2:54 my son ran inside couple weeks ago saying he saw Heavy D chopper. I could hear it and could tell it was a UH60 but I told him “naw he lives on the other side of the country”. Well I can see the hill top portion I own in the video. So now I guess I have to tell my boy he was right.

I love that you are putting the OLD Venezuelan flag before the Chavez era with 7 stars. Crazy Chavez added an 8th one to represent the Province of Guayana. Venezuela continues to dispute half of current Guyana as their territory despite TWICE being denied by the international court in the Hague. To most of us older Venezuelan, it was just a political move to rally support for his 'Bolivarian revolution'. He's dead, but the movement he started continues to dominate the country's politics. Maybe one day not too far in the future we'll see democracy return to Venezuela. I love your videos, man. The Indy800 event was a blast.

I saw Sam at the post office the other day and what an amazing, polite, just awesome man. Hes definitely right about one thing.. if it has an engine, cleetus can drive it or fly it.

I live in Arkansas and that guy is by far the most polite aircraft bodyman I've ever seen.

dude cleetus i just wanted to say thank you. i was in a headon car crash on april 5 and broke my spine away from my pelvis and had to get 4in screws in my spine to hold my shit together. but i just wanted to say i love what you do. watching your channel helped me get through a month of bein bed ridin. i live north of pittsburgh pa so cant wait till im better cause im makin a road trip to the "factory freedom" LMAO! sry i loved that. hell yea brother!! keep on keepin on!

I think my favorite part about Cleetus Aviation is how safe he is about it. We know he's "safe" with the car stuff, but seeing him actual full tilt serious about something is cool.

Man it's nice having a aviation place take care of you like that. They really know their shit.

Old airframes collect paint like we used to collect stickers back in the 90's. There's a heliport near my brother's farm, it's half local work, half medical for the region, but they also have a great facility to work and repair helis. The local record is 14 layers of paint, with the airframe having never been stripped since the early 80's. Just kept on pilling paint on until it started popping one day and the owner had it. Local heli, used to spray stuff with, badly corroded on the bottom area. When i was a kid, that heli lost a skid once, found it the neighbor's field and the pilot had to land on an empty barrel, half and half. It is what it is with some owners who don't do it right or are trying to shoestring their repairs. Which... ultimately hurts the thing, i mean, that's kilos otherwise used in a different place.

One thing I really respect about Garret as a leader is that he lets people do things their way. What I mean by that is that he pays respect to the experts that he's using and doesn't try to micro manage them from what I've seen. its how I've always operated in my business interactions and it works really well. great way to build a strong team that's confident and can make decisions independently.

Slight correction, you were in South Carolina when stopping at Donaldson. Fun fact, Lockheed and General Electric have facilities there where C-130's & P-3 Orions have maintenance and refits done as well as a small F-16 production line.

I did work experience at an airfield as a high school student ~25 years ago and have a little bit of experience with that paint stripper - it it a gelatinous formulation that you paint on with a brush and leave to sit for about an hour and the paint turns to mush. We sprayed it off with a pressure cleaner (whilst wearing a full-body protective suit) and blew the airframe down with shop air and a couple of hot air blowers (like a leaf blower but with a big heating element so the air coming out was like 200 degrees celcius), then prepsol'd it immediately. I still have a scar on my finger and my knee from touching the stripper, it starts burning IMMEDIATELY and it burns deep and fast. In the time it took for me to feel the pain, then run over to the emergency shower and rinse it off it had burned down far enough that I lost two layers of skin and got some of those lumpy bumpy scars.

We know it's been said soo many times BUT,, I continue to be so impressed with Garrett Mitchell's intelligence. Flying all the aircraft he flies,, it AIN'T EASY and it takes a crazy number of skills. Put a stick or a wheel in his hands and he can DRIVE or FLY IT!! Now that he has a private airstrip the sky's the limit for what's he'll be making content with in the future.
