This is how I understand in my own studies before I ever heard anyone say this. The teachers I used to listen to call the church the bride.

Rev 19:1: “After these things I heard a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven … (vs7-8): “Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready. And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. (vs9) “Then he said to me, Write: Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he said to me. These are the true sayings of God.”

How do you interpret Rev. 21:9b-10: “… Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife. And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God.” (?)

@@zionshopeorg1989 Thank you. Therefore, Does Mr. Weis believe the Millennial Kingdom will be the age where God brings to completion all his promises to the Jewish people and the house of Israel as expressed in Jeremiah 31:33-34 and Jeremiah 32: 37-41? Will the Millennial age be a place and time where Christ (the rightful King of the Jews and High Priest according to Melchizedek) reigns; King David; the 144,000 divinely sealed Jew from every tribe of the nation Israel (except Dan and Ephraim); the 13 Disciples (including Paul) of Christ and all ALL the house of Israel (Dry Bones - Ezekiel 37) rise and truly dwell “safely as expressed in Ezekiel 38:8 and 11?

He does believe the Kingdom or Millennium will be when God fulfills the promises God made to Israel, where Christ will physically rule over Israel and the world and all of Israel will dwell safely. He will address these topics in future videos in this series.

Rev. 21:2-3: “Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. (2 Corinthians 11:2b): “For I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.).

Thank you so much for speaking to this! I have pondered this question for the past year, yet every Believer I have asked it to has looked at me like I’ve lost my mind! The church is always spoken of as the Body, with Christ as it’s Head. It is never once called “the Bride”.

If the church were the bride of Christ, than we ought to be holy, and blameless before the throne of God... but in this day and age, the chuch is still imperfect... none of us are perfect, until we enter into glory... we have been washed by the blood of the lamb, and yet still at times, we sin, with thoughts of the mind, or the heart...

Proving the claim that "Israel is the Bride" is relatively easy if one sticks to the Old Testament, because then there wasn't yet a church. However, even in the Old Testament, one has to pick and choose. Who did *Boaz* , foreshadow of Christ, marry? He took *a gentile bride* , didn't he? Therefore, we hear no mention of *Boaz and Ruth* here, although their *union* brought forth King David - and our Lord Jesus.

Revelations 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. Revelations 21:9-27 9: And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials which were full of the last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will show thee the bride, the Lamb's wife. You can read the whole 21st chapter. New Jerusalem is the Bride of Christ. JESUS IS LORD 😎

Rev. 21:9b-10 forward to Rev. 21-23-24: “And the city (holy Jerusalem) had no need of the sun or the moon to shine in it, for the Lamb is its light. And the nations of those who have been saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it.”

there's replacement theory then there's this i can only describe as separation theory. the bible says we believers are the true jew, yes we shouldn't be prideful that "they" were cut off from the tree as it's much easier to graft them back on, but this says we true believers are the same tree. ofc the jews are still special to God and He'll bring them into the new covenant with the 144k, but that's them into us to be the first fruit

Everything is about and for the jews, do we gentiles matter to God at all? We are not as important? Are we (gentiles) not as worthy?

(Revelation 21:4) reveals the church is not the bride, of Christ... at the last supper, Jesus broke the bread, and said, this is My body...

Ephesians 2:14 There is no longer Jew and Gentile in the Kingdom of God...we are ONE new man. So if a Jew is a Bride, then a Gentile is also...we are now ONE.

I have read somewhere that Israel is God the fathers bride and the Church is the Son's bride. I think I saw that in Marv's pre-wrath book but not sure. My understanding was that Israel is redeemed as God the fathers bride later in Daniels 70th week. And the marriage supper of the lamb is immediately following the rapture at the end of the sixth seal and is the Church.

No, that's messed up theology. There is only One Bride, made up of ALL saved believers through the ages - both Jews and Gentiles.
@Piped4Sound
@Piped4Sound 5 месяцев назад
Only the church - which will be made up of Jews who believe in their Messiah, and gentiles who have been grafted in through belief in the Jewish Messiah - all having the Holy Spirit, will be in the Kingdom. And I should add, those who had faith in God prior to the Completed work of Christ regarding sin. Is that not the bride? (2 Co 11:2) was glossed over in this message, but shouldn't be. Truly it never entered my mind that this negated the Scriptural promises and prophecies that have not yet been fulfilled regarding Israel, and the land, as the Apostle Paul makes very clear in the book of Romans. Jesus is my beloved, I have no other. This message is like a gut punch to the non-Jewish Christian - all in the fear that some might believe in Replacement Theology otherwise. People who believe in Replacement Theology don't believe the scriptures.

Yes, a gut punch to the Gentile believer indeed! And I believe it is *wrong* . Because Jesus tore down the separation wall. There is *NO longer* Jew or Gentile - all are ONE in Christ! We are grafted into the tree, and adopted into God's family. Just as Ruth. Just as Rahab. There are *no second class citizens* in the Kingdom. Guarding against replacement theology can take one *too far* in the other direction.

The Old Testament and New Testament believers both are the bride. Revelation reveals that. 12 elders representing NT and 12 elders representing OT. The bride is all believers who are resurrected with Him to join with Jesus upon His resurrection. They are the believers from Adam until resurrection of Jesus. They are called the first fruits because Jesus resurrected with them at the exact hour of the feast of the first fruits. Then there are NT believers that came to the saving knowledge of Jesus from His resurrection until the rapture. The tribulation saints are different group of people. You have to rightly divide the scripture but have to look at the big picture of God in it. The church is the believers in the past 6,000 years until the rapture takes place. The guests in the supper of lamb are either the resurrected tribulation saints after Satan is bound up in chains. Or they are “normal” humans with no glorified bodies who survive the tribulation and make it into Jesus’s millennial kingdom as mortals. The sin nature still remain in them and their offspring. That is why at the end of 1,000 years of Jesus’s reign vast majority of mortals who populate the earth will rebel against Jesus.

💢 Israel is the Bride of the Lamb, not the Church. The union of the lamb and the Bride will take place straight after the Great Tribulation and before the Millennial reign. Revelation 19:7 says... For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and HIS BRIDE has made herself READY. KJV says... for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and HIS WIFE hath made herself ready. The Greek says, The marriage of the lamb and the WOMAN of him has made herself ready. Greek word used is γυνὴ (gynē) it means woman. And of course in the old Testament metaphorically, Israel is the WIFE of God, who he gave a certificate of divorce. But in Gods his mercy he calls her to repent and to return come back to him. 👉The WOMAN spoken of in Revelation 19:7 is the same WOMAN found in REVELATION chapter 12. Israel is the woman who will be married back to God the lamb. The bride of the lamb is NOT the Church. The Church is ready,... Israel is NOT yet ready. However she will be in the future. We the Church are the invited guests to the marriage... 💢Revelation 19:9 Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!” And he added, “These are the true words of God.” 💢JOHN 3:29 The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The FRIEND who attends the BRIDEGROOM waits and listens for him, and is full of joy when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete.
