What strict rules do Seventeen need to follow due to Pledis and Hybe's policy? Let's find out! Instagram: bit.ly/3NWCjW1 Twitter: bit.ly/3NyjmJS Facebook: bit.ly/3OhuslH #kpop #kpopnews #KOOKIELIT
Knowing they are self made sets them apart from so many groups and makes you respect their hard work and dedication that much more. I’m proud to be a carat, seventeen thank you for all you do and have done ❤
because of Seventeen’s training before and after debut, they are now known as the kings of synchronization, very well mannered, self producing idols, variety kings, unproblematic idols, all rounders and has vocal powerhouse. this is what i only know about seventeen and now to add to that they are ambassadors of UNESCO.
Also, it is important to point out that when fans saw that they were using earphones as earpieces, they tried to give them ear pieces as gifts but Pledis forbade them from giving it as gifts, which created a lot of backlash coz the fans said that they were gifting ear pieces out of love for the boys. Whenever boys are asked about their trainee days, they do answer those questions but also admit that they would not like to remember or live those days again. Listening to these stories makes me feel that it is CRUCIAL at this point to have a union for idols and trainees coz the treatment most of them go through is INHUMANE. Honestly, it is a surprise for me that so many of them remain visibly unscathed from all this harsh treatment.
They're just the most incredibly hard working group, and none of their success has been gifted to them. I'm not surprised about Seungkwan reaching out to variety shows as he really has a talent for entertaining, and Woozi I think started mainly as a dancer and is just incredible as their main writer and producer. I wish them massive success in everything they do because each of them has diverse talents. 💗
Theres a reason why I love Seventeen, its because they did their best. They had a hard time, they used all they had to be the best. They use their talent and made a name for themselves. As far as I know they help eachother and you can tell they love their music and their group
And this isn’t half of what they‘ve been through. Being a Carat for the last 7 years and seeing them grow is crazy. I literally grew up with them and I‘m so happy to see them successful and happy, although they’re so overworked. You‘ll never hear a bad word about them from anyone they’ve worked with, on the contrary it seems like people fall in love with them once they meet. People have said how incredibly nice they are, trying to help out everywhere so no one feels stressed out even if it means they can’t rest, always smiling and being positive, no arrogance or feeling entitled. They‘ve stayed humble and hardworking since the beginning, never forgetting their fans and always showing love to them. Seeing them at the Uneso headquarters a couple of days ago, hearing how they’ve contributed over the years and the way they’re thankful for each member made me so proud! They really deserve every ounce of happiness and success!!
Despite all of the crazy Strict Rules, I am so proud of Seventeen. They overcome all of their differences and struggles together and become the Seventeen we've known today. Like how people say, "I never regret my past, because it made me who I am." I am glad that all of those inhumane rules makes them come stronger than any other groups. And also I've been a Kpop fans since 2nd Gen, and I've stan so many Idols. but once I knew Seventeen, they just made me drop the other and make Seventeen my ultimate Bias. It's just hard to hard to look at others.
their trainee days were super hard. it's well known that pledis training is one of if not the most hard back then. lots of trainee dropped after join only for a day or two. seventeen was planned to debut as 17 members, but the max members they could get was only 16, and after some times it's left with 13 of them only. it's sad how they reveal they basically never do what other teenagers do like field trip or so, because they're locked in that green basement. food also a great concern, they're teenager boys that growing rapidly with big appetite. they got some allowance for their lunch, and because it's not enough, they collect the change so they could buy more, even it's only a triangle kimbab or a bowl of rice. it's kinda miracle in my eyes how they finally debut and endure all of that discomfort, even show their wonderful skills to the fans. they're singing perfectly without earpiece, dance synchronously, funny as hell, always laughing, smiling, and saying thank you to everyone. if you watch their shows back then, you'll never know they eat kimbab for a year straight, cut down their sleep so they can talk and improve their teamwork, while still making their own songs and joining the choreo making. they always grateful, making sure to work hard, and never show any discomfort because they know it could effect other members. they're loved by everyone might be because of this, not even one staff ever talking bad about them since day one. do you know they donate some of their first paycheck they got more than a year later after their debut to buy 13 goats for children in tanzania for celebrating their first anniversary and never for once failed to donate every year until this very year, their 8th anniversary?
Oh! you missed to include that when they make a small mistake during dance practices they have to immediately do 10 push ups. It wasnt highlighted but you can see it in 17 big debut project.
