@@smoothinvestigator I don't think more. I propend for an equal enlightenment. But she has to be isolated from the outside world, which, while plausible for men, is highly unlikely for "the gentle sex".
Schopenhauer was the father most of us didn't have... Even though he didn't leave any biological children. This is the real power of men. He is even more needed now, in these delusional times of weak childish unintelligent people.
I agree. I hope you are doing well Ivaylo I... I haven't read from you in awhile! You have an elaborate comment on Element's channel that I really enjoyed and I have made it quotable in my artistic projects. Take care, I genuinely wish you the best and please please do the extreme best to circumvent any hardship that's likely to occur! Much love and respect here!
Wow, this is so true for me. I come from a dysfunctional family and my father was not much of a father. I found Schopenhauer after graduation while I was in a state of depression and needed guidance. Indeed Schopenhauer was the father I always wanted. He helped me understand the world and human nature at its deepest level.
imagine the hilarity that would ensue if you could somehow get an average modern western woman 2021 and Schopenhauer in the same room to discuss gender studies.
@@pay2playwin4free27 how many stacy and chad does world remembers anyway? Not even kardashians meet the superiority these kind of gentlemen have in our society
@@pay2playwin4free27 It's important to note that many academics (especially those in the social "sciences") are shills for the most violent and criminal organizations on earth, "governments." Many of these academics who shill and brainwash for the state are undesirable to women, and cannot compete with hard working men in the private market. Therefore, they use the state apparatus to gain influence, wealth (comes from forced taxation), and power. I haven't read Schopenhauer's full body of work, or know if he had any relationship with government, but this essay is absolutely based.
Yea you can't even watch an intellectual movie with them and expect to be able to focus on it, let alone have an intelligent discussion about it afterwards.
@@theprogenitor951 oh, you mean liberals took a word that had a good connotation, applied it to something stupid/perverse, and ruined it? Say it isn't so. Like "gay"?
This made me laugh several times. I've thought or seen so much of what he wrote here, especially the part about being childish or stuck in the final stage of adolescence as I put it. It's simple to explain too. Women evolved into be a protected group, which is side by side with children, but men are are forced into the role of protecting all that is human. This is just how we have evolved psychologically as a result of the environment and biological roles over countless generations, and back to our more primal ancestors.
I'm not a Schoperhauerian but Schopenhauer's generalisations of women are true, women tend to be children, my mother is a child when it comes to arguing with my father. She's especially childish in her hate of being hugged and in her prejudice about Muslims, that she's "not a slave like an Egyptian, and don't have to serve you", I think she's missing the role of a woman, it's a woman's duty to serve hot meals to a man, and liquids to male liquitarians. Women are beautiful, but woe betide a woman arguing with a man who stinks, and arguing that the man is prejudiced. Do you blame him, all the appallingness of beliefs men hold is caused by evil women. These women don't learn to listen, and are not conscious so much as the solipsists, women are jealous for their freedom, it's only necessary for a man not to talk to a woman, and make paintings of misogyny, it's worthless how women act, they deserve paintings of them not being talked to by men. Women think misogyny is an evil philosophy, they think it's discrimination against women. You get misogyny sneaked in everywhere you go: in music, in cartoons, seen "Dexter's Laboratory"? Dexter calls Deedee "woman", it's very misogynistic, and have you heard the song "Evil Woman"? It's misogynistic. Famous misogynists include Charles Darwin, Christopher Hitchens, and Schopenhauer. Women the way they are are needed to continue the human race, God didn't design women to be easy so men get along, that's how the first argument was invented.
@@crawbug8932 probably the endless account of other men experiencing these things. Much like how metoo took off because multiple women had the same experiences with men. If enough people have the same stories it must be true, but i guess that reasoning only applies to women's issues and not men's right?
I've listened to this about 7 times and still very hard to grasp what EXCATLY is being said here. Do not mistake I have a prettyyyy good idea but not the whole idea. Buying the book next.
@@henrywolf5332 check out "The Manipulated Man" by Esthar Villar. A lot of similar ideas but it was written in the 1970's so it's a but more up to date with modern gender dynamics. It's funny that it was written by a woman and she made most of same observations as our boy Schopenhauer ~200 years ago. I think she was a literature professor or something and of course feminists tried to cancel her and get the book banned.
