I'm thinking how crazy it would be if something was seen watching you from behind the trees. As I'm hyper aware of catching something off, I catch this. 5:54 A light. Except it is moving, and in the other lane oncoming.
If you know how your car handles and performs, if you know the route inside and out and you know there will be no one around then all is well and put the foot down and have some fun 🤗
Definitely a tunable run. First the choice in vehicle might not be the best. You can hear how heavy she is in every turn, second you can hold way more speed coming out of corners than your giving the car props for(she may be heavy but she can take more), third shifting could be way optimized like you really need to hit some high rpms to pull the car harder into the corner. She sounds like a v6 or heavily muffled v8 so there a power gain on removing some but not all of the backpreassure and dropping some tire psi could really help you keep traction through the gravel and help push your confidence through those sections. For what's likely a stalk car though it's a good run.
Thank you a very thoughtful comment I appreciate it! It’s a 4x4 suv probably 3500lbs so yeah it’s not meant to do that. I don’t go full speed out of blind turns i need some wiggle room in an emergency don’t forget those roads are public and dangerous, always expect the road to be half way blocked, there are a lot of things that could be in your way. Wildlife, trees, rocks, humans, vehicles…sinkholes. Just some of the things I had. I need to be able to change my path at high speed but that’s not possible if im going as fast the vehicle can handle. The only time I do that is if I actually come across someone that wants to race but then I’m not thinking sober haha. And it’s an automatic so there is not much I can do about the shifts, If I’m going under 70mph I keep it in 3rd and whenever I hit the revlimiter that reminds me to go in 4th 😂 there still are some issues as you can clearly hear but the only way to solve that is to keep the foot glued to the floorboard but I can’t do that as I said too much risk in my experience. Once I thought I had some issues with my cats so I said f it and screwdrivered all 3 and I can tell you they ain’t the issue haha wasted those for nothing. Only thing I found to get faster is to remove my Toolbag before I go, can barely lift that thing. Im thinking about building an electric supercharger setup that bolts on anywhere I want that way I can have boost on demand even if it’s just a little it be sick to have a button like that. And I ain’t touching the tire pressure factory says 26 psi and she’s front heavy so the fronts look permanently low and it is in fact the perfect pressure I found. If I go less it gets really sketchy in high speed cornering on pavement it literally feels like the tire wants to jump it’s own bead scary feeling I tell ya. And if I put more it just starts to understeer so I keep it right at factory specs. And if I drop the rear oversteering gets a lot worse so ain’t touching that either haha. You might get that feeling on gravel because I put it in 4x4 right after hitting the gravel and if I throttle it on those uphill turns it likes to, not understeer but it will try and pull me further out of the corner so I can’t just gas my way through there like in 2wd and it doesn’t seem to have enough power to drift confidently in 4x4 it’s like on and off not the way I like it. But it’s the perfect car because no one bats an eye and nobody can keep up on all of them roads you’ll either be too low or too slow to keep up haha. And I can hit a deer and it will actually polish my bumper, try that in a wrx gti or whatever and find out how totaled you are. And at that speed you bet you’ll hit a deer sooner or later. I avoid 99.9% of them but don’t forget i see 3 a day so I got about 12 months better be driving something deer proof. Same goes for the suspension my buddy jumped across a 12 inch log in one of those at 30 mph and that thing was fine and all the things I did mine oh my god. All of those are still on their original suspension and I’ve never seen any of them fail it’s crazy I don’t want to find out what you gotta do to break em. Most cars are faster then mine but I promise none of them will keep up where I’m gonna lead them to if it comes down to it, at least not In my woods 😁 But yeah on a highway any Honda will beat me and I mean any because 105 is all she wants to do but gets there surprisingly quick, I was doing exactly 100 right in the beginning.
And the real time saver would have been to cross double yellow and cut all of them blind turns you wouldn’t believe how much faster I had been lol but that’s too reckless for me about a 1 in 10 chance I would have found someone to crash into! The way I drive now it won’t be my fault at least cuz they’ll have to be in the wrong lane. But a good way to stay behind someone cause you can see oncoming headlight reflection ahead of time in someone’s door panels and cut every turn tighter then they are and easily keep up with faster cars.
They are so bright, if there was oncoming traffic around the corner or flashlights I would not be able to see them ahead of time. So I turn the high beam off in tight places to make sure there is nobody there. Also I don’t want to accidentally blind anyone, they are really bright.
