It’s one of my favorite foods from home town. It’s a local southern Thai dish not Malay dish. You can find it anywhere in Southern Thailand or southern restaurants. We call “Kao Yum” or Rice salad. Basically, it’s rice with variety of vegetables or some flowers. The blue rice made from butterfly pea. The dressing made from fish sauce and sugar cane. It’s sweet and salty similar to nam pla wan (the sauce you had with sour mangoes). Some places called nam boo doo or nam koey. You need to put the sauce into the rice and mix it all together like salad. Normally, we have it with hard boiled egg too. Try again next time. Don’t forget to put sauce into the rice too. Bon appetite!
This shop is near my house. Very good taste about khao ka moo and Khao moo daeng. You are wellcome in Pattani. Pattani is a Province in the South of Thailand. You are good job to travel here. Thank you to review our provionce. Thank you very much. I ' m your FC. We not call Malay Street Food But we call Thai Muslim Steet Food. Because we are Thai Peole and live in Thailand not live in Malaysia. Thanks.
"Khao Yam" is a healthy food. Because the vegetables put into Thai herbs Eat and be healthy. no meat There are only vegetables that are beneficial to the body.❤❤❤❤
Seeing you eat Khao Yam Pak Tai, it made my mouth water! I like it very much. For Muslim-Thais in the 3 southern provinces, it's called Nachi Kabu, which Nachi means rice and Kabu means yum. They cook rice with butterfly pea flower juice, so it’s blue and then topped with Budu sauce, roasted coconut, ground dried shrimp, ground roasted dried chili and fresh vegetables. Having a lot of ingredients mostly vegetables and herbs will make you healthy. Oh, it is customary for Muslims to eat with their right hands. But it's better if you pick up food with 3 fingers: thumb, index and middle fingers. Muslims eat like this. Thank you for sharing the warm atmosphere of southern Thailand. I wish you happiness along the way.🥰
For Khao Yum (blue rice salad), you have to mix the components thoroughly with "Budu" sauce. If you want the rich taste you put Budu a lot. It's the must to mix with Budu sauce.
purple rice you eat put many vegetables My way home in Hat Yai He called it "Khao Yam." But in Pattani, I don't know what it's called. But I like you that you help publicize Thailand beautifully. May God keep both of you safe.and happy every day love you 🙏😘🥰
Thai people in the South are able to speak at least 2 languages, Thai, Malayu and some able to speak English very well. Most of the students in Pattani, they usually cross the border to Malaysia to attend the university. They speak Thai with the outsiders, but speak their own language in the area.
Khao Ka Moo- one of my favourites!😋 And the sausage Alicia mentioned is always in our luggage when we fly back home. The blue rice dish is called Khao Yum in Thai btw.(it could be translated rice salad)
Love that you both will try every new dish you see. The mixed meat at the first restaurant looked so delicious. The rice dish looked fresh and healthy. It makes such great viewing. Enjoy every mouthful.😊
The rice dish, you have eaten it totally wrong. This is Khao Yum, a southern dish which you need to mix all the Budu sauce (made from fermented fish) with the rice and all ingredients. The sauce will bring more taste to the bland rice. This way, you will get to taste everything in one bite.
What my brother and I love about you is the willingness to venture into a tiny store, that most people would walk by. You are also aren't the over-the-top like Mark M whose videos seem to be the same over and over... Thank you for being there for us, many of your fans are Thais and we appreciate both of you❤❤ I signed up for the mo they support a week ago but notice that you found a way for your fans to support you on RU-vid now. Do you pay any fee for the one I signed up with VS this one?
Your comment means a lot to us we just keep things humble, we love to do this. We really appreciate you all for supporting us 🙏 have an amazing weekend my friend The only way we pay no fee is paypal friends and family, YT takes like 35% and Kofi 5%
If you have a chance to have Nasi kerabu again, you can asking for fish or shrimp cracker. They usually sale it together with this dish. Break the cracker and put to the rice.
Ellis - sen mhee is vermicelli noodles and they colored it orange. You probably had it in noodle soup in Thailand before, just not colored. I like your dish for breakfast better, looks good. Not a fan of moo dang, too sweet. Are you making a border run to Malaysia??
So glad your channel is on 🔥 I can’t stand these plastic couples traveling the world! I’ll buy you both some beers in Bangkok 🎉 but in the meantime keep on keeping on!
Appreciate it we really do. I can't stand them either its so irritating actually we actually travel and make interesting videos I'd hope then all I see is braindead repetitive content get 5x as many views it's a joke. We'll let you know if we pass through BKK again 🙏 have a top day
