Love these mesh back new era caps. Especially the low profiles. The low pros don't get enough love. And the fitted new era with a combo of the trucker type hat. Hope they stay around awhile. That blue jays hat looks nice
I liked your white Tigers BP mesh cap so much it prompted me to purchase the NYY cap of that style. The mesh caps are very comfortable and breathe nicely. I’ve only gotten a couple as of this writing, but they’ve both fit me very well. Ideally really. But as we know when it comes to fitted caps not all heads and sizes are created equal. The one I use is made by Bullard, and I bought on Amazon for less than 10 usd. I’ve also got a link in my review for bump cap inserts, called “A Brilliant Tool for Shaping Fitted Caps” thanks.
I thought I left a comment on this video a few days ago in regard to attempting to fix a mesh fitted that arrived damaged from Fanatics. Am I incorrect?
I hope MLB has better on field designs for future trucker caps, if they do make more on field trucker caps. In my opinion, the designs from the Spring Training/batting practice caps suck.
They were not great. However, I thought the graphite grey color scheme on many of the teams had a really sharp look to them - unfortunately, they must not of made many because they sold out immediately.
Have to disagree, I actually wanted to pick up more of these BP caps because of the simplified logos and tonal approach. I find them a great antidote to the hyper saturated color ways in many of the customs on offer the past 18 months or so.
Yeah, those ASG caps were priced way too high, best to wait for their eligibility for discounts now that ASG is passed. I got the BP caps in this video for $31.49 each during 25% off sales.
got a game used version worn by my favorite player but its a size too small. want to try your method but I'm so worried about disfiguring it as it'll be hard to replace!
Is it a mesh back? The whole point of this video was to let people know they could use similar techniques to edit caps without worrying too much about it - so there's not much more I can say, you'll need to make that decision.
@@dreinthe616 yeah it's a mesh one used for BP this season. carefully tried the steam and hat jack method and it worked. mesh isn't as delicate as I thought. wrigley field authentics store luckily had a dozen of them anyways so I picked up another just in case! thanks for the video Doug!
Hi Doug, question for you. So I live in Florida which especially in the summer is a very hot and humid climate. Do the mesh backs help to keep your head cooler then say a regular fifty nine fifty fitted hat? Or will I be sweating just as much? I ask because being as the weather is getting warmer down here I've been considering getting a few of these kinds of hats.
If you are outside/in open air then yes, the ventilation is quite a bit better, as you might expect. But there's still two solid structural panels over your forehead, which can still trap heat. I just added these last year and do wear them often in summer months because of the extra ventilation, thanks.