Stanning those 13 precious men was the best decision I've done since last year until now because they setup my expectations so high & I'm so proud of them today. I also think this is the reason why Samuel left & didn't debut with them because of this. I can feel he also endured all the pain he had along with his hyungs ☹️
Pledis also made SEVENTEEN one of the first kpop groups cmiiw not allowed to receive any gifts except for letters and donations to charity.... It was such an explicit rule that not even SM and YG was implementing... 😢
i think some new carat or older carat who forget about this had to watch the content that they sing in front of 300 people, his comedian came to their show and even reveal by himself that he teach seventeen how to do comedy
Svnt work hard on their own and I'm so happy for them them they overcome all the things togather If I was in their place I might give up and join better company which can make me successful immediately but theu stick toagther that's why their bond became so strong now they r doing so better hope they keep going and always give their best
Happy to see Seventeen on your channel 😊. Very few groups debut from a bankrupt agency and still make it big. They have been through so much to be where they are now and they deserve all the success and fame they are enjoying now.❤❤❤❤. Say the name : Seventeen !!!!
I'm an ARMY and I became a CARAT not long ago. I've been watching their performances and videos since their debut days and I really regret not knowing them before. Seriously as a fan I have mad respect for them. Love them and wish they'll become more successful in the future.
One of the reasons why I love them so much they literally came from the bottom all the way to the top. Literally one of the top 3 best K-pop groups in the world. And they are still humble kind and sincere. So very Hardworking talented Good men . U can see how much they love each other and love their fans and actually love what they do. Not just in it for the fame and money. They was at a bankrupt company that was just about to go under.
Yet army claim otherwise ..atleast BTS got promotions meanwhile seventeen still doesn't get those foreign promotion..all company does is produce unnecessary merch..they know fans will buy it no matter what ..HYBE is no better for SEVENTEEN.. they are still doing things cuz CARATs support whatever they do as from company side ,except infrastructure they got nothing
“self-producing idol” title coming to be due to how broke pledis was rlly gives me more respect for the boys. i feel that there’s this different if they went self-producing as a marketing/concept strategy vs self-producing because they would do anything to debut. it shows how much they rlly wanted this and it makes me want to support them even more
Seventeen 💎... I've lot's and lots of respect for them... they're kind hardworking talented. ....and SELF MADE❤ these boys deserves every ounce of success and love❤
They have all worked so hard their entire career, it's so disappointing that pledis, even after not providing and supporting the boys properly, has treated them so horribly and still does. I really hope more companies start treating their idols and trainees better, these idols are literally what puts a roof on the building and dinner on the staffs tables. They deserve so much better.
As a carat, I already know all of these, and even the details behind the facts stated here, but I'm just reminded how much i appreciate these boys... Thanks for making this video... ❤
Seeing just SOME of the things that Seventeen had to go through and how they have taken that and are still here today, makes me love them even more and makes me admire them even more. I also love how even though they have to go with what their agency says and tells them to do, S.Coups has said time and time again that he would put his members before his agency, and I love how close the members are. Their relationship is only something that you can understand when you are a part of that relationship, so us CARATs can only watch with love and adoration. SEVENTEEN and CARAT forever!!
I’m a carat and I been fan for long time and I love seventeen and they are all my favorite groups and seventeen deserves the music and success and everything and they are work hard and do everything what they have done and I’m so happy that seventeen getting more support and music and everything and have the best time in life but im so happy for them and they deserve this
My respect grew for them so much, i didn't knew any shit they went threw i am so proud of them, im so sorry i didn't get to know them from the start 🤧 I LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH ❤❤
I'm a Carat since "My My" era and I didn't know most of these things. Some I heard of from other Carats and the boys themselves. About & Team... They are under HYBE's Japanese label. So the Japanese side must be that ridiculous with their rules.
