It's always crazy watching Diaz fights because it almost looks like he's just tapping the other guy lightly on the head most of the time. Yet you see the damage accumulate over time as you watch his opponent become more gassed and concussed. Such a unique way to fight.

The fight with Marius Žaromskis really surprised me. Zaromskis was absolutely demolishing everyone at the time & was on a decent run. Diaz destroyed that dude like he was nothing. Paul Daley too!

He's hitting with precision and power, it doesn't take speed, he's bobbing and dodging snaking his opponent into position, it's a sick way to fight tbh, most people are going for knockouts he wants to gas you and whoop you later

Nick’s boxing is really something else. The way he flows his combos may look unorthodox to the untrained eye, but his boxing is pretty high level. Especially in MMA.

i would have liked to see him in boxing, of all the mma guys i think this style works. he's just so on you with little taps, and if you get comfortable then comes the bomb. followed by another 20 little taps. you just gotta fight this guy or it's never gonna stop.

@vinceventura4453 2 года назад
Lol if you know how to remotely roll with a shot no you shouldn’t be getting slept by an teenager if they have no background in striking at all . The chin is an expression too bud you wanna land on the jaw line , you want to cause the head to snap as far as you can get it to in one direction that’s why you step off at angles constantly when you’re fighting, if you aim for the front of the chin all somebody has to start doing is bull guard and start taking shots ontop of the forehead

I liked it best when he literally trolled silva. (not to be confused with belligerent or disrespectful) The literal sense of trolling, not the modern adaptation. Laying down and looking at him like cmon...oh man that was a comedy sketch few people fully recognized. Gsp nor silva put themselves in a position to lose to nick, they were scared to a point. I hated watching gsp and silva defend their rank with jabs, usman did it too. Nick was the guy to win those fights, neither of them would risk Even a dominant inch to play into his comedy styling. Usman gsp and silva were MONSTERS but when they stopped taking risks I started to hate them.

If anyone's sparred before or even seen any competitive striking matches of any kind know, those soft looking punches don't feel soft whatsoever, especially with MMA sanctioned gloves. Scott Smith's face would be so swollen and battered they/he couldn't be allowed to continue into 2nd and if he made it to the second he wouldn't have made it far throughout the round. Nick's style of boxing for street or MMA is nothing to play around with. I said it a second ago but I wouldn't be surprised if there was something in their contract that made them unable to protect their face. Every round nick bleeds from the face, he gets an extra 1000$ type thing.he wad a fucking artist in his work, nick; I just never believe he'd ever be champion in ufc because they would bring in a guy from fucking Russia to Come knock nick out.if he started protecting his face he would've gone miles further...but he didn't and for whatever reason I hope it's worth it. If you caught nick in a respected environment I'd imagine he'd be someone to look up to, unfortunately he got used up pretty good.

It always looks like Diaz is fighting in slow motion! Love him! He’s the type that starts in a street fight and your like what the fuck is this dude doing, and then lays the other guy out quick! 😅

@John Smith Yes totally. Thing was, in this fight, it was the body shots that had him laid out in the end. Scott's chin was a secondary factor. As well, people say Nick was slow, but regardless the shear volume and accuracy, plus going for large amounts of heavy body shots. Combined with the grappling and endurance, plus, talk about a chin. Man, Nick was the main fighter that got me into MMA.

Happen in St. Louis Mo.. This was still when most people disliked Diaz, said he was bad for the sport yada yada yada.. I was born in Stockton so I was a Diaz fan from day 1. I was at this fight live, and I remember people in my section were against Diaz at the start of the night. I was talking him up all night, talking about his combos and cardio, and how he can do it ALL DAY.. By the time he came out and started fighting, I had everyone around me rooting for Diaz, and man did he deliver! I was actually the one starting the Diaz chants, everyone around me started joining in... What an awesome night this was!
