Strut Tower Brace Overview: 2016-2024 Camaro SS 

I had one of these on my 2015 V6 Camaro, and I didn't really notice much of a difference in steering response or chassis stiffness, the car already had lowering springs and aftermarket dampers and that made a more noticeable improvement than the brace did, but I imagine on the SS you'd feel a bit more of a difference due to the LS/LT weighing the front down a bit more. I had a BMW Z3 after that camaro and that car definitely benefited from the strut brace being a convertible. The newer Camaro chassis are much stiffer in comparison so maybe thats why I didnt notice a huge difference on the 5th gen.

I'd install one if I was going to track my camaro. I'd leave it unpainted.

+lethal regardless of what it gains you on the track I think it really makes everything pop under the hood, especially if your gonna paint it matt.

I always feel like I notice it just making turns around town, but it's probably just a placebo effect. Oh yeah, it's definitely working! LOL

This also adds safety to the car. The car will be better in an accident. I'm saying the damage difference will be drastic, but it will help.

definitely looks good. Every LS engine should have a seatbelt haha. Paint the ends white and the middle black? I like the GM one. The BMR is a bit large for my vehicle at least.

Will This fit the 4cyl camaro LT?

I installed mine long ago, I can feel the difference in hard cornering and it's very surprisingly light in weight. I like it... I had to adjust the catch can though.

"To flex or not to flex is the question...." I've read pro's and con's the strut tower brace as you probably have Matt on, does it actual benefit the chassis/suspension. This would have to be answered by a suspension engineer. From what I have read, the Gen6 Camaro Alpha platform is so rigid that these components are needed, but I don't know. I kinda think of the analogy of the solid axle vs IRS handling aspect discussion to the handling of the front of the car. The thing to find out is, how do you really measure the benefit of a strut tower race on a specific chassis setup? Being on the Gen5 side, the Zl1, 1LE and Z/28(?) came with them, so I would venture to say that GM measured the benefit's for them being on those specific Gen5 platforms. The new '17 1LE and ZL1 doesn't have one, so did GM see no need for it? For the cost, it's a very plausible upgrade.

How do you access your catch can top Allen screws with the tower over top of it? Having tower installed, but thinking I should put the catch can in first, but not sure how to access catch can lid once tower is installed. Hopefully don't have to remove tower every time I want to empty catch can... suggestions?

I have one on my 4th gen Trans Am. I can feel the difference on cornering. Good thing to have.

Was waiting to see a product review and install before I buy one for my 2016 SS I had one installed in my GEN5 Camaro RS, after install interior creeks and cracking noise on tight and bumping roads went away. Always though that GM should have made the part standard. No creeks on the 2016, but I figure it will just make the car perform better. Thanks for the info..
