If you've ever been in our shop just outside of Dublin Ohio discussing alignments you're likely to have heard something along the lines of "It doesn't matter how much power you make if you can't put it to the pavement ..." that holds true for street cars as well as race cars ... well in this case Street Racing Trucks.
We have the twin turbo small block S10 on our alignment rack today to iron out some front end tracking issues after a SMALL problem showed itself following the local Import Face Off event. With the truck racked up and a chance for some much needed maintenance we decided to roll cameras and use this as a semi educational video as well. If you aren't familiar with this little low key truck it's essentially a home build Street Race truck built in central Ohio and has been tearing up the regional streets and track events for the past few years. Piloted by a near fearless driver who's everlasting theme is "Never Lift" you can look through any of his many videos and see this young man with foot to the firewall wheeling it like a true professional. Whether it's running against the Street Outlaws from OKC, local grudge racing, or regional track events the truck and driver combo have made themselves known and respected around the scene.
In our part,we need to make sure this thing launches straight, tracks true, and allows not only the best traction possible but also the least amount of steering adjustments necessary. After all, the shortest way between the starting line and the finish line is a STRAIGHT line.
We hope you enjoy the video, and maybe even learn a thing or two about alignment setups!
