CNN's Alisyn Camerota talks to two sisters who were exchanging messages while one was trapped in the Parkland high school during the time of a mass shooting.
trappy expecting more is the only thing that will change anything. Accepting that this is just what they do is the same as saying it’s ok, and it isn’t.
@@whyareyoureadingthisgrace95 so you're saying that it's her job to ask such ridiculous questions like "how were YOU able to walk out alive?" is that a reasonable question? whether the producers liked it or not, she shouldn't have asked that question.
Shernah Ricketts She’s doing her just? She’s an emotionless, robot without an ounce of sympathy or compassion. She’s unnecessarily repeating the same question to evoke an emotional response from a traumatized young girl who’s still in shock and it’s appalling.
queen bee Get a clue? Lol There is a way to remain calm and professional while still showing care and compassion. She just comes across as very cold and detached.
I have PTSD because damn stupid drivers. I've almost gone down into a ditch, been hit by to cars at same time, and almost got ran over trying to save my dog. In case no one noticed, the world is fucked edit: 2 cars same time and more. My body has to clench until I almost can't move. It's hard to scare me btw
Clout Wolf none of this is fake i’ve seen the videos of people getting shot and all the dead bodies my friend goes to that schools it’s not fake why are so many people assuming things like oml
John Peel don’t say that. that’s rude. the shooting was obviously real and those girls might have dealt with the trauma differently. they might’ve cried all night and just lost their tears. so don’t say that crap cause it’s not fake
@@johnpeel6088 What? This statement is just idiotic.. Are u saying the shooting is fake or the kid's reactions?? Try being in a situation like this and see how you'd act after the fact
These questions are a little harsh. This girl and her sister just went through the toughest and scariest moments of their entire lives. I understand that they knew what they were getting into doing this interview, but the questions are a little insensitive.
We did a school walkout last year for all the students who lost their lives. From that moment I knew that even the most immature kids at my school knew this wasn’t something to joke about.
At least your school knows how to react. My school did a walkout too, but half the kids who went only wanted to go so they could get out of class. Im dead serious, there were kids laughing during the 17 minute moment of silence we had. It was sickening and some of the kids who actually went for the students that got shot started yelling at people who weren’t taking it seriously.
I wasn’t that far away from Parkland FL so we went on lockdown. At the time my classroom was in a trailer and so was my brother’s (we didn’t know why we were on lockdown but we assumed it was a shooter by the way our principal was crying) and there was a chance that either we were first or we were last. I remember crying because my mom was a teacher at my school and her classroom and in the very first hallway and my brother’s trailer was one of the first ones. I also cried think what would my dad do, if all three of us were killed. The entire class was crying, and hoping that we would see the police officers pass by the road that led to our school. The lockdown ended at about 3:45 pm and that’s when we figured out why we were really on lockdown. We were so thankful that it wasn’t a real shooter and that it was just because we were close to Parkland but at the same time we were all grieving for the people that had passed that horrible day. Edit: The reason we assumed it was a shooting was because since we were in trailers that were pretty far from the building we weren’t sure if we’d hear the gunshots
3:45 why would you f *cking ask an obvious question like that? I appreciate journalism but am so annoyed when they cross the "let's just get a tearful response for views" line
HumorBagel evn I ws shocked God this journalist look so elder and how can be such an ediot asking such young girl who has gone through that what if she had gone through that and some one asked her same question I think she should be taught basic humanity first such an ediot
Riely Davis country yeah some of these are some of these I got to have anxiety for a couple days many governments have participated in false flags and I have admitted to it under oath informal settings and they have all been done to trigger off some sort of event or policies that are very difficult to put into place Hitler did the same thing he created and fabricated a shootout and then he said you see everybody will be safer if we just get rid of the guns that's what they did they got rid of the guns and then shit hit the fan from then on there's a lady in old lady on RU-vid who talks about this she says it's being recreated right now I think the title is old lady tells Americans not to give up their guns
That's what they want to pray on peopl's emotioons so you don't focus on their true purposes and side with them so you won't have the right to protect yourself or loved ones should the need arise, wake up people,Why should only law enforcement be the only ones allowed to protect their loved ones? Remember, interviews are SCRIPTED,Those questions are plotted out and the pperson being interviewed have a strict script to follow, GUN CONTROL,BUT...first they must control your mmid beforre they can control your guns and because of this mind controlis carefully collaborated in many forms, people are stripping themselves of their own rights, your news is fake media is fake and they are so low and dirty to use all tragedies to strip and persuade you,the people .
