LED street lights were never good, sodium and mercury for the win

I agree! High pressure sodium is easier on the eyes and lights up the street better than LED. Plus, LEDs don't last as long as they are supposed to.

There’s a whole video about this on RU-vid explaining the pros and cons of LED and when done right using the right color temperature LED is superior.
