This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. The story from a young woman diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy and her determination to lead life to it's fullest.
Diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy at age 12, Brynn McLennan was told she would be reliant on an electric wheelchair for mobility. Through the guidance of her caring mother, Brynn sought alternative treatments to prevent this from occurring. Though she still requires a wheelchair from time to time, it is more for stability and posture. With the assistance of stem cell treatments, Brynn has seen incredible benefits- not only within her own body, but with other patients at the clinic she travels to in California. The treatments she receives are yet to be approved in Canada.