Poor Peter wang and all those other people but especially Peter bc he was holding the door for people he did not care about himself he cared for everybody we will love you and forever remember you rip😭😭😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Chris Evans did you would need you back my life on this we will see you soon or two days hope you take me out of town this weekend just hope it is good news of the best day of my life back on day and time
A Dancing Gamer I'm asking myself Why they standing in front of a green screen Clearly the background is a screen because there not at the actual scene doing the interview
Such big dreams they had for their future.. just imagine seeing your classmate dead on the floor motionless and cold and staring blankly.... that shit must be hard... especially when you know you’ll never see that person in your life again
I am crying right now... To go through something like this sounds so unimaginably devastating. (Edit: Some people in this comment section don’t have ANY human decency)
I agree. Incredibly sad, but also, they speak well of her and her family. Unfortunately, the asswipes responding to you obviously didn't have such great parenting. Sorry about that.
+Phd Craven Moorhead +Draxler M 2030 I've seen a lot of really stupid things on the internet, but right now you two take the cake. I mean, this is facepalm level stupid. Please don't reproduce.
Jessica Lee the rest of the people in the replies are IDIOT OK day you OVER REACT hopefully something bad happens to them and your fam should love you and who ever thoes people what dufases 🙄🙄🙄🙄
what kind of person asks harsh questions like this to two kids who were affected by this. it was traumatizing for them and these questions just brings everything back up for them.
There's another interview with these girls saying they are for the Second Amendment and even if there were stricter gun laws, he would if still got one illegally. I bet CNN wouldn't want to hear that smh
Whoever thinks these girls are actors are morons, this is not fake. I live in this community and this did happen and Hannah is a survivor. 17 people died and if you don’t believe me then hit me up on instagram or KIK and I will prove it to you. To the dumb fuck who called my niece a cunt, you are the communist.
CNN reporters everyone. Leave It to them to not show sympathy. Reading the messages teared up my eyes A bit. I can't imagine the trauma they went threw on that day.
+Jonny Colt No, you're clearly the braindead person in this conversation. I won't call you a zombie because they do still have enough brain activity to walk and moan.
I'm so upset with the reporter for asking the young girl "why were you able to walk out". Don't make her feel guilty for living through that terrifying day when her classmates didn't.
I'm glad they're willing to share their stories but the reporter asks shit questions and then doesn't know how to professionally react to their answers.
akadecoy I think the reporter was just trying to understand what my niece went through. I don’t personally like how they displayed my nieces texts but it helped her to tell her story. She has to do lots of therapy
The interviewer clearly has not ever had a conversation with a child before. Yes, a 17 y.o. is a child. My mom instincts naturally kick in when I am around or talking to children. You have to empathize with them, they are so intelligent and perceptive. My son told me once that one of his teachers made him feel very uncomfortable. I asked him how, and he said he couldn't put his finger on it but he felt very unsettled in her class. Then he told me that he expects all adults to be like me. And he was like 7 or 8 at the time. It just goes to show how truly tuned in children are. We are their protectors and care givers, even if they are not our own. Memo to the reporter: when you speak to children under the age 21, your tone of voice is everything. Children search for and crave sincerity in adults, with everyone. This was a hard experience for them, especially at times like this...truly connecting is everything. Its sad that after watching this video, instead of thinking is what's happened to all these children, I'm thinking about how you were asking hurtful question and speaking in a monotone voice. Good luck in ur career. To the girls, you guys are brave and strong. You did great by texting your big sister. You found strength in each other. You two are forever connected. Everyone affected, we love you and we are thinking of you and have you in our Prayers (even three years later)
I graduated high school in 1975 and in those days nothing like theses sad catastrophic school shootings never happened in the us .I am 60yrs old and I never seen these catastrophic sad moments in high school and the good students should not these terrible tragedy ,scary. Barry Shulman
comics: Are you for real! Shame on you trying to make money out of this horrific tragedy. I will report your posting to the appropriate advertising authority for action.
