I just watched this episode, and at first I didn't know why I found this scene so immersive. My brain was like _"this shit just got real"_ and I didn't realise for a minute or two that it was because it was all one take. Really well done..
I miss JohnPorter, DamienScott and MikeStonebridge!! Actually I miss all the old team Col.Grant, when Kate got blown up I was emotionally hooked to this show!
Novin it's a great acquisition, Wyatt and McAllister are great too, they could do episodes, with all 4 guys and Novin. The speeches are great and allined with the way people in SF usually talk, nicely done
Stonebridge in particularly has absolutely fucking immaculate weapon handling. That said, although it's largely contextual you don't see them C-clamp very often which always irked me a little bit. They've been blending in a lot of centre-axis-relock since season 4 too and not going to lie it does look fucking sexy. One of the coolest little bits in this is her using the sling to mitigate recoil without a stock. We've seen this transition in the last 20 years of tv and cinema where actors will actually use their stocks, sights and adopt correct posturing but still tend to see that when stockless weapons enter the picture they just get used from the hip and we drift back to old cinema. Strike Back is so well consulted it's one of the few shows/films you see where stockless long arms are actually handled intuitively. Is it all perfect? Nah bits are exaggerated for flair but the handling in Strike Back is honestly probably the highest quality in any show or movie at present.
@@CoffeeFiend1 I agree. I am not a fan of this team, but holly shit, the actors did insanely well in this long shot. From reloading, to coms, to the handling.
Hands down one of my favorite scenes of any show or movie. I wish they didnt cancel this show. I doubt there will be another Military and Intelligence based action show as quality as this one. Great directing, writing and training consultants all top notch.
absolute crap compared to first 5 seasons, story line not believable, episode 8 she has no money, no resources but has hundreds of armed gunmen working for her. load of crap.
What's with all the negativity. Yeah Scott and Stonebridge were good but this team are even better. Novin is my favourite of all time. All these negative whingers who haven't even watched a full episode just commenting. Getting sad at this point. Last 3 seasons, all with this team, by far the best 3 seasons of Strike Back. Last and final season 8 was amazing. Great ending.
I can't call this team even better. In that scene, where was Scott and Stonebridge, that girl said to them "fuck you" and "i wasn't asking, dickhead". It felt so forced and childlish, when Scott and Stonebridge, had funny quotes without any annoying vulgarism. Mainly in that scene you can see that their chemistry is just on another level. I am planning to try out new series, cause Wyatt looks like Tom Hardy a lot, but i don't like anyone else in that cast. I also love, how Stonebridge was holding his gun, in any situation. It was also fun, to saw some conflicts between Damien and Michael, they had also much more charisma than anyone in those teams. Hell, i even wish that we can see that mercenary duo from season 5, than this group. The way, how Stonebridge talks and his movements....god damn it, i miss it so much.
the worst series ever. Boss could kill the main characters with guns, but they threw them into the sea and gave them a chance to survive. an absurdity and comedy. and main characters always can go into enemies easily. Jane always survives without hide and cover up. she is GOD.
Love it, we can see that's a lot of work from co-operative, in tactical movement, that last moment when they run away from grenade and Wyatt during the run, changes magazine it's superb
"I miss this show so very much they should bring back this show someday"? I can't tell you enough just how much I enjoy and loved this show, and loved the news show and the old one to!!
Totally confused by what season Cinemax, Sky is calling what is which. Season 7 is the Season 8 in the UK? So when they issue the press release, which season is which in the February 27, 2019 press release? In summary, will there be a new season in 2020?
Not quite sure what you mean by the first part but there are only 7 seasons of Strike Back that have aired thus far, for all countries. Cinemax took over after the first season, and that season was later re-aired as 'Origins' if that is what you mean. But that press release stated that Strike Back was renewed for a 8th and final season.
What bugs me is that people actually spent more time shitting on this cast and not appreciating the good stuff they were doing on the show. Everywhere I look, people were like ‘Bring back Scott and Stonebridge, this group sucks’ like a bunch of whining muppets. I just finished watching this whole show, and my god, I loved this group as much as I loved Scott and Stonebridge. Yeah, Wyatt was an arsehole at times but by the end of Vendetta, I still wanted more of this team. Maybe one day we’ll get more in the form of a movie or a second revival, but for now, I’m gonna miss the adventures of Section 20 and their struggles to not blow anything up 😌
The problem is, that Scott And Stone era, they were actually firing their weapons, with blanks and the post-production effects were not that bad. This one take is amazing, but the CGI shots are really cheap compared to the older series. It is really shame, you know? It takes away a lot from the intensity.
@@adamburke4738 I found these arguments valid. It looks like the weapons does not have recoil and other stuff. And it just looks much better with practical effects, than CGI shots, but hey, that is my opinion. Like i said, this one take is still phenomenal, with coms and the movement.
True..a lot of work from the "specialist's" and a lot of effort by her. Like the Zarkova lines too ;) I'm waiting for next season (please don't end it)
