Yes you read it right, the best dance of the night was when the judges got up and danced. Shirley Ballas was outstanding, you have to see it to believe it. Just Fabulous!
Shirley Ballas has more talent and knowledge in her pinky finger than most dancers today. If anyone wants to argue with her about what good dancing is, they might as well give it up. I first met Shirley in 1986 and have always had tremendous respect for her talent, hard work, and incredible wisdom and teaching ability. She’s a great showman too!
I was watching the first part while reading your comment and I couldn't figure out which one was Shirley. As soon as the second part started, I knew. She's in a league of her own.
Me: Next time I watch the last half of this, I'm going to force myself to focus on what anyone other than Shirley is doing. Every friggin next time: Fails miserably.
she wasnt stopping because of the spin, as a ballroom and latin dancer myself i do it alot, its almost like a choreografical pause. You do it to get back on the correct beat after the spin but it also serves as a spacer to give the piece a little more character and a seductive mood.
