The STRONGBACK GURU (smaller) CAMP CHAIR | Product Review | Heavy Duty Folding Camp Chair with Built-In Lumbar Support - Designed for shorter people
The latest chair in the Strongback lineup, the GURU was specifically designed for people of a shorter build. Hands-down Strongback makes the most comfortable and supportive camp chairs we've ever sat in and this new, smaller size GURU chair is ideal for people of a shorter build. In this week's video, Julie from RVLove shares the features, pros & cons of the Strongback GURU chair, how it compares to the larger Strongback Elite chair (as reviewed by Marc) and why it's such a great product for RVers, campers or anyone who enjoys the comfort, support and health benefits of a quality chair.

The Strongback Folding Camp Chairs with Lumbar Support are among our fave items for our RV life and the new Strongback GURU chair is smaller and a much better fit for Julie. We love that it's portable enough to carry to neighbor's campsites or throw in the car for picnics or visiting friends. What makes Strongback different to other camp chairs is the steel frame with in-built lumbar support. The GURU has heavy duty fabric, with soft, flexible arms and two integrated beverage holders. We love how supportive and comfortable the Strongback Chair is - even when sitting for extended periods of time.
Features:
* Unique, patented lumbar supportive design better aligns your body posture, easing neck tension, back support
* Ergonomic seat designed to align hips and back for maximum comfort, support and relaxation
* Two beverage holders integrated into fabric arm rests
* Easy to use and light weight, the perfect portable chair for camping, travel, picnics, beach trips, sports, concert events and other outdoor activities
* Back-pack style carry case with double straps for transportation
* Features heavy duty, durable construction with powder coated steel frame and 600D tear and wear resistant polyester fabric
* Rated to 300lb weight capacity
* Dimensions: 19.5” (Seat W) x 27” (D) x 34” (H), 10.5 lb
Many regular camp chairs cause you to slouch, squeezing spinal discs together and creating unhealthy pressure, so investing in a quality, supportive Strongback camp chair will promote good back health and allow hours of comfortable sitting.

Used my Elite yesterday at all day outdoor concert. Unbelievable comfort as I sat on it throughout the 7 hrs + event. My wife now is a believer and I'm glad for your review of the Guru because she is 5'1" and it will be perfect for her. Well worth the investment, my wife told me to throw away all the other sub-par chairs that we have, buy it you won't regret it! Thanks again for review.

Glad you enjoyed the review and are now Strongback converts too! You remember the comfort far longer than the initial sting on the credit card bill! Hope you enjoy yours for many years to come - your wife will love the Guru (as I, Julie do) a much better fit.

Tried to purchase this July 2021 - not in stock on Strongback's website and Amazon is charging twice the price of this 2018 video. Yikes! Will add to my wishlist. Maybe in the winter price will come down.

I am 4'11" so I appreciate reviews that include height issues. Thanks! I would love to see bicycle and kayak reviews for shorties if you have time.

I’m 6’2” 235 pounds but like that small one. I try it out. We’ve bought so many junk chairs over the years! Ready for a good one!

I agree.. the smaller chair is really nice for me too. I like both. Great to have similar feedback from somebody much taller and larger framed than me (Marc) too. Thank you.

Thanks for the review. I’m 5’4” and have a lot of issues trying to find a chair where my feet aren’t dangling.

Great review. Did you try carrying it upside down? Straps are closer at the top :-)

Interesting suggestion. You might be onto something. My first thought was that it might hit me in the head or fall out of the bag, but I gave it a try and it is actually a pretty good solution. Still fairly comfortable, and does not hit the back of my legs near as much. Thank you for the suggestion!

Both this and the Elite reviews are fabulous thanks so much. Having a heck of a time trying to figure out which chair to get for myself. Most of the chairs in my house: dining room chairs, Kitchen chairs etc, are 19" deep and the seat height is 18" or 19" off the ground. Now I'm about 5'" tall and fit in all of my chairs, with feet flat on the floor. Now, I'm about 10 lbs overweight so I'm not that big. So it seems like, except for the the width of the Elite, I could fit into either the Elite or Guru...See my dilemma, or am I making this too hard? Any suggestions?

Glad you liked the review, apologies for the delayed response. Julie is 4'8" and the Guru is definitely better or her feet dangle. Marc is 5'8" and can fit comfortably in either. If you are 5' I would go for the Guru.

Julie ... Just ordered two... one Elite for me (6' 0") and one Guru for my wife (4'11"). If we don't like them we know where to find you in October ... :-) ... Just joking. Safe travels.

With you not adding your thoughts to the Elite review leads me to believe these are paid reviews. Glad we didn't buy any as my wife is 5'1".

Thanks for your feedback. No, these are not paid reviews. Julie did mention that the Elite chair didn't fit her as well as she hoped. But I, Marc love the chair so much, and have been so happy with my purchase (yes I bought the chair) I wanted to do the review on my thoughts on it. Hope you have an opportunity to sit in one someday. Once you do, you will likely want one, as nearly every person that tries it does.
