Kitakata is known for ramen, but Yamato is famous for soba.
Due to the high altitude and unsuitable for rice cultivation, people in this area have been eating buckwheat noodles for a long time.
The Ichinoki area is located in the northern part of Yamato-cho, and is a very quiet village by the river.
