Organised by the South China Morning Post, solely sponsored by the Hong Kong Jockey Club, and supported by the Education Bureau, the #StudentoftheYear Awards is Hong Kong’s most prestigious secondary school event of the year. As such, the awards attracted entries from schools across the city, and the overall standard was once again impressively high.
This year, the theme of the awards is centred on #EmpoweringCollectiveImpact - a notion that speaks to the profound importance of fostering a strong sense of community, as well as the critical role of the collective in empowering those around us to achieve success. For while these awards commemorate the individual, we must not forget that interconnectedness and collaboration underpins true progress. The theme serves as a key reminder that our collective efforts have the power to drive meaningful change, and make a lasting impact on our communities and beyond.
