Hey.. I’ve had my 73 kombi for 15 or more years. I’ve driven it once. Time flys. I’ve lost the will to finish it & regained it so many times. Been married, moved houses, raised kids, built a business, been divorced, sold a business …Spent a fortune on it, been ripped off, paid twice and nearly sold it that many times. But tonight I discovered your channel. And I think it’s time I pulled the cover off the old girl just one more time. Thanks for the inspiration. Subscribed.

I’m having the opposite issue while trapped in the hot urban jungle of Los Angeles. Well over 90°F everyday. I can’t decide if it’s easier cooling off or trying to warm up. Keep on keeping on Ben and Tamara. 🌿

I got stranded once for a long time 28 days I thought I was Bad Ass. I got sick, weak, tired and a Bad case of diarrhea for 8 days 3 times. I sent a SOS 20 times finally the SOS was picked up and they came in a Helicopter and I crapped all over it threw up. I lost 40 lbs and was in the hospital 6 weeks. It was a mess. French Vanella Capuchinos were the only thing that brought me back. Long Story it was Alaska. what a mess.

I know y'all are out already, but even with such extreme cold temps, airflow is important, increasing author would reduce the moisture which would've reduced the frozen windows, and been more comfortable, even if the actual inside temp was lower. Been watching since the S.A. days, been enjoying the new episodes!

Guys I’m full time. Back in the 80’s I had a 1973 very similar to yours. My new build has enough LPG STRAPPED under for 3 months. 500 ltrs. Water for 2 weeks, shower everyday. 500 watts solar 300 amp hour Lifepo., BUT ,I live in a 8 ton truck, with 2 fridge/ freezers huge shower and even a hand held Bali bum gun aka Bum shower. Why Ben ,at your age do you enjoy suffering so much? Not to mention a Queen size box spring mattress, surf racks on top for 2 ,10 foot longboards/sups. 4 mid lengths under the sofa. A 110 pound Blue nose pit bull, that, when barks ,would put the fear of god in just about anyone. On demand Bosh water heater. I would understand if you were in the tropics, but you 2 are not……. Time for an upgrade my pedigree chum.

Is this not a consequence of Brexit! I tried buying Classic-Fab panels from the agent in Spain a couple of years ago and he tried several times but UK wouldn't accept the parcel due to customs paper work. He gave me a refund, and eventually I got the parts from Colombia! I kid you not! That's Brexit. Keep warm!

Nice polished episode!! I am feeling better just watching you guys scrape ice off the windows. (it is 114 degrees here today) All our door handles have cozys on them to avoid burns. Did you ever take the old steering box apart to see what was the problem? Keep warm and say hi to alaska for me.

Think it depends on how you do van life. It can be expensive if you’re paying to stay in campsites and your vehicle guzzles petrol (like ours) but we make up for it by finding beautiful and remote places to stay 🤩
