love your explanation the Shannon fabric website tutorial was just crazy and my kit did not come with the stitch and flip handout OR the "enclosed Binding with Cuddle" handout... thanks so much I feel confident to get started now

Cute blanket! After I cut my minky pieces I throw them in the dryer on low for a few seconds and it removes all the fuzzy pieces before I start sewing, then I make sure I clean the screen in my dryer.

I add a wet washcloth too and either use very low heat or air cycle. It also helps prevent the edges from rolling up.
