Nice assembly and description of the build. As you stated the details are nice. I have just bought the kit to build 👍👍

Hi Rpanther - thanks for the awesome note. I'm sure you'll enjoy building your Stug, it's a great kit and looks fantastic once built up and painted. It's a bit tricky getting some of the parts attached but be patient and have a look at the painting episode for hints on how to use thin CA to ease the process. Good luck!

Tomas a very helpful video. I ordered one of the Takom StuG Iii Ausf f8 Early Production models today. I’m sure I will be going back to this video when I build mine. Thanks for posting this video. Larry

It's very nice tutorial. Also, this video will help for whom are going to start assembly this kit. Thanks for sharing. Please stay safe, NOB

Hey PM - glad you could stop by. And thanks for watching! Nice thing about model building is that we can shut ourselves away from the world (and build models). Never thought keeping safe could be so much fun! You stay safe too my friend.

Hi Vic, thanks for the comment. My compressor is kaput but a new one should be arriving any time. I have an AVGP Grizzly screaming for paint then the Stug will get the business. Stay well.

It looks easy since all the nasty bits are edited out, like the cussing, dropping parts on the floor, etc. The magic of video! Thanks Tony De.

Looks like a great kit I can’t wait to see it finished, and I must say I really enjoyed the editing in this video 👍

Thanks a lot Epic. Those 4 frame shots are a bitch to string together - as tedious as sanding 40 plus tank wheels. But it's always fun to watch after rendering. Thank you for mentioning it and glad you could drop by!

Thanks for the note James. I usually build out of the box to give viewers an idea of what the kit is like on its own merits. I like putting stowage and after market parts on my models when I build but I have to restrain myself for these videos. Hopefully this helps people to decide if they'd like to buy and build the kits that are featured. Best of luck on your own projects!

Hi Steve, thanks for the note. My compressor is kaput but the new one should be arriving anytime so I'm a bit behind with the painting. Should catch up soon. All the best!

Good morning friend, thank you and congratulations for the video. One question, would it be historically correct if I add the rear structure for stowage to this kit, and Schurzen skirts? Thank you
@stevieRay3211
@stevieRay3211 Год назад
Hi Claudio and thanks for the awesome comment. Yes to both of your questions. Although armoured vehicles look large there is very little room inside them so the crews put all kinds of stowage on the outside. Also the Stug served throughout the war and the skirts started to appear when the Germans encountered anti-tank rifles, so putting them on a Stug would be fine. Best to search for pictures on the internet as that may give you some ideas for your model. All the best to you!

There shouldn't be uninformed judges at model shows. I would expect that they are across the subjects that they are judging.
@stevieRay3211
@stevieRay3211 3 года назад
I don't blame them given how many vehicles there are out there and sometimes these guys have to judge dozens of models within a short time. Still I've had my models docked at shows for silly stuff like wheels of different colour, or when I used early and later versions of idlers (one of each) on a later version tank. German wartime maintenance was frantic and even desperate late in the war and mechanics had to make due with what they had. If the part fit, they used it. Who wants to look at 16 wheels on a tank model that are identical!

Hi Mike. Life's got me pretty busy but I managed to steal some time to finish the Stug. Just waiting for a replacement compressor (old one is kaput) so I can finish painting. Thanks for dropping by!
