I keep an envelope for my kids monthly activities. Since it’s summer time and no activities are in session, I am still putting money there to plan for supplies and other needs that can occur when their activities resume in the fall. I didn’t want to allocate that money elsewhere just to have to figure it out again come beginning of the season. -Leslie

After you make it, laminate it, then use a regular hole punch to remake the holes. This way it will last longer.

Try folding the envelope first then laminate it folded up. cut off the top to open it up. I use 3mm laminator pouches to make dashboards this way and they punch fine. Although I know the mambi punch isn’t consistently reliable for everyone

Radishes for the Resistance I’ve done that.. it does work however my new envelopes I made are card stock so I can’t laminate them 😩😩

I use the paper books from Micheals, cut them to size and then laminate it. Take an exacto knife and cut the slit open. Works perfectly!

You can use a hole punch and scissors to be able to use the laminated things in your planner. It's not quite as good as the punch for the planner but works well. It would be awesome for them to be laminated and just use a wet erase pen for it over and over. Thanks for sharing.

Try folding the paper first before you laminate it. It’ll help lay it flat & then you can just cut the extra off, and cut the opening. You can fit multiple envelopes on the same laminate sheet.

So a sinking fund is essentially a way for you to save money for a big expense over a period of time. The example i love to use is car tags. We know every year we have to pay them so instead of being hit with a huge amount at one time you save a little towards it each paycheck. It makes the burden easier ☺️

Do you think about lamenting your cash envelopes? They would last even longer (alot more durable) and also you could easily erase the transaction info on the back with either an alcohol wipe or better yet your finger (as long as you don't use a permanent marker/sharpie).

Yup i tried that and it was to thick for the punch. I may have to use regular paper and laminate that instead of the card stock. Cause that was my whole thought process like i could really get them to last for ever lol

What about bills? Like light rent or mortgage etc? Also, do you save any money. I'm going to start working in march of this year and I'm totally doing this. I'm determined to only use money on necessary things and save as well. No more living paycheck after pay check 😭

Hi. I am monetized and i dont include it with my regular income cause it isnt stable. So i either reinvest or save. But its saved for “business” so like my etsy and youtube get the same treatment. Hope that made sense lol

I fill my envelopes every time I get paid. There are people who budget well enough that they can get cash out for their envelopes to be filled once a month. It's all down to what works best for you.and keeps you most accountable.

Beatbydom funds that you save up for. Like if your car tag is coming due, basically you take how many paychecks you have between now and when it’s due, divide the amount that costs by the number of paychecks and that’s how much you need to put away each time to have enough when it comes due. That’s just one example, but you could do it with a vacation, or a birthday present you need to buy, whatever you want. She has a video on it as well if you need more in depth answers (which you probably do because I suck as describing things!)

I am assuming you haven't watched other videos, i take pride in my nails. If I ever show an inperfection it is because I couldn't get in to my nail tech. Thanks for being great