their hardwork payed off, because today, they’re receiving so much love, praise, support and get huge opportunities. it’s sad that when someone asks them about their past, they never really want to talk about it anymore because of the hardships they’ve went through. what i love about them is that they’re really humble despite being one of the biggest groups in the industry. they don’t flex their popularity or what because they don’t believe there are uppers and lowers. i’m so happy seeing people respect them as individuals and as a whole team. they’re loving and caring boys, i hope more good things come to them. 🩷🩵
For anyone who just a casual listener of svt, this video might really scream 'pledis bad guy'. But we who knew their story a bit more, understand what happen. Yes, we certainly dislike and even condone a few things that pledis made them do. But, you must also understand from the point of pledis themselves. They are bankrupt. Literally. Even you complain about bathroom and dorm, etc, that what the company *can only* afford. Svt is their last straw, if they cant make it, dont even imagine. A coffin might not far away.. Sad... So they really really really have to make such perfect idol as much as they can, hence the absurd "training". They *must* debut. For the sake of people who made svt and svt themselves. What Im really glad is, svt is such a harworking, patient people. And the bond they shared is deep because of those unfortunate situation. You can say all those 'military' training give us unproblematic, lovely idol. Now that they are succesful, they can take more breath. I also think because of their hard first years after debut, lacking promotion, seungkwan going everywhere looking for job, and that...made them cherish all their jobs. They are tiringly busy, yes, but I know deep down they always grateful for it. Bc they know how hard to got those gigs. On the side note, pledis is evil. Yes, we know. Even svt said their company dont have good reputation as a joke. We also know how pledis treat their other artist. But I think, because of the bond the company and svt shared deeply (one selling everything they had, the other doing their best to use of it), pledis always favor svt. Hence you may see their treatment, freedom, was always better than the rest of other artist. Well what can we say? Its the best "I sell my life to make you debut, do your best'' scenario we can see. Lastly, just take it like how we are studying like a cow before s.a.t. Svt also like that to get their debut. We study bloody, we passed the exam with flying colors. Svt also bleeding tears to debut, now they are suceessful and team with talent! Producing, vatiety, comedy, you named it! Ps. Kookielit, you should also mention all the sacrifice and all the favorable things svt get from pledis. Bc I also wanna know. Just saying :)
It was not a joke when whole SVT members told that if they had to talk abt their trainee days then they had to go to a shop and start drinking soju(In na pd’s show) really being carat for 5 yrs I have learnt more abt them…. I just feel really proud no doubt SVT is called as “Self producing idols”…. I happy that they are getting recognition for their talent especially this year’s FML album sales,UNESCO participation, and now GOD OF MUSIC ❤❤❤😊…… Please do stream and listen to GOD of MUSIC (sry if my comment was too long )
These boys worked really hard they deserves the fame like bts does. But despite pledis being strict , pledis also worked hard and trained our boys well. That's why hoshi gets emotional and said pledis is really close to my heart they did so many things for us.
The thing is, Hybe did not exist when they debuted. It was very easy to get hold of dating scandals back then which is why companies put a dating ban on the idols. Hybe has the media security which is why unless an idol messes up big time, it is not gonna come out in the open.
I heard that when they were given milk mingyu drank all of woozi milk . I couldn't stop laughing thinking maybe this is why woozi height never grown 😂😂
All I'm gonna say is, there's a reason Carats booed when SVT mentioned their ceo when accepting an award 😅. Proud of the 13 boys who have grown into incredible young men. They deserve all the love and success! 💎🩷
this isn’t cruel lmfao the company “last hope” was seventeen to help the company get out of debt so they can have higher production for them 🤦♀️ did you even watch the video??they did everything they can, the manager even sold his house to help.
Seventeen had to work so hard for their career the way Pledis treated them is so wrong they’ve brought so much success to them and had to bare with the living conditions and rules Huge respect to Seventeen cuz they’re amazing ❤
That person exaggerated the reason their gift was rejected. It isn't be Hybe's rule to turn away "feminine" things. Many of their male idols have worn "feminine" accessories and clothing and also received those types of gifts with no problem.
I was a fan of NU'EST from debut, so none of this is shocking. Face was a solid debut numbers-wise and Pledis just sucked at capitalizing on that. Everyone suffered for it.
As a carat i agree. Face is one of my fav debut songs in kpop and even their other songs are pretty good. I always wondered why nu'est didnt become huge. But i knew its probably because of pledis 😪😪?
Their situation is much like bts company that's why both group members are very bonded to their own team members and recontract with the company and because of all this ridiculous train, if they all leave the company, they can build their own company and continue their own career...
lots of kpop companies had these strict rules not just pledis with seventeen. the industry back then was super shady (its still shady now of course but some things have improved)
pledis is the most strict when it comes to technical training, this is widely known cause fellow trainees from different companies exchange and compare their experiences and conclude that pledis is the hardest, but when it comes to inhumanity, pledis is also inhumane but there are other companies that are way worse.
Why do artists report to the managers ? What money is made by managers for the agency ? This is so backwards ... In most of the civilized world, managers work for the artists ... NOT the other way around !
lol it's hillarious that most of the "strict rules" are not strange at all in Korean society. Not being able to use dialect is so common, not only in idol industry but in many different places (even among reg work places too). And physical punishments (not saying that it's right) were not seen as problematic until late 2010s. and the fact that seventeen has to live in a small space with 13+ people, like what else could they do? the company did not have enough money to luxuriously treat them, but that's the reality for all trainees. These companies are basically betting on trainees who may or may not quit in the middle of the process. They're not gonna invest 100%, and that's how it is even with the big companies. I'm just glad that seventeen members are now enjoying their lives and have their hardworks paid.
This make me believe that the reason alot of nee generation idols are super tall cuz their companies give them growth hormones, If it can force them to get plastic surgeries, forcing them to take growth hormones wouldn't supprise me
