I'm a big fan of CNA Insider but honestly it's very disappointing that the innocuous cotton sheep comment had to be censored. Even CCS said it's ok to make mistake? Is this self-censorship or requested by MOE? This is why CNA will never be taken seriously. This is why foreigners will always make snarky outdated comments about Singapore being "Disneyland with the death penalty."
as a foreigner,i think s'pore has made tremednous strides from its founding days. I mean giving people the freedom to speak, and freedom to choose their govt whilst trying to prevent chaos is hard imo.
I bet some director at MOE ordered for CNA to censor that part. Why would CNA self censor and draw more attention to it. Confirm some civil servant threw a fit after seeing it.
originally the video had the girl saying that she recognised the minister from a video where he mixed up cotton and another word that was similar but not the same and laughed at it
you obviously missed it. Kaylea told minister that that she has seen him before online. It was the cotton sheep video. Minister say it is ok to make a mistake as long as we learn from it. I did not know about cotton sheep and I googled and found out about it. If CNA really wants this conversation to be candid, why did they post it and then censor it. Kaylea is probably feeling that she did something wrong....
Yes, and CCS turned it into a learning moment when he admitted that even minister make mistake. I thought it was a bold move. 原来is not yet fully viewed and approved.
@@Treelia haha expected from these govt organisations. They try to portray themselves as more open-minded and progressive with using tiktok and doing these kinds of alternative style programs but at the end of the day nothing changes as long as the upper management is made up of the same type of kiasi civil servant.
I am a Malaysian mother of 3 and a homemaker. I did not send my children to any tuition cen😊tre except for the final major exam when they were 17 years old. They attended piano lessons and Kumon maths besides a few years if Indian classical singing. I found my eldest to be good in maths. He graduated as a Electrical n Electronics engineer. My second was average in all subjects, so she's doing Business Administration degree. My last is waiting his final secondary results n us interested in IT. So, no matter what subjects you are good, average or bad, there's always a future in whatever you do later. Just embrace your self worthiness.
My boy agrees with more time for chinese compo. Start school later and end later. Combine June and Dec holidays. 😂 Temperate climate country schools do have 1 mega summer break. How did we come up with June and Dec split?
I'm not sure if I am the only one who thought about it- but hearing Hanna say that she wasn't good in primary 3 to refer to her not scoring well in science and math made me wonder how alot of us relate not scoring well in exams with not being good in general as a person/ student. I would say it also kind of shows how the perception of exams is indeed a very concerning problem in today's age
Actually Sujay’s 3rd request is more feasible provided MOE allows students to choose and change one of their non-core lessons into elective modules which is practiced in universities.
Chan Chun Sing saying cotton is from sheep is being uploaded elsewhere in another video 😂😂 What goes online will find a way to stay online forever even with censorship......
If not him , then you? Who are you ? You questioned his inability but first look at your own first. You are just a nobody. No money, no education, no achievements. Absolutely nothing
Kaylea is honestly so funny ! I hope she does get things in the future and I hope to see her famous next time I hop she is not too affected by the cotton sheep thing 🩷
In this video, you can see how politicians respond to your requests. Anyway, thanks Sujay for such a good request of later starting time of schools! As long as MOE says schools can select their own starting time, most schools will still stick to status quo. I was lucky to be in a secondary school which started later though! Really makes a lot of difference in focus and attention! 8am to 2pm school time is really way better than 7.30am to 130pm. All schools should just start from 830am and have one recess time in the afternoons!
Am I the only one deeply annoyed at him laughing and giggling at the what could be valid concerns/questions from these children seemingly stressed by the school system? How about address and consider those concerns seriously and not laugh them off like they are not important? What’s his role there then
Wow! S'pore is the happiest country in Asia because s'poreans, young and old, acknowledge that PAP is the only competent and responsible party in s'pore.❤❤
Bạn tuition like China please. Or teach classes according to the pace of children’s average development. My 4 year old daughter is average, but she seems slow to many teachers who compare her with kids with enrichment ever since she was 2 years old. Made me anxious for nothing, pediatrician says she’s fine.
