These are not Churros. Made the same, but Doughsticks are dipped, Churros are covered in Cinnamon sugar. If you look up "Spanish Doughstick" you get the ones in the video. Same dip stuff to. You look up Spanish Churros, you get it but with Cinnamon/Sugar/Powdered Sugar.

His churros will be oily it took him 7 minutes frying time which means his oil was very low in heat Spanish churros at 190 degrees they cook in one minute as a proffesional churro maker I can tell you that
In case you don't know , When you deep fry and having to strain the food that is deep fried , it will be oily!!! unless you eat it once it is placed before putting on the strainer. It really doesn't matter by the oil .......

De empezaron a hacer en Madrid y fue un error de elaboración para otro tipo de masa .de ahí su nombre "churro" por que salió algo mal .....para aprovechar la masa resultante se frió en aceite
marikilla g.a soy madrileño, pero diria que la masa es una copia del pan frito chino, por lo que en algun momento, alguien se trajo la receta del pan chino frito, y la trasformo en lo que se llama churro, y las porras no son rellenas "eso es un invento moderno" como he leido en otro comentario, son mas gruesas, sin la capa estriada, vamos que es a misma que los sevillanos le llaman churros.