HP Z That disgusts me that they even exist. What a world!! My 15 yr old son knows what a lock down drill is. And why. Kids should NEVER be in fear, especially at home, or at school. God help us.
That is soooooo sad that they have to be a thing CHILDREN SHOULD NEVER EVER get shoot and be scared to go to school, school is meant to fun safe and friendly place so disappointing 😢😢😤😭🤧😞
I'm not a dude, dude and milking someone for a grief reaction is NOT her job. Course she might be a hack who wants shock value and a display of emotions. Tabloid teevee does this for the audience who sucks up this kind of shit, like you.
Wait you need phone service to call 911? My data can be off and I can still make emergency calls. Why can't they? Why doesn't the the teacher desk phone have service?
This journalist is so crass! She only cares about headlines period! Who asks a 17 yr old girl who is suffering from trauma of being in the school fearing for her life while others were being shot "why were you the one to walk out and they didn't?" Who does that?! Way to create survivors guilt! COME ON CNN! You should be ashamed to have a journalist who doesn't think far enough ahead to still get the story but use some tact while doing it. This old bag needs to go to sensitivity training or at least learn some empathy for children and other human beings.
R.I.P Everyone Who Died They Never Deserved to Die Especially in That Way 😭😭😭😭😭 And I Hope The Victims Family's Recover 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 And I Everyone Who Got Hurt Recovers 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Listen, don't bully people cause these things happen alot why can't we just get along and chill? God just wants us to be peaceful with each other and not fight.
But bullying is not an excuse to fucking kill people. I was bullied and I don't plan on shooting up mf's... mostly due to the fact that im smart and one day they'll be kissing my expensive feet
msotrfan1 I’m pretty sure police were called otherwise and obviously she wasn’t the only person dialing the number out of the hundreds of worried parents & staff at the school.
Did you not listen to the interview?!?! They said the older sister tried calling 911, but couldn’t get through, due to so many calling, so she called her father. When he got to the school, he got through. She wanted to continue talking to her sister, via text, to make sure she was okay. The second she stopped responding would most likely indicate she died.
i remember coming home from school that day. man. that was a lot to take in. i wont ever forget this moment of coming home and seeing this on the news. then realizing that i was lucky enough to not have this happen to my school...i hope every family who lost the victims of this shooting and all the family's who's kid had to witness this event are all doing okay now...💔💔💔
XxxYandereXxx Girl nope they are upset beacuse this is stupid. why doesnt anyone talk about problems unless its on the media? 1,600 kids under the age of 15 dies every year in the U.S. Beacause of car accidents. how bout talking about how to make roads and cars more safe??????
Am Pe in less than 10y they will demand legislation for you to turn in ur cars for AI upgrades and 6g wifi. False flag mass fake human crashes to come. Laugh all u want.
You sick horny fucks are out here talking shit to a fake account instead of the fact that she cared about what happened and that is fucking sad that children and adults died this week, you guys are the reason why there's shootings, because you guys are so brain numbed by porn and jerking off and being horny and being sexually frustrated because you are a failure and you won't get your ass up your house and work out and take care of yourselves and try to be nice for a girlfriend to get that terrible addiction of porn and jerking off, it slowly kills your brain and you inside and that makes you sick and depressed which is the reasons why there's school shooters in the first place, no mater what you say " I have a girlfriend" comments, you don't because you are out here being all sad that is a fake amount of a girl, fucking sick fucks we our here crying for the deaths of people while you horny brain numbed people just care about porn and porn and ass and ass and tits and tits, life is not just about sex, it's about enjoying it and boobs and ass are just fat on a girls body and all it shows is how weak you are that you make yourself look stupid and thirsty instead of caring about how people look at you, puberty hits us all hard I know that myself I am a guy but yall need to stop this shit, seriously it makes you sick slowly and I know that because all I have said it's because me myself went through this and it became and addiction to me that ruined almost my whole teenage life.
