Opinion: I don't really like Winry. I've never liked tsunderes, and she's one of them. But I have more of a problem with her than that. The blatant invasion of privacy combined with victim blaming Ed when he's in the hospital for fighting when: 1. it's his job as an alchemist to be in these situations, and 2. she messed up his repairs, mix all that with her physcially assaulting them with wrenches (and yes, it's more than representative comic relief when she's actually shown doing it in a non-comedic way). I understand why people like her, but I cannot like her the same way. I don't understand how nobody else seems to understand my line of thinking. I think Hawkeye is way better.

@BigFry9591 Personally, I always assumed that Winry's anger in all those scenes wasn't really about the fact Ed broke his automail (at least, not entirely), it's about the fact that he was reckless and got hurt at all. She cares about the brothers a lot, and hates to watch them continuously throw themselves into dangerous situations, and her concern manifests as anger (which she pretends is just about the broken arm) because, like Ed, she's pretty young and has been through a lot -- we can't really expect either of them, or Al, to be entirely emotionally mature at all times. Part of the anger is probably at herself, she has quite a few lines about how she feels useless for not being able to protect the brothers more. Her dynamic with the brothers always feels rly well written and nuanced to me, which makes me rly like her as a character and as a person :D You're totally valid to interpret her differently, I just rly like character analysis and wanted to share my thoughts :3 Sorry for the ramble!
