Trying out a new to me camera a panasonic DMC-ZS40 with auto focus it is working very well focusing from several feet down to a very close macro distance with no problems the video quality is much improved so during these last 3 videos this camera has been tested. The plan is to make a 4 element Cubical quad antenna for 6 meters when warmer weather arrives obtaining the parts and preparing them for assembly is the order of the day .... It is presently 14 degrees F today 2-18-2022 and we have several inches of snow and when it is warmer weather a short tower will be put up for this antenna and also will serve as a center support for dipoles for HF operation so I am waiting for Spring and warm weather. This video shows how to remove easily the very tough high temperature enamel from enamelled copper wire used for winding electric motors I want to strip these back at least 6 inches to allow for tuning of the elements for best operation . The 4 pieces of #14 enamelled copper wire should be cut to the proper lengthplus a little extra and stripped about 6 inches for making the Quad elements . I thought of burning off the enamel using my propane torch and tried it this worked so good I decided to make a very short "BobsTips" video. This method worked very good and was quick and easy with the # 14 wire . Most likely it will not work
on very thin enamelled wire you could however try using a small cigarette lighter or even a match for very small wire to remove the enamel but try some small pieces first for practice ... please note I have not tried to do small wire stripping this way .
