STRIKERS VS HEARTBREAKER! TU22 PTS  

So at one point, heartbreaker out perfromed strikers. Strikers gets buffed to become new dps king while heartbreaker has survivability and some dps. And now they want to go back to heartbreaker having dps advantage again. Yeah this doesn't make a lot of sense.

One minor downside for HB is needing to give up a skill for pulse or use one of the subset of weapons that take the LLP (and having to use the Tech spec to get it).

Hi bud. There is something i don’t understand in your calculations : - heartbreaker does now with the chest 130% amp + vigilance 25% = 155% amp - striker does 85% + obliterate 17% = 102% amp So don’t you think that it's normal to see a big difference between the 2 builds ? My point is that you push the heartbreaker at its max potential but you don’t do it on the striker. Try the same calculations but with the striker chest instead. I know that it's going to be 200 stacks instead of 100 but at least, the 2 builds will be compared at their max potential.

In this HB build you are using a backpack with vigilance and the HB chest provides the sustain to remain with the vigilance active. In my opinion, it is an unfair test in the same way as if you tested a Striker composition with the chest versus this HB build.

It’s not that you “told them it was 1.0” they probably wanted it that way hoping nobody would notice so that they’d be less mad about the nerfs. Anyways, really excited to dump a lot of resources and time into HB so that it can be nerfed next season.

The reason why there was a bigger disparity is most likely because, 'practically speaking', you chose an optimal setup for Heartbreaker and a subpar setup with Striker. Looking at the chest, pack, and gear set, the main bonuses, Heartbreaker starts at a 2.3 multiplier with the chest and gets a multiplicative 1.25 with vigilance, giving 2.875. Whereas, Striker has 1.85 backpack × 1.17 with obliterate, giving a start of 2.1645 and 2.489 with the RPM buff, which is quite lower. Simply put, the striker pack cannot compare to the HB chest; that is like comparing the current pack to the Striker Chest. Also, factoring the RPM buff if you haven't as that is one of the biggest advantages Striker has over Heartbreaker, allowing it to deal 15% more damage in the same period of time it otherwise wouldn't have. The data shows HB has a higher floor, but Striker has the higher ceiling.

Speaking of striker. What I still wonder is, does it still function as amplified.