Social and regular media doesn't help with these shootings. No offense but they make the shooter more famous than the victims sometimes and that's exactly what that fucker wanted. What if another sick human being gets an idea like a copy cat criminal.
julian santos That might be true, but nevertheless people want to know about these incidents. Also it's important to raise awareness on the issue to finally implement at least some gun regulations.
elijah mikle I don't believe those gunmen do it for fame or recognition. I think it's a very personal struggle that leads them to commit these crimes. As long as people have the possibility to buy these guns, some will use it for evil anyway.
ToDD HeaDD that may be right to a certain extent but this kid said he wanted to be the "world most famous school shooter" there's so many people going through personal struggles you have people in the hood growing up with out parents and not having a proper place to start his personal struggles do not justify what he did at all.
Yes, but still these rampages wouldn't stop if news organizations stopped reporting about them. The only reasonable solution is restricting gun ownership.
All the kids they've been interviewing are so mature and seem like such good, thoughtful people. They make me ashamed. I'm not sure I was so mature and selfless at their age. These sisters are good people, and I'm glad they have each other.
This brought tears to my eyes. I'm so sad that we live in a world where are kids don't feel safe in school. Dear lord please Tudor this world of this evil and fill our kids hearts with love.
It's truly amazing how so many of these students kept their composure. Normally when a person is faced with a life or death situation such as this they go into absolute panic and a complete state of fear. They also suffer a complete loss of fine motor skills which prevent them from using their higher levels of critical thinking and reasoning because their base instinct to survive over-rides all other rational thinking. AMAZING! There must also be some strange atmospheric anomaly in that area of Florida that is preventing people from shedding real tears when they cry, but at the same time still feeling the need to wipe around their eyes to give the impression that they ARE actually crying. Stunning!
Dan Valdez it’s not fake. I know Kaitlin, Hannah’s sister, personally and her & her sister are very close. She posted the texts on Twitter as soon as the shooting happened, way before the news reached out to her.
Personally, I don't understand why young people don't create their own "Me Too" movement and start an assertive, national school boycott until the laws are changed. Just refuse to go to school...PERIOD. Stay out of school. As long as it takes.
Greg Hull i dont have thee answers something def needs to happen like now...Greg you may be on to something. My heart is breaking for these kids. May God help us all. Rip to all.that lost their lives.
It's crazy to think that Nick's trial is just NOW happening in July 2022. It's insane to me how long it takes to have a trial, I understand this situation is much bigger than most so I understand it takes a while. But still, it's sad. Watching the parents relive that and listen to the recordings is heart wrenching..
I wanted to be one of the unlucky ones, protecting the others just to make sure they have a chance at life.. This is terrifying to hear about and my heart goes to all of the families affected..
1) Tighter regulations on high-powered rifles. 2) All school doors must be bulletproof. No windows looking into hallways. 3) All classrooms must have enough bulletproof desks so all people in that room can hide behind them.
Are you going to school or fucking prison? Regulating high powered rifles isn't gonna help when they're easily accessible illegally imported from foreign countries without tracing them. Either way the dudes intentions was to shoot a school with a legal or illegal weapon doesn't matter still would of been the same case
Our school is a kindergarten-year 12 school. I have a little brother in year 4 and I am in year 9. We are both in complete opposite sides of the school. I have no way to contact him because he doesn't have a phone. It scares me that I am so far away from him and that this could happen at any time. I feel so sorry for anyone going through the pain of loss. I had a friend named billie kinder. She died of a horse riding accident. This was so painful for our whole school. And I feel ur pain in short extents. I am crying just thinking of loosing my loved ones. I am so sorry to everyone in the shootings. We are all here to help 💕
