Oh No! I So Feel Your Pain! I have Been There! About 20 years ago I had just arrived in Northern Saskatchewan, Canada where I would be spending the next month filming Whitetail Deer while hunting them. Saskatchewan is a Long, Long way from the Pungo Prairie! On the first morning out I climbed up 25' in a tree. My guide tied the backpack containing my nearly $3,000.00 camera onto the pull up rope. I ALWAYS tie my own knots! However on this particular morning I was anxious to climb the tree so I let my guide tie the knot securing my back pack. I did hoist the pack up the tree that morning without any event. I spent the entire day capturing Amazing footage. However, come sundown. I placed my camera back into my backpack and began to lower it to the ground. The instant I placed it over the side of my perch in the tree, the knot came loose and the pack along with my camera went plummeting to the forest floor below! I was in Shock! I hastily, and rather unsafely, scurried down the tree. When I opened my pack I could see right off that my camera had shattered with the fall. I almost Cried! "What Now"! How was I going to film for the entire month ahead of me with no camera? I was just sick to my stomach! My friend Victor, who owned the camp, put his assistant Holly to task. Holly was able to locate another camera identical to mine at a shop in Winnipeg, Manitoba. They put the camera on a bus and delivered it to Big River about 20 Kilometers away from camp two days later.. The camera was rented for my entire stay. I ended up filming one of the biggest Whitetail Bucks I have ever taken on the 21st day of the hunt! Shortly after arriving back home on the Pungo Prairie I received a package from Fed Ex. That package contained that very same camera. Victor had purchased it from the company we had rented it from & gifted it to me. Tempy & Sam, Your story in this video is one of encouragement & hope. Thank You Both for that!
