butter look absolutely delicious 😍😍 I just love watching videos of Japanese street food, I really love your channel.
this is an old comment but I am curious since you mentioned it are they together as a couple or just really good friends who are very comfortable with each other?
Oh, my gosh. Everything looks so good and tempting. However, the food that caught my eye the most was the black sesame ice cream. Thanks for talking us along with you. I enjoyed looking at all of the shops along the street. By the way, I liked the background music.
Sugamo is on my list for my upcoming Tokyo trip. I want to visit on festival days (4th, 14th and 24th) when they have more street vendors. I made note of the places you visited so I won't miss all those snacks. Thanks for the video!
Satoshi may have to escort Shinichi home - he looks drunk on that sesame ice cream! For someone with a sweet tooth, being able to visit here would be bliss!
I have a list of items to try: aji furai, anko & butter dorayaki, gold sesame milk ice cream, and as a gift for my husband, I'll get that cheese & natto senbei :D
I came to Sugamo on my last visit to Japan - well, I AM a Grandma - "Old ladies clothes" 😃 - but I see now I missed sooooo much that I have to come again. Thank you Satoshi and Shinichi for showing us so many good things. I need to make pancakes - I am craving them now! But SALT ... and PEPPER?!? Ok. I'll try it. I have been able to buy uncooked azuki beans here in Israel but to be honest I haven't a clue what to do with them. Maybe, as you talk about them all the time, you could do a cooking video showing us how to cook the beans? Please!!! 🙏
We stayed in Sugamo across from the famous temple (line ups to wash statue) 4 times for 2 weeks each time because we LOVED the neighbourhood so much. The new minipaku (sp?) laws have caused many good AirBnB to leave the marketplace otherwise we'd still be staying there! I never did buy the famous Red Underwear for Good Health that more than a few shops sell along that road.
Dango was my favourite. I loved trying the different snacks and street food when I was in Tokyo and Osaka last week. Your channel was really helpful in teaching me about what to look for and try. Thanks gents!
The sesame ice cream looks particularly interesting. I haven't tried sesame much, so I can't quite imagine what it tastes like. By the way, what's the title of the music in the beginning of the video. You've used it before, and I like it a lot.
I love your adventures! I'm a big fan of doriyaki, especially anko. In fact, I love anko full stop! Have you tried Scotch pancakes? Doriyaki are very similar. I have such a sweet tooth, haha! Keep up the good work you two, give Justin a treat from me! :-)
Hi Satoshi and Shinichi! Growing up in Hawaii, every time I ate a dorayaki and a castella cake, it was always, always stale! Even here in Maryland, it’s just as stale or if worse! Eating fresh dorayaki and castella cake is such a game changer! So jealous!
Absolutely loved this video guys. Everything looked delicious and I’m a huge fan of Mackerel so when we are there in August we’ll be sure to check out your mums recommendation. Omg and that black sesame soft cream....yummmmmm. Now we have another area to check out to add to our ever growing list lol. Awesome job guys!!
Loving ALL your Tabi Eats and collabs but especially these latest ones! You both seem more relaxed and enjoying “the work!” Great to learn interesting and tasty local areas outside busy Tokyo. I love Sesame anything, Mochi anything and good Napolitan!... so another area is added to my Must Go To List. Arigato Again!🌈❤️🌈
I have tasted the black sesame seed icecream and it is amazing, a local chinese restaurant suddenly had it included in the icecream section for the buffet. Always be bold and try something new, dear viewers & readers ! Thank you for a great video, I am 40 but most certainly INTERESTED in SUGAMO
I've watched this video at least 5 times, and my mouth waters every time I watch it! Sugamo is also apparently on the Sakura Toden Railway route, so it's definately on my bucket list... food looks much better than the rainbow sweets at Harajuku. ( in my opinion, anyway.)Seems like a lovely relaxed place to go - thanks for the information guys! :)
Hi guys! Your videos are presented very simply but fun to watch because you look like u really enjoy whatever you're doing. Satoshi looks much younger now that he's shaven. More power to you both! 👍🏽✌🏽😊
Ohayo boys! ❤️❤️ I just adore you both so much! What a great area. The Dorayaki with butter and the ume monaka-my mouth was literally watering! Brother Satoshi, I love your passion for natto! The natto and cheese senbei looked delicious! Brother Shinichi, I loved what you said about the shops.... “mostly clothes for old ladies,” right up my alley... 😂😂 Oh my gosh! Everything that you boys had looked amazing, but that shiawase (yaki) dango! YUM! I love that it wasn’t slathered in sauce, just lightly grilled....and the kintaro ame shop, so kawaii! My okasama always loved hatchimitsu ame. Brothers....I love love yokan and castella! That Siberia roll-oh my, and if your okasama said that THE BEST aji furai can be found at Tokiwa Shokudo, then I believe her! ♥️ Everything about this video reminded me of sister Erin Uber, as we know how much she loves anko and black sesame. ♥️ Thank you for sharing! Loved the shamisen music! Going on to my bucket list for sure.
@Mindy's Mom The dango did look really delicious, didn't it?! I'd love to try that, too. I hope you really will get to visit Sugamo when you go to Japan. Wouldn't it be marvelous? Sending lots of love your way, sister. Hugs!
Erin Uber......It did sister! I’m so used to seeing dango with a jellied teriyaki type sauce on top in our local Japanese market. Bleh! How fabulous would it be, to try a freshly grilled dango? ♥️♥️♥️
@Mindy's Mom In San Francisco' Japantown, I've had dango with sauce, and the sauce was not jellied, although it was very thick. I think it might be an acquired taste. I'd love to try these though...they really look great, and it would be so fun to have them just off the grill! That would make them even better. Sending more hugs your way, sister.
I stayed in the Sugamo area during my first visit to Japan and never went to the places you went to. I didn't know they were awesome because I couldn't read Japanese :( I did eat at Tokiwa Shokudo and had a kakigori at Atelier Sekka and both places were fantastic!
I love your channel! I need to stop watching as much as I do because I get so hungry looking at all the delish things you guys try! lol You did inspire me to try Bibimbap from your Korean Airlines video. It was delish and I have your channel to thank for introducing me to a new fave food!
I borrowed my daughter’s ice cream maker just so I could try out some Japanese ice cream recipes that I found online. I can’t wait to try the black sesame recipe.
"Keep feeding me, please!" I'm late to these videos, but as I watch I've been waiting for one to feed something to the other. This was the 1st time I saw Satoshi feed Shinichi 😁
Yummy your videos always make me hungry hopefully I can go to Japan soon I would to taste all the foods you guys reviewed I'm sure it taste good those pancakes reminded me of Doremon anime he love those cakes great job on the video I'm learn alots of things about Japan and it's worth discovering yourself when you are in Japan
You guys are just amazing! I love the way you introduce the food and all your tips!! I am a big fan ! I suppose I have to lose some weight before I visit Japan! I want to taste everything !!!
