Awesome as always... Paid $5,000 for tuition this semester, but from next semester, I won't be paying, cos I get a full waiver as a GRA. Rent: $460 (utilities included). Food: $150-$200 so far. Weekend Waka: $50-$100 per week (On to say, I am trying to socialize, but sometimes I don't spend this) Phone Bills: $105 for 6months. (Mint Mobile for life..lol). Health Insurance: $300 or thereabout for a semester (I am sure this covers nothing, the key is to stay healthy) Train Pass: $61/Month (Discounted as per student level, but you have to pay a month in advance) That's about it... Income: $500/Month (Before taxes). Had to mention that so people would know that, you literally need some money from home to survive here. Don't come with the mentality that you will find a job and "survive". Also, I am surprised as to how much you pay for rent, Aladi. And I also get free ride to church as well, and sometimes free food in church. The Lord is good! PS: I am thinking of starting a channel as well oo. But I worry about consistency! Congrats on the 1k subscriber.

Thank you for taking out time to contribute to this topic! I appreciate it. My house rent is that way because Rapid City is not too expensive to live in. Yes! Tell them!!! Some people tend to think that you can literally survive here without any money from home. Start the RU-vid channel and I will gladly subscribe. You can worry about consistency later. 😁 I know it’s not that easy. I hope you got my shout out!! 🙂

Your comment about is on point. The thing is most cattle in the US are fed corn. And other non grass feed. I can actually smell the corn i the beef. To make the beef somewhat palatable. Marinade it for at leaset 24hrs. I sugest using onion, maggi salt,ginger garlic, time and curry in the marinade.

Woooww.... your housing is quite on the low side, I wish I could get the same, it is not the same thing here in FL. I disciplined myself to 'hate' beef (the last I bought was $15...smallest pack in the store)......I practically 'love' chicken now....lol. You're really being realistic. Kudos on this good job sis.

Eventually you'd need to by a cheap car off craigslist. Car is pretty much a necessity in smaller cities. If you decide a get a car stick with Toyota maybe Honda. Don't get anything else unless you have money for repairs.

If you survive on $70 dollars a month for food you must be a magician. I think most Americans spend more than that per week. If you have a teenage boy that is still growing you will spend more than $ 100 week to feed him. And don't forget coffee. Americans love coffee and will pay whatever it costs to get it. I pay about $5 a day for coffee.

Maybe I spend that because I don’t have a lot of options when it comes to food. There are no African stores here. I plan to make a video in future explaining how I spend that amount.

Congratulations on 1k Really I'm shocked 350$ for housing is cheap.. That's like Ukrainian price for housing. I know of a friend who is living in a shared apartment in L.A. and he pays 1200$ per month😢 Btw transport in Europe is basically free for students so I was thinking it will be the Same in the U.S.

Thank you for being part of the 1K Family! ❤️ The cost of living really depends on the city. Los Angeles is on another level lol. Rapid City is not an expensive place to live in. My advice, while searching for schools, always try to consider the cost of living in that particular city. My dear, I haven’t seen free transportation here yet lol. Enjoy your stay in Europe while it lasts 🙂 and do come to The USA soon! I will be expecting your arrival. #REUNIONthings💃🏾