@@city_of_coompton6832 thanks for the recommendation. have only read the first 60 pages so far, less sugar coated then the man himself and articulated to a degree to dissuade most from reading as we usually like to keep these facts unconscious as it is what grounds most people so we follow the carrot she talks about. We live in a world of sad optimists and perpetually unfulfilled idealists. I stopped with the false ambitions and seek to fulfill my innate harmonious attractions and interests so at least doing is for a purpose I define even though I know I didn’t really choose as it’s all dependent origination and causal. It’s hard work to see and still live with some sense of understanding that I am the same unconscious being most of the time in need of my own compassion as are the other fools like me. Thanks again. Any other good reads. I’ve been reading borges the garden of the forking path. Good prose, not sure about the ideas as they are imbedded in aesthetically pleasing thought experiments that tickle the mind.
Idk what you value, if you think muscle mass and strength than maybe men are superior from a physiological view. I didn't say they were better than men either we're just different. I don't think men are worse for not doing well in school either or being easily distracted, or graduating less. For many years art and education were limited to men so it would make sense that more inventions and art have been made by men. But since then women have made contributions to genetics, science, physics, history, government etc. You can look up a list of inventions if you want and you can judge their importance. Historians say that agriculture was probably discovered by a women. As for art Frida Kahlo stands out, idk what you consider good art but she was an artist. Your entitled to your opinion but in my mind different but equal. The excess in women praise is just a product of neoliberalism, and the market co opting feminism.
Fair points, we could debate the validity of Schopenhauers points on that matter. But it still stands true the other things that he say, such as them being childish for life, fribolous, an economy pit
The most talented individuals in almost any subject are men. It doesn't matter how much you kick and scream, you cannot change the immutable natural order of this universe.

@@neethy1836 I agree. If women are narrow-minded, then how come men are not for limiting half of the population to "baby-makers", "gold diggers" and "big children"?
This guy is a big misogynist. I don’t agree with his view on women but his metaphysical interpretations of the world and general melancholic writings are interesting
Idiotic and pointless obsession with labels. Schopenhauer's take on the "will to life" and antinatalism was spot on, but - like all great thinkers - misplaced concreteness gets 'em.
He was a man living in the 18th century, where women typically didn't get educated have much rights an were seen more so as decorations and mothers, he was most likely going off of what he observed. If I was also living in that time I would probably also see women as inferior to men. Now it is the 21st century, women have more rights, have access to more opportunities and are not seen as belonging to a man and throughout history they have shown that they are capable of doing what men do whether good or evil.
And yet, they are still slaves to their nature. A woman can do anything a man can do intellectually, but they don't. Why? Because he was right. Dissimulation is innate in women. Its in their nature to lie and hide their true intentions. There's a reason his message is so popular today. its the anecdotal evidence given by men around the world via the internet that show he was 100% right.
This is what amazes me more. He knew those things in the 18th centry where women were tamed by more scrict societies. Now in the 21st century , when women are free to manifest their nature , it is very easy to See that He was right .
Perhaps women were never given an opportunity to express themselves in the arts or any forms of opinions. How now that they have made great art and literature and discourse in every social matter.
Meanwhile Diogenes the Cynic was a homeless, deprived mongrel and left us thoughts to consider thousands of years ago. There is no excuse for the void of womens’ thought over eons

@@boglot what does that monolithic nomenclature that "women don't change" imply tho? Are men also the same? And where do the non-heteronormative non-western population reside in this sweeping statement?
@@llamaliammm yeah I think men also have deeply rooted characteristics that are unchanged. Not sure if it’s a societal thing or genetic. To clarify on what I meant by “women haven’t magically changed”, I think what I was trying to say was that the wants and needs of women (generally speaking, not ALL women) are the same as they were a long time ago. For example, a woman in 2022 can support herself financially with no help, however I’m sure there’s a stat out there that shows most women would still prefer to have a man in their life who is the true breadwinner just like in the olden days. I think this is because the man is expected to be the “leading role” in a relationship for lack of a better term. Based on all the stories I’ve ever heard, most women do not like having to be the dominant figure in a monogamous relationship and they often compare it to babysitting. Your question about the gay community is a good question and I don’t have an answer for it
Why? Great thinkers throughout different centuries and different cultures have made similar observations. There must be something to it for so many intillegent men to independently arrive at the same conclusion.
@@city_of_coompton6832 Bingo! They cannot all be wrong -- Plato, Aristotle, Socrates, Napolean...they all shared very similar observations about a woman's nature. Are there exceptions? Sure, but the general observations about a woman's nature still ring true. As a woman myself, I see these tendencies in too many women everywhere...family, work, church...everywhere.
